The rest of Peacock's attacks are balanced (for the most part) but when people spam that gun over and over again, it really pisses me off.
Bought it. Is there a picture anywhere that shows the default bindings for things like LK and JP? Because I have absolutely no idea what buttons to actually press.

Considering Squigly isn't even done yet, and Big Band coming before the others, it'll probably be a while before they say anything on that.
The Single player was restricted in the beta, due to the free beta keys that they're going to hand out. Which makes me a little sad, I was enjoying the SP.
Woah, I feel so great now. The training and my friends' advice really made me get a lot better this game.
Considering that I've never played fighting games much before, this is great. Didn't even know shit like poking and hell, even how blocking worked :V

Tried going into matchmaking and got my ass handed to me. It would have been a flawless victory if I didn't get a couple lucky shots in.
I should probably just stick to tutorials for now. Can't wait for the full game to release so I can play basic 1v1 computer matches. What's a good simple noob character? The ones i've tried all have weird gimmicks like Cerebellas focus on grabs and Ms. Fortunes head throwing thing.
Also, is there somewhere where I can find loops of the animations like the taunts and idle anywhere? There's so much avatar material in this game.

Bought a 4pack with my friends on Steam, this game is the tits.
Oh man, ever since the Steam pre-orders went live I haven't lost a single matchmaking game, and I'm not even good at the game
I'm kind of not even really trying anymore, just blocking attacks until I can bust out my level 3 blockbuster and finish them off before they chip away my last bit of health
It's really too bad they had to close down story mode, all these new players don't really have anywhere to practice before taking on matchmaking, it must be pretty overwhelming for them

You should try out Valentine, almost all of her attacks combo into each other really well and she doesn't really have any sort of major gimmick. I'd suggest turning down the time scale to 50% in training mode and just running through all of your character's moves and seeing which attacks combo into each other the best, it really helps. The most important step to mastering the genre is learning to really control your character instead of just button mashing.

Holy fuck they did shut down story mode. It was just up a few hours ago.
Why are they disabling story mode and arcade mode? Is there a free way to get the beta and they don't want people playing the beta for forever? Because I cannot practice like this outside of the tutorials seeing as far as I can tell you can't turn on AI in training mode. I mean I pre-ordered today so I could be able to play it and now I can't unless I go online and get fucked.

Lab Zero gave out free beta keys to their media partners to do giveaways, Marvelous AQL told them to close down the story mode to encourage people to buy the game. The guys over at Lab Zero are really unhappy with Marvelous AQL's decision, though.

Oh yeah, when you go up against Cerebella you're most likely dealing with a pretty good player. Those grabs are a bitch to deal with.
Here's hoping they make a seperate beta listing for those who bought then. It'd kinda suck if they removed all solo offline modes in beta because some people got in for free. At least wait to disable them until release day when we can actually play the full game.
