The amount of fetch quests in this game is surreal, and the vastness of the maps only serve to make said quests frustrating beyond belief.
The amount of fetch quests in this game is surreal, and the vastness of the maps only serve to make said quests frustrating beyond belief.
I've read that the game is filled to the brim with content to the point you will have a very bad time with it if you try to complete everything, since it is not expected that you actually try and do everything. The best way to play is to prioritize doing things that matter vs things that don't matter. Doing a fetch quest here and there can be good as a distraction or to get power/resources, but not something you are expected to actually do over and over again. I really like that approach to design, though the game doesn't sound like it conveys it very well at all. Open world games need to get better at actually making it obvious which things are important and which things are not, and when the best time to do certain things is - much like in real life. Players are conditioned to complete everything, and a good open world game should give a lot of options but discourage completionist playstyles (but at the same time not totally lock you out of doing that if you really wanted to - it just wouldn't be an efficient or optimal way to play the game).
I still don't know if this is good or not
Do we have a FP multiplayer group? Maybe we should add our Origin names and then add it to the OP for easier grouping and stuff when someone wants to play.

This is a silly game.
Why do you people buy this when you know it has that SSD breaking DRM. I sure as hell know I dont want that shit on my computer espeicly with an RPG like that which you play hours on end.

It's a dumb way to do DRM but it isn't unavoidable.

I'm running this now on an SSD and I'm seeing nothing out of the ordinary.

Yesterday evening I discovered that I don't need to replay Dragon Age: Origins to fix my choices for the sequel because, apparently, there is a working save files generator for the import (which you can download here) Before leaving my currently walkthrough, though, I decided to take some souvenirs ... Personally, I found the mage origin to be a bit underwhelming, compared to the human noble one. But it does have its moments Also, if you have specced yourself as an arcane warrior or a blood mage (or worse yet, both), you are a fucking game-breaking cheater
Guys, give me some feedback here. Is it worth buying?
FP loves its anti-BW circlejerk.
haven't touched DA:I just yet, so I can't say if it's any good or not but recently they've generally been pretty shit overall.

While many hardcore fans are getting disillusioned, there's still plenty of people that love their games. Heck, there's even quite a few people who legitimately think Mass Effect 3's ending was good.
Guys, give me some feedback here. Is it worth buying?
I would say yes. Even more so if you are a Dragon Age franchise fan.

Anyone else getting bug where if you take too long on the title screen/options the game just freezes? Before you say it might be because your computer isn't good enough, that is not the case and I don't have dual core, I have quad.
You don't really need ultra. Game looks fantastic even on high with lowered AA.
You don't need it but there's not really any reason you shouldn't be able to run it with those settings on a good rig. I mean part of why I do PC gaming is to get the most out of my games both with graphics and functionality, it's a real shame if I can't get that kind of thing because they ported it funny. I hope they do some patching before I buy it to make it less buggy / run nicer since I've been hearing a lot of people have problems with it

Updating to the ad beta drivers fixed it for me (hopefully). I haven'the had time to fully check it out. It also boosted my GPS by like 20.

It's really a shame how many people don't realise how The Keep can be used.
everyone in this game looks transgendered
What site in particular is selling this at the lowest price, coupons and discounts included?
everyone in this game looks transgendered
Everyone in this came keeps referring to my male mage as "her" or "she". It's starting to get a little annoying...
everyone in this game looks transgendered
I wouldn't say that, but there are some real ugly people in this game.

Is anyone getting really bad choppiness during cutscenes/conversations? It's pretty much ruining the experience for me. Tried the 60fps cutscene fix as well.
