and its probably obvious and backed up but i can't seem to connect to the da servers to import anything
[t]http://i.cubeupload.com/r1ptrP.png[/t] This is with the ultra preset [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/RrqU4U.png[/t] This is with the high preset [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/rF2dP6.png[/t] This is with my settings that I configured myself which is basically ultra mesh quality, texture quality, terrain quality and effects quality with everything else being on high. I do have 4x msaa on. [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/WosvJO.png[/t] Turned down post process quality to high and dropped to 2x msaa.
Does the game have any form of super sampling? If so, turn that off.
DECIDE FOR ME PEONS Mage = Optimistic Warrior = Useful
Just msaa.
Am i to understand you can't just go ahead and create a completely customized world state? Seems as though i can change maybe 2-3 things per game and the rest sets as whatever it feels like and is unchangable
"Installation is still in progress" The fuck is this? Why is my game installing after i've been playing it for an hour? Pain in my ass.
Just msaa.
If the game is unplayable for you then you should wait for the new nvidia driver, it SHOULD be out today
Dicked around in character creation for an hour. Didn't like how it turned out. Dicked around in character creation for another hour. Still didn't like how it turned out. Blegh I'm going to bed... [editline]18th November 2014[/editline] Also is it just me or is the non-american male voice actor really bad?
Anyone here with an HD7850, Phenom 955 and 4GB of RAM getting the game mind posting how it runs?
Got the same video card, but using this cpu instead of yours and 8 gigs of ram, dunno if that matters much. It runs at a constant 50 to 60 fps with most stuff on medium and high, but still has some stuttering issues, especially when in town or large battles, still seems like it'd be playable for you though. As far as the game itself goes, its definitely still a big departure from DA:O's rpg system, the combats improved and holy shit you can jump, but the actual character building and progression seems really limited compared to Origins, and the removal of any kind of healing spell is kind of a bummer. Still, theres far more stuff to do in this than in either of the other two games, just not as much depth to it as before.
Apparently there is a fix that sets the cutscenes to 60 FPS again. Just place "-GameTime.MaxSimFps 60 -GameTime.ForceSimRate 60+" as your launch options. Can anyone confirm? I'm at school right now, so I can't try it out.
Even if I'm not playing Dragon Age II, I already have doubts about who I should romance I'm a male and etero, so I'm either going for Isabella or Merrill The problem is the former looks just like an edgy whore dressed as a pirate, while the latter, even if sweet, sounds like your usual weaboo "I hope senpay-kun will notice me ..." kind of waifu Thoughts?
I wish they had a character creation demo for Inquisition, I don't think I'm gonna be able to get it for awhile but I really wanna make my character

Merrill is not like that at all, although I did not romance her, but simply got far into the game (was trying the romance but never actually got past the first few stages). She is very cute and innocent but its because she was sheltered her entire life, I wouldn't really compare her to a character like Liara which is similar, as Merrill is far more ready to fight and very passionate about her beliefs. I'd say a bit like Tali from ME1, she is clearly sheltered and inexperienced, but isn't a dainty little girl who needs constant protection. Maybe she does go full waifu though, idk, its bioware :pwn:
Well, this isn't looking like it's going to be very good. [t]http://i.imgur.com/Trgr3aj.png[/t]
Daily reminder that Jörg Luibl (EiC of that site) is using review scores to gain unwarranted attention. Don't even bother.
Metacritic users are giving the game a low score. About 54 have popped up since the game was released. Lots of people giving it low scores "because Dragon Age 2 was rubbish". Lots giving it bad reviews just because the press gave it good ones. Let's take a look at some of the negative reviews:
Thank god i didn't buy this game

i say f*ck em'. apply pressure with low scores and snarky reviews until they bow to their master: the gamer.

Everyone is supposed to be bisexual in the universe but they included two exclusively 100% gay characters for some **** reasons and one of them even has daddy issues because someone's sexuality wasn't **** accepted by his papa.

The hole DAI feels like it`s an single-player MMORPG with little to show for.

Never felt the urge to voice an opinion on a game but it is only because I loved Dragon Age Origins so much I felt I had urge Bioware to change...
A lot of these came out less than an hour after launch. 54 negative reviews? A lot mention "SJW" being a reason to negative review this. When did gamers become such spoilt single minded brats? I would be physically ashamed to write a negative review on an a website including the words "bow the their master: the gamer". Also big shout out to the guy who said he LOVES DA:O and characters can only be bisexual. When DA:O had non bisexual characters.
Metacritic users score for anything is, metaphorically, a cesspool full of shit and I wonder it hasn't be cut down entirely due to how misleading it is
Nvidia drivers are out.
I just posted asking on the validity of Denurvo and shortening a SSD's lifespan. Let's see how many seconds before it's deleted. Any bets?
Posted where?

Okay so I encountered a pretty unfortunate bug. After customizing the face to not be a monstrous Stallone expy, which takes way longer than it should, I do the tutorial stuff, no biggie. When you first level up, the tutorial pops up and talks about the character record and ability points, I invest and then go to the cutscene where you make your first choice, but I couldn't select anything with the mouse. I figured I'd just alt-f4 and load an autosave, and that works fine, it autosaved right when I leveled up. But I couldn't open the character record. It was just padlocked in the menu and p didn't open it. I figured that I could get the tutorial to unlock it again next time I leveled up. I'm now level 5 and in the first open world area and I still can't sink my skyrocketing ability points. Looks like the only way it unlocks is that one scripted level up right after you close your first rift, so my only option is to start over.
Anyone tried using a VPN to play it? Never tried a VPN on origin preorder games so I wanna know if it works before i buy before the release date for EU.

Here's some charts to see what the performance is like on different hardware. http://www.gamestar.de/spiele/dragon-age-inquisition/artikel/dragon_age_inquisition_im_technik_check,46872,3080155,4.html Dark green is Ultra, Green is high, Yellow is medium, and Red is good luck, it'll work, but working isn't the same as playable

Ugh, not enough money to buy game. Want to play badly.. :(
Is the optimization bad? Just heard that a 980 wont reach 60 fps on ultra
You don't really need ultra. Game looks fantastic even on high with lowered AA.
I closed a rift and decided to check out the house next to it. There was a woman living inside who made no mention of the demons sitting five feet from her house earlier.
