So my current strategy for right now is. Play arcade mode on sleepwalk. Mash buttons until I can figure out an actual strategy to use. Jump into training and try to understand how to do those impossible airchains.
all you need is a handful of combos. Depends on who you play but for Valentine a basic one is cr.lp cr lk cr.mp cr.mk cr.hp (jump) s.hk
pretty easy combo, just go down the button grid left to right.
I can't believe I died on sleepwalk difficulty.
I am so sorry for your loss
Just playing arcade mode I can understand why people hate peacock.
While I have to give that Valentine player mad props, that's one of the reasons why I kind of dislike this game.
The damn combos go on for far too long.
comparatively speaking, i'd say the combos in this game seem kind of short. the only fighting game i can think of without ridiculous combos is street fighter. blazblue/guilty gear, mortal kombat/injustice, persona 4 arena, etc all tend towards high-lethality combos. skullgirls is the same way.
and hey at least it's not fucking marvel 3, AKA "hope you don't get hit ever because you WILL die"

pew pew pew
You can get some really long combos in SF4 but the damage scaling makes it not even worth it.
also i don't think arcade mode is particularly useful training. fighting against any kind of bots really isn't going to teach you anything except maybe give you a chance to practice your combos.
i would know. since i own most of my fighting games on Xbox and don't have Live, i have to settle for bots when my rl friends aren't free and i still suck incredibly at everything.

Even if it's not that much, it's better than training.

It's better training than having a Valentine get you down to half health with one combo.
Then do that combo again.
I fucking love Peacock. Her teleport is great, and so is the flying bomb. Fuck the gun, I'm going balls deep in melee with her.

Let's not forget her sack grab. Most satisfying grab ever.

My friends have resorted to yelling GET IN THE BAG, FAG every time someone does Peacock's grab, followed by Argus. It's terribly annoying and does a good chunk of damage.
Oh god, I just met a Parasoul in Versus and she just stunlocked me, while I couldn't do jack shit.

I'm not sure if the IPS changes were implemented in that video, but prior to the proposed IPS changes, combos in Skullgirls would last forever. That's why competitive matches were kind of boring as they were just one dude comboing another for hours until they died.

Somebody knows my pain.
When im clicking a tab like Options, Versus etc , im unable to scroll up or down. Does anyone else has this problem ?

oh god shit i didnt realise that move added sunglasses to the dragon thing amazing character
I got from utterly shit to ok player overnight, neat. I even did a ~whole combo~ online
I decided to try using my joystick + keyboard instead of my 360 controller
Using the stick itself is kinda tough but omg using the hat switch for a stick was pretty awesome plus I can finally pull combos out of my ass
It appears that the tombstone super crashes peoples games- I've seen at least two people complain, one here and one on Twitter. It's a part of the beta, but still.
I really need to get this game- I'll probably get it within the next few days.
A great way to help get into fighting games is to have a buddy of equal skill play with you, that way you can both get experienced and be on an equal playing field. Be warned as the saltiness that may occur can be devastating after prolonged periods of play.
Playing against Squigly I crashed too. Don't play against Squigly, she is a tough opponent.
Is there anyway I can bind moves to Ins-Home-PgUp Del-End-PgDn? The ingame key binder doesn't let me bind to Del-End-PgDn

Yeah I think it has something to do with the Blockbuster where she sticks you in a coffin. I just crashed fighting a Squigly.
Oh yeah, how to play with your friends consistently.
Both of you should set your region for matchmaking to fucking africa or something, and set your zone to "only me." Then go over skype or something and say when you've found a partner. Works WAY better if your friend lives in the same state or province as you.

Oh yeah, and fuck Double. No, she's not hard to fight against or anything, she's just so hideous looking that I have a hard time fighting. It's the worst.

Just crashed as soon as someone swapped out to her, havent been crashed at all during any moves, just when swapping.
I think they patched the Squigly issue, there was a 5.7mb update just now.
