Spamming the trumpet is hilarious.

everybody get it now we can have a tourney or something
everybody get it now we can have a tourney or something
I tried regrouping the facepunch group twice. Some bastard replied "No. <box picture> Dumb x1"
well sucks to be him he's not invited.
What prize could we throw in? I could probably craft a custom solid papercraft figure or a plushie for the winner. I hope the winner will be patient though, because those bitches take a lot of time to make.
Why does there have to be a prize? I help organize a weekly casual tournament for the Oceanic region and only once has someone mentioned if there was going to be a prize or not.
Well, finally got around to picking this up since it's on sale on Steam. So far I've won at least half of the matches I've played online playing solely as Ms. Fortune.

It's also a free weekend for Skullgirls guess its time to spam everyone
I personally love using a Double Fortune combo, the game really is great and I agree with others saying that we should have a tourny.
I don't feel confident enough to do multiple characters, but I am thinking maybe a Squigly Fortune combo so I can Silver Chord them in then combo them down with Ms. Fortune.
Skullgirls free weekend. Show those freeloaders how it's done. Also on sale. [editline]15th November 2013[/editline]
I don't feel confident enough to do multiple characters, but I am thinking maybe a Squigly Fortune combo so I can Silver Chord them in then combo them down with Ms. Fortune.
I prefer having at least two characters. I really rely on assists. [editline]15th November 2013[/editline] Mother of god photobucket destroyed the op I am so sad right now
I bought Pre-Ordered the game 1 week before it came out and I never played the actual game, Just the Beta. Also for the Tournament I would be glad to give a 10 dollar steam game to the winner.
I'm not big on fighting games, so forgive me for not knowing, but how the fuck am I supposed to get out of combos, exactly? I jumped into an online match and none of the info that the tutorials gave me saved me from getting my ass kicked by some dude's ridiculously long combos.
What kind of controller were you using?
I'm not big on fighting games, so forgive me for not knowing, but how the fuck am I supposed to get out of combos, exactly? Combos are combos because you can't get out of them unless they mess up and drop the combo. You can't do anything in a combo because you're in "hit stun" which means you can't do anything. Each move applies more hit stun but it rapidly goes down so moves keep reapplying it. If he misses a move then hit stun will end up running out (You can see how fast it runs out by turning on hit stun in training mode) and you can retaliate I'll copy paste my FAQ that I posted on the [vomits in mouth] Steam discussion boards:
Q. I can't play this game because everyone is too good, wot do? A. Wipe the blood off your chin, pick yourself up and fight another day. Fighting games usually have small but dedicated communities. It won't be like DotA2, CoD or any big game where you can just instantly find lobbies and play with a whole bunch of people. Granted they're team games, FGs are centered around online or offline circles that play with each other. You're also never gonna get good if you don't play at all. I help organize a weekly casual tournament for the Oceanic community and a big thing I see is newbies never play at all despite us being ready and available to assist in learning the game. Q. Why doesn't anyone play SG anymore? I can't find anyone on quick match. A. Normally for fighting games you stick with a community that you spar with constantly or play offline. Playing pubs is doable yes but some more niche titles like SG you really need to find a circle to play with. Skullgirls isn't dead, instead of complaining on discussion boards, go find some people to play with. Find other beginners, add them on Steam, play the game. Did I mention you should actually play the game? Q. Okay fine, I'll play. Where do I start? A. The Skullheart forums has plenty of threads for various topics such as combos, match ups, general tips. Get involved and don't be afraid to ask. As for communities I don't know where you live so you probably need to find that one out on your own. Skullheart has a section about gatherings and stuff so you should start there. If you live in Oceania you can check out the Skullgirls Oceanic Steam group Learn a few combos, DO THE TUTORIAL, figure out the ins and outs of your team and I cannot stress it enough, play the dern game. Q. Combos are too long wtf? I'm tired of no skill dickheads infinite comboing. A. Skullgirls is all about long combos, if you don't like them you're playing the wrong game. Q. x is so OP, nerf it. A. No, just because you keep getting swatted out of the air by Parasoul as Painwheel it doesn't mean Parasoul is OP. Q. Baiting people into bursting out of IPS is cheating A. Not it isn't, it's called burst baiting, the infinite combo prevention system isn't there as a safety net for newbies.
It's mostly to address the salty noobs over there but the answers are still relevant.
I'm using a 360 controller, it's the only one I have.
Oh thank god you ain't using a keyboard. But yeah block and wait for a opening like littlebabyman said

Do the devs ever intend to add more people to the roster? Are there more characters I don't see? All I see are Squiggly, Cerabella, the nurse, Peacock, Painwheel, Vilia, etc. everyone you start with.

After Big Band there's Eliza, Robo-Fortune, and Beowulf on the chopping block. All of these characters were funded via the indiegogo campaign, they may return to crowdfunding once these characters are done if they can't afford to undergo work on more characters. Small rosters aren't necessarily bad, it means that each of them needs to be diverse and fleshed out, compare to some games with giant rosters full of characters that no one bothers with. Plus with the team size variance and user-defined assists, there's a ton of depth to be had with the 9 characters we have now.

It just seemed like they had more planned considering the blanks of the character selection section.
So, yeah, I gave a copy of Skullgirls to a friend.
Gonna buy myself this for an early b-day present. Thanks for answering my questions. Really enjoying the game. Beat Marie as Peacock already. :D

http://store.steampowered.com/app/245174/ Also this is a nice tutorial for people just starting out, it's mainly about parasoul but it teaches general basics too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-QGQyL7qjQ&list=PL0034C089F9F75403&index=1
Completed story with normal with every char and soon arcade with normal with every char. Still dunno if the game is worth 9,35€ because there really isn't anyone to play with.

I threw a small party some time ago and we spent the entire evening drinking and playing divekick/skullgirls, it was hilarious [editline]15th November 2013[/editline] Drunk divekick is best divekick

There's an entire thread of people here to play with :v: Many of them willing to help you learn too.
Shame on you for not going to versus and getting your ass handed to you by a bunch of infinite combo Double's.
