so i want to play this game but i wanna pc controller. i've got a wii classic controller pro, is that good? there are some products that connect its to a pc http://www.amazon.com/Wii-Classic-Controller-Adapter-PC/dp/B0089O4EB0/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top http://www.amazon.com/WII-CLASSIC-CONTROLLER-TO-USB-Nintendo/dp/B003711698/ref=pd_sim_pc_5 does anyone have any experience with connecting these kind of controllers to a pc?
Most of my fighting game experience is Street Fighter 4 on the PC, and the keyboard works really well. I move with WASD and fight with 123456 on the numpad. It emulates a fight stick setup fairly well. You don't need to spend money on a controller, especially since Skullgirls (from what I have seen and heard) doesn't use too crazy combos where you have to press right-down-left-down-right-up or whatever, which would wear out keyboard users more than someone with a stick.

The Classic Controller is actually pretty good for fighting games IMO. I mean as far as default pads go, I prefer it to the Xbox and PS3 pads.
it was my understanding that if you bought the game during beta you'd get all future DLC for free and access to the beta
Wasn't just the palette dlc?
Wasn't just the palette dlc?
No like it keeps getting repeated DLC will be free for awhile when its released.
What about democratic double? Or is she announcer pack only?
That's a voicepack that is going to be done down the line. Robo-Fortune started as a voicepack but they got enough funding to make her into a standalone character.
How do you rip the sprites or whatever from this? I want Squigly's walk animation.
How does one Peacock?
How does one Peacock?
Very carefully.
How does one Peacock?
You stand at one end of the screen and throw everything and if somebody gets close you use your throw and run away again. Very annoyingly.
You stand at one end of the screen and throw everything and if somebody gets close you use your throw and run away again. Very annoyingly.
Is there some way to chain your stuff? Rather than chaining I just feel like I'm spamming shit at them
You stand at one end of the screen and throw everything and if somebody gets close you use your throw and run away again. Very annoyingly.
I don't always do that!
Is there some way to chain your stuff? Rather than chaining I just feel like I'm spamming shit at them
nope throw out all of your georges, use BANG BANG BANG, throw out a boxcar george and an air george if they're trying to jump at you, and spam BANG BANG BANG and BANG.
How do you rip the sprites or whatever from this? I want Squigly's walk animation.
I tried this earlier but got stuck. You can extract the .gfs files using this quickbms script, which works great for a lot of the assets. But the character sprites are all in .art files and I don't think anyone has opened them yet. Your best bet is probably to just record a video with the least distracting background. You could even use multiple clips to eliminate the background completely. Edit: Or intercept the render calls.
Your best bet is probably just to record a video with the least distracting background.
Tutorial map works best for this.
How does one Peacock?
By mastering the art of Argus Agony.
What's the best way to play Squiggles? I'm not really sure what her strengths and weaknesses are.
hi i have a 8000 damage solo filia 4/5 meter combo on another solo character s.lp, s.lk, s.mk, s.hp, j.mp, j.mk xx j.hk, h hairball, gregor samson, s.mp, h hairball, gregor samson, trichobezoar. you can also jump in with j.hk if you want and also get rid of the second gregor samson string to only use 4 meters if you want. should work on all characters except for the trichobezoar ender. might have to replace it with just a regular s.hk in case the hitbox of the character doesn't reach the hitbox of the blockbuster. [editline]10th August 2013[/editline] you can also replace the second string with just trichobezoar if you want to. [editline]10th August 2013[/editline] also beginning string can be changed to s.lp, s.lk, s.mp, s.mk, s.hp if you corner somebody, but you can't do this midscreen since the hp won't land because you're too far away.
lobbies are finally out woo
Newest update causes the game to not recognize the madcatz fighsticks anymore (including my TE: round 2) Hope there will be a hotfix soon
Arghh, why didn't they test the update on a Madcatz stick? It's the most common type I would assume. [editline]11th August 2013[/editline] apparently they hotfixed it now
By the way, lobbies are currently really shit, you should probably stick to quick match for the most part. If there's more than 3 people in the lobby then you still have to wait for two people to finish their match before you can play (Like SF4) and spectate isn't out yet.
There was a 19 MB update. Info on this?

Guessing most of ye got bored already and/or thought it was too hard?
Guessing most of ye got bored already and/or thought it was too hard?
Nope. Just nothing to discuss.
Just bought this to try it out since people said it had a good tutorial for people new to fighting games. Holy shit I can't even complete the tutorials, I'm really awful at it. That one combo where you chain standing attacks into airborne once and then a Hairball and Gregor Samson at the end. Not saying I don't like it, it's just pretty hard to get into when all my experience in anything fighting-game related are some old DBZ games. This is defintely something I'm gonna try to be better at though.
At least Skullgirls is lenient and allows you to mash out the combo
The only tutorials I can't finish are those with 360 moves, I'm broke so I can't get a controller.
