So, the Trespasser DLC is out
If someone could, I really need thoughts on it, because, if the trailers are anything to go by, this DLC may actually have meaningful story content and be something else than filler

It sets up the plot for the next game and sets the course for the inquisition as well. I could go into detail story wise but that'd be some hardcore spoilers.
Maybe wait until it's on sale, it didn't feel like I got something worth it's current pricetag.
Does the DLC feature references to the previous DLCs?
Not from what I've played.

I don't think EA DLC ever goes on sale.
Mass Effect 3 DLC is still full price.
Which is why I'll never get Citadel :(
I'm thinking about playing Dragon Age: Inquisition again
At any rate, I won't buy the previous two DLCs
I got the incentive I needed to replay the game

the inquisition deluxe upgrade is on sale, i bought it.
I'm kind of forced to resurrect this thread once again
I'm currently replaying the game and having problem unlock some companion quests, especially Solas' and Blackwall's
Is there a way to rise up Solas' approval in any way? At least Blackwall's approval can be rised with his personal fetch quest
Also, while I completed Cole's Subjected to His Will quest, I can't have that event with him in Val Royeaux afterwards
On a side note, replaying this game made me reconsider a lot of choices I made
By far, the best retcon I made is about making grand duke Gaspard the sole emperor of Orlais, which lead to a fucking amazing boss fight against [sp]grand duchess Florianne[/sp], since boss fight against rogues are hard to come by in RPGs
Are there any good mods you guys would recommend for DAI? I'm disappointed it doesn't seem to have as many mods, or as big of mods, as DAO or even DA2 did. I picked up a few from the DA Nexus, like one that makes people's faces less oily, and some ones that boost EXP/Influence gain, along with more loot.
Sorry for bringing back this thread, but the Black Emporium DLC is amazing! Infinite crafting supplies make back tracking non-existant, plus I can easily sell some of my junk when they don't serve their purpose.
Jaws of Hakkon is next, is level 15 too low for the DLC?
What the fuck? The Inquisition DLC is all €15? Excluding the minor stuff, of course. It's cheaper to buy the GOTY Edition than it is to buy the DLC. €45 for 3 DLC pack or €40 for the whole game and all the DLC? Price your shit more reasonably EA.

Tell me about it
I've bought both the Descent AND the Jaws of Hakkon out of desperation
I'm only slightly peeved that the DLC prices were never lowered after the years. Still, if 15 bucks means 10-20 more hours I'm game.
Is it just me or does the combat suck?
Should I play on easy?

I didn't have any problems with the combat and I played through it on hard. I liked the combat, compared to previous entries in the series at least. What class are you?

I assume it was my own fault; I'm not really familiar with the intricacies of the gameplay so I picked archer on Hard.
Restarted as a daggers rogue on Normal and I'm enjoying it a bit more.
It's kind of odd, archers were OP as fuck in Origins.
I'm currently playing as an elven archer inquisitor on normal and could say everything is going fairly well

At the end of the day if playing on easy makes the game more enjoyable for you, go for it. No one will really judge you.
It was a long time since I played but with mage and specialization of Knight Enchanter you could take dragons alone but I'm reading they nerfed them since then. Rogue with his Assassin and Tempest specs could give some serious damage. Warrior with his Champion spec was unkillable on the other hand.
Im glad that there are finally mods that let you wear the Ancient elven armor.

I have to say, taking aside:
1) Not being the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
2) The questionable characters' animations
3) The shoehorned open world elements
Dragon Age: Inquisition is still a very good game
I'm waiting patiently for news about Dragon Age 4 or something because it'll probably take place in the Tevinter Imperium (and my theories are wild about what the playable character will be)

They better not lock you into a particular race because that would be super dumb.
I would rather play as one of my past protagonist's again instead of having to deal with another hawk situation.

I really wouldn't mind playing my Grey Warden again as playing the Inquisitor is out of the question with the last DLC.
Yeah, the only inquisitor I can see fighting ever again after trespasser is a mage, and not well enough to be viable as a protagonist.
The hero of ferelden would be a cool choice but then you have to remember it's entirely possible for Him/her to die at the end of DAO.
Im hoping they just go for a fresh new character preferably with a bunch of backgrounds to pick from.
Maybe have stuff like inquisition solider, mage/templar, grey warden origin stories for the player character, that would be neat

It's an alright game. Writing-wise I have only a couple of issues. The main bad guy suffers from dramatic introduction but then you stop all of his other plans. As for the diversity writing I didn't mind it, it was done pretty well, not-in-your-face for the most part (except for the Bull who couldn't stop talking). The game did make Qunari look more progressive than before though. Before they were this very strict society and now they allowed all bunch of stuff.
The main problem with the game is landscape management. They made bunch of cool looking maps but then forgot to fill them with stuff to do and if they did the quests were boring as hell. If they combined and merged the cool parts of some maps they would get a couple of cool maps filled with interesting quests.
My best guess regarding Dragon Age IV, regarding the possibility of multiple races for your character, is about the protagonist being either a Tevinter slave or a member of the Qun taking part in the invasion against the Imperium
The game did make Qunari look more progressive than before though. Before they were this very strict society and now they allowed all bunch of stuff.
The Qun isn't progressive, It's actually hugely oppressive in it's way- it's just also really pragmatic , and places people in the role the qun dictates they are most suited for.
The way Qunari handle transgendered people makes perfect sense, If someone born a woman identifies as a man- exactly how productive are they going to be if you stick them in a "female role"?- send them to the Antaam where they will actually embrace their role under the qun in a way that benefits qunari society on the whole "but they have bewbs!" isn't the kind of thing that crosses a qunari's mind.
I just hope they put a somewhat decent tactical camera that let's you play the game like Dragon Age: Origins.
I loved the first game but I just can't get into this one for so many different reasons..

(still my favorite track in the series)
I beg to differ
