Kinda fair since it was like their first time playing it and most of them never played fighting games before :v:

Speaking of double, anyone know of a spriterip that has the catellites?
The day that I can step into the Lobby Room with 20 lobbies, and completely destroy 25% of those lobbies has arrived.
Watch out for me guys. I'm coming for you.
Correction: My friend decided to be really nice and buy me Skullgirls! :D
I'm still waiting for my fightstick because I refuse to play it with a keyboard and my controller is terrible.

Yes it's connected to the other controller like a pair of twins plugged into its mother.
Not anymore
I enjoy playing with the Keyboard, only thing i am not able to pull off is full 360.
You seem mad about me and my homies republican double
Not really. I don't mind getting beaten.
I'am pretty sure by now I forgot my Filia 10-20 hit combo.
May I? Here's a little more patch notes for the main build
Skullgirls Patch Notes 11-16
16 NOVEMBER - MIKEZ
Hello, ye free-weekenders!
If you are wondering why you can't get Squigly, I was told that, on Steam, you are not allowed to buy DLC for games you do not own...and even though she's free, it's still technically "buying" her. Sorry. :^(
Skullgirls does get fixes and updates (and weird patch notes) every few days, though, so if you enjoy my terrible sense of humor, consider kicking down the discounted dough.
Reminder
Today at 6PM PST is the Skullgirls Fan Expo, in Long Beach CA.
It'll be streamed on EightySixed (twitch.tv/eightysixed) provided the internet is cooperative, so be sure and watch.
And if you live here, SHOW UP. I'll be there to pass my cold on to everyone...
General
- POSSIBLE fix for menus wigging out with vjoy and other instances. If you had problems like the main menu constantly scrolling up, see if this helps.
If it does, say so in the comments! If it doesn't...well...say that too. :^)
- Add Undizzy bar. It's directly below your lifebars. Special thanks to Brady, our wonderful UI guy. You've heard of a can-do attitude?
Well he's got an already-done attitude! He answered "How hard would it be to add a stun bar?" with "I just added one." Enjoy.
- Cerebella's Merry Gorilla uses the new corner thing I figured out for Big Band's A-Train to push herself a bit out of the corner so the opponent is visible.
It's aesthetic only, she still slams them up against the wall. I tried this on Silver Chord and Buer Reaper and it looked like poop, though I may try it on Reaper again later.
And for the endless beta too.

16 NOVEMBER - MIKEZ
If yer 'ere for the free weekend, I recommend reading the patch notes for the Real Game.
Reminder
-cut out to save a little space-
General
- POSSIBLE fix for menus wigging out with vjoy and other instances.
- Add Undizzy bar. It's directly below your lifebars. Special thanks to Brady, our wonderful UI guy. He's a peach.
- Cerebella's Merry Gorilla now leaves the opponent visible in corners during the throw part. It's aesthetic only, she still slams them up against the wall.
Big Band
- Fix cr.HP and cymbals causing wrong stun when hitting 2 characters simultaneously.
- Cymbals now cause red bounce instead of allowing immediate tech.
- Add unfinished 2nd super. QCT+KK / 236KK. Press buttons afterwards. It doesn't hit, it just looks pretty...unfinished, remember?
- New j.MK and s.MK frames.
- New j.MK frames, 2nd part starts up 4f faster, tweaked knockback on 1st part.
- Increase HK A-Train's distance a bit.
- A-Train is NO LONGER selectable as an assist. This caused memory problems on console, and we ain't doin' that much of a PC-master-race difference.
- s.MP art update, look at the beautiful trumpet! Still just the 3 notes, it will not have extra notes until I get sounds for them.
- Improve tag-out a bit.
I really wish this shitty generic gamepad of mine let me use my specials without having to jerk off in a corner and mash buttons. :v:

Try using keyboard with this kind of keybindings
[t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/74813117/keyboard.png[/t]
The attacks are in keypad to prevent ghosting
You can also bind the movement to anywhere you want on the keyboard and/or the attacks on keypad lower mainly because sometimes I tend to hit numlock accidentally when trying to press LK
[sp]something probably ain't right on those attacks[/sp]

I use arrow Keys and F, G, H as Punches, V, B, N as kicks
Also, Space as grapple macro

I should really do that but I've become accustomed to using my right hand for movement and left hand for attacks. My only actual gripes with that sort of setup is that my keyboard sometimes doesn't register all of the inputs (won't be a problem once I get my mechanical keyboard in a week or so) and that the grab input is a bit wonky to do with my pinky+ring fingers (so I changed one of my macros to the grab input so I can do it with my index finger).
Is it weird to become good at the more-complex input real-estate with my non-dominant hand? You'd figure that, being right-handed, I should be better with my right hand at doing dexterous motions but I'm flat out worse than I was when I first started when I tried switching it up.

Thanks, but what about the macros? I don't really understand them. How does the positioning work?
You can set the macros to a certain button combination, I'm not sure how much you can do but most people set them as the assist or tag inputs.
I set them to the assist input but I play on a stick.
When binding the keys suggested in your picture, it doesn't seem to let me use KP 5 at all for anything. Why's that?
[editline]16th November 2013[/editline]
Thanks.
There's probably something wrong with your KP 5. Also check if numlock is on/off.
If that doesn't work, try using this:

Don't worry. I got it now. It was just me being dumb. :v:

Finally getting the hang of macros, but why is there a combo you can use for macros and also a keybind area for them?
help, how do i do this.
[t]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/505822646429474234/6520C190C5122225D177C93770C5981B5AF75F00/[/t]
c. means Crouching
j. means Jumping
and you need to to press Light Kick Crouching and then quickly Medium Kick Crouching when opponend dosen't block
?
tap c.lk then c.mk?
or in other words "do it really fast"
but in a real game you should let c.mk complete its animation because you use it to hit confirm
which means to confirm if they block the move or not. If it's blocked then you won't lose anything and it goes back to neutral game (Due to the move being safe on block for the most part)
if it does hit you use it to start a combo. If you start with a heavy attack and they block it, you're vulnerable and they can punish you. That's why hit confirms exist, so you can gauge and react to see if you can punish or not safely.
Those tutorials are the game's hardest part.
Those tutorials are the game's hardest part.
They're all the fundamentals for getting good at the same. You probably don't have to do all of them to know how to play the game at the bare basic level but it's recommended that you finish all of them at one point or another because it covers the core things. Doesn't tell you everything but it tells you enough.
[editline]17th November 2013[/editline]
The biggest mistakes I see newbies do is unsafe moves. Putting out things that can easily be punished and don't really have any reason behind them besides gambling the fact that they might not be blocking which is unlikely because holding back should be your default "stance".
Most common offenders are Filia's Hairball or any Super in the game.
Anyway, why are there two bindings - the combo bindings for macro and the other bindings? Can I just press that key and it goes? Or how does that work?

The rare times I use a keyboard for fighting games I use a hitbox setup (A S D SPACE, left down right jump, with numpad for buttons)
Anyway, why are there two bindings - the combo bindings for macro and the other bindings? Can I just press that key and it goes? Or how does that work?
macros are for when you're too lazy to press 2 buttons, so instead you just push 1 button to make it happen aka grabbing or tag/assists.
[editline]16th November 2013[/editline]
whenever i use a keyboard i use u i o for punches and j k l for kicks with a s d and spacebar for movement because it's pretty close to how close the buttons are to the joystick on a stick.
but then again i have a qanba q4 and q1.
I just hate squigly's daisy pusher because I'm used to hit confirming supers :v:
It seems whenever I press my F or V key, which are my macro keys by default, my macros don't work.
