And I need to continue from where I last left off. Which was the introduction to Skyhold.
heh, that's where I've been at for months too
People on a few other sites seem to be clamouring over the prospect of post-campaign DLC given the presence of [sp]Solas[/sp] in preview screenshots.
They really need to calm down, any post-campaign DLC release would almost certainly be the -last- piece of DLC released, as it would effectively serve as a 'bridge' to a sequel. See Witch Hunt & Mass Effect: Arrival.
I'd expect 1-2 substantial pieces of content, of which this is the first, followed by a bridge DLC.
Witch Hunt never existed, or so I chose to believe
Mixed early reaction to Jaws of Hakkon. It's essentially another area to play with for $15, rather than a story-driven DLC like Legacy or Lair of the Shadow Broker.
Seems overpriced to say the least. Imagine if each area of Inquisition had a $15 value...
Short Story 3-5 Cutscenes (Though the ending is good)
No new sequences with companions or love interests
Vacant area filled with fetch quests, busy work, a couple of Boss Fights and new enemies and some new lore bits
Yeah. It seems like I'm gonna skip it.
Really? A shame I loved Inquisition, I even loved fetch quests. But it's not worth THAT price...
I stand corrected lol
That would mean this didn't disappoint you.
Exactly.
How does

Not disappoint you?
Because it's a brand new area with plenty of side-quests and shit to do.
Oh, ok, it's the usual "have three or four main quests and then ten to fifteen uneventful side/fetch quests"
I'll pass
To hear the producer tell it, it's suppose to be a fusion of the open-world maps and the script and story of the story missions.
BUT I WOULDN'T KNOW, SINCE I HAVE A PS4.
For those who want to pass it and needs a brief plot summary, here are the two main plot points of the DLC:
[sp]- The Avaar attacked the first Inquisitor's forces because they got angered at Ferelden neutrality during the war (I'm assuming it's the war against Tevinter, but don't quote me on that). They decided to summon one of their gods, Hakkon, in the form of a dragon. Guess who's the final boss of the DLC
- The first Inquisitor was an elf who got in ibernation to contain Hakkon. If your Inquisitor is also an elf, he will lament the fate of his people. If Cassandra is in the party, he will also mention that the first Inquisition included mages and the kind to better deal with demons and maleficari, and that he opposed the large use of the rite of tranquillity[/sp]
Looks like Playstation and 360 owners will have to wait until May sometime to play the DLC. And if it's a full 60 day delay, it'll be the END of May. Black Emporium is also May, but at least it'll be free. I think this is a good time to not think about Dragon Age for a month or two.
Just started playing Inquisition again recently and I regret not getting into it earlier.
Do I need to have played the previous games to enjoy Inquisition or does it stand on it's own?

You can play it standalone, but it would enhance the experience if you played DA:O and DA2 before it
Just bought this game, took ages on my elf character.

OH YEAH BABY!
You can play it standalone, but it would enhance the experience if you played DA:O and DA2 before it
No it doesnt. DA:O is way out of its times and way to clunky and graphics are shit to pick up for the avarage gamer right now. DA2 was a shit game I wish I never played it. Inquisition is alot better and is a pretty decent rpg but it has it flaws thought alot of gamebreaking bugs but if you can see past that its pretty good standalone.
Anyone rating me dumb this is my opinion I play alot of games of all kinds ofcourse I am very fucking subjective on this. You can bet ur ass I got no life and im dedicated to play ti'll I end up in my coffin. Im the kind of guy who is perfectly fine with being miserable as fuck. having a girlfriend dont change that so I give up on that to. But hey atleast I can give clouded judgements on games right.
40 hours in and it occurs to me my character looks like Luigi.
finally finished DAO and i wasn't a big fan of it. only companion character i liked was oghren, the quests were meh overall and the story was too damn generic for me to like it. now i'm getting into DA2 and i can see why people didn't like it, and holy shit these default graphics are a joke was this secretly made in 2005 or something, the hi-res patch makes it look a little better but it doesn't do much. hope to kinda just bumrush through this one and get onto inquisition.
mass effect is a much better series. bioware needs to stick to sci-fi games, or get better fucking writers for medieval fantasy.

I made my characters chin too small and his beard is floating off his chin and you can see through the gaps. Noticed it 50 hours in and it ruined my playthrough.
Is it worth collecting the shards in the Hinterlands?
Is it worth collecting the shards in the Hinterlands?
The shards are worthwhile collecting anywhere. They give you access into a temple in the Forbidden Oasis that can grant you permanent magic resistances.
Problem is you need to collect alot of them.
Oh that's cool, I was just doing some quests in Hinterlands for the farmers, one of kill the wolves so I completed it and looted the amulet. [sp]The amulet makes all wolves in the area friendly and follow you around, helping kill enemies[/sp]
I was determined to 100% the game so I did it. I didn't realise till the very end that the shards did something other than open a secret cave in each region.
The region with the shard temple was the last I visited.
Well someone drop that little hint to Jesse, 'cause he could probably use that shit for Nicholas Mage.
The new Humble Bundle has the first two DA games in it
And we all know which one is more worthwhile. Though I still like the Mage's staff attack style from 2 over how it worked in Origins, and I was pleasantly surprised to see how it was improved even further in Inquisition.
Back in Origins it was just singular bolts every two seconds, really not anything too entertaining. Then along comes DA2 that causes you to fire off 4 bolts in quick succession (one every 0.6 seconds) then perform an overly-fancy flourish to launch a fifth bolt. And THEN we have Inquisition where that flourish fired three bolts simultaneously, which was the icing on the staff cake since before the flourish seemed unnecessary and I just fired off a spell before the flourish happened.
Come to think of it, can we have a mod for Origins where Mages wield their staffs like they do in Inquisition? Much more satisfying to be flinging bolts around than just pushing your staff forward in a dull ineffective manner.
Just finished up the main questline build up in The Hinterlands where you a pick a side, now I'm in the position to do the war table mission leading after that, should I go ahead and go straight into it or should I complete all the side quests and other areas first.
