Whenever I play against my friend who exclusively plays Peacock, he always starts with Poke+Argus since it's unbreakable. Of course, since I play Ms. Fortune/Squigly, I usually hop up and head spike or back up and Tremolo.

It's great fun, but it does have the standard learning curve of Fighting games. If you are bad at it, I don't recommend hopping online until you get some good experience playing against some friends.
Seems like there's a huge misconception about FGs here.
It takes quite awhile to become decent at them. You don't just pick a FG up and be good. You need to put in the time to learn mechanics and you won't get away with spamming fireballs against a decent player.

That's the problem, at least for me I never find a newbie like me at my skill level, only dudes at 500 wins and above

It's just a REALLY well made fighting game. Not much else to it aside from generally nice designs and great art.

If you're bad at fighting games, you'll probably be bad at this one too. It has an in depth tutorial system, but the best way to get better is by playing against people.

This is the main reason why I don't play this game as much as I want to. I get stomped in versus.
What happened to them putting arcade mode back in? It's still locked off for me.

I went online after doing every tutorial (felt good about myself after doing it)
I got my ass whipped so hard that they stun locked me in a combo forever
i feel so awful about this because i cant get the little quarter circle for squiggly's everything to work
and i cant find any decent lists for the combos she can do
and every time i try to practice i end up against someone who just gets like an 80+ chain combo on me and i die instantly :I
Just bought this, I haven't played a fighting game in a while. This should be fun.
