Since it just released, it's probably best to wait at least an hour before causing a shit storm.

No you can play local two player with half a controller each!

Pre-ordered as soon as I saw it on Steam. ...hype.
Ah yes, it's starting to come to play, people will play online not knowing what the hell they're doing, and then I bring on the Fortune + Double team and wreck them!
Couple of questions though. How many buttons does this use? Is it like, 4 attack buttons and then 2 assist buttons like Marvel? Or 6 attack buttons? I've got a 6-button stick but I'm just curious. And how much are they planning on charging for the DLC characters? I think I heard they were free for a period of time somewhere but for some reason I also think I heard that was only for IndieGoGo backers.

About the DLC characters, to be honest I have no idea.

Everything your character needs can be done with a fightstick. Assists are combinations of 2 buttons, by the way.

However they did say that they will be free for a limited time and not just indiegogo/beta. Squigly is in the beta for debugging purposes.
Just bought it and have not receiver the beta. When does the beta for pre-orderers starts?
Just bought it and have not receiver the beta. When does the beta for pre-orderers starts?
They are currently having a problem and are working with Valve to fix it.
I have fixed the OP and started detailing DLC chars a bit
Nice to see a thread about this here. I have to get this.
Beta's working now, but you need to restart Steam first.
How come you can play the regular Skullgirls and then there's a beta client too?
I'm really tempted to buy this. Seems like a good fighting game especially for 15 dollars. I don't have any sort of fight stick thing though, but I do have a gamepad. That'll be good enough right? How accessible is it? I'm not exactly great at fighting games.

How the hell I do super jump? I tap "down" and "up" but nothing happens.

(Like in king of fighters) Also it's not a very high jump like in mvc3. It's similar to c.viper's high jump.

I accidentally bound the controls to weird shit, so now I can't go into the menu to change them haha oops
I accidentally bound the controls to weird shit, so now I can't go into the menu to change them haha oops
There should be a Skullgirls folders in your Documents folder. It contains all the save files. Delete the inputs save file.
There should be a Skullgirls folders in your Documents folder. It contains all the save files. Delete the inputs save file.
There, thanks dude. Can anybody help me with the controls? Like... What button does what? I've learned a few combos and stuff, but the controls menu doesn't tell me that X = light kick or whatever, it's kinda confusing because I've never really played fighting games outside of the arcade. Using a PS3 controller to emulate a 360 controller, by the way.
This goes out to anyone, if you constantly spam Peacock's gun, I hate you with a burning passion.

Grab is square and triangle.
