hemwick charnel lane or fordbidden woods first? im finally getting good at this game, beat vicar amelia and blood starved beast on my first try (albeit with the help of an npc phantom for amelia) but im not totally sure where i should go next i accidentally entered the DLC and got instafucked by an enemy hunter, so i don't really think thats the right way to go at my level

Hemwick first. It's easier and there's stuff you'll want there.

Hemwick for the Caryll Rune workshop. Optional area but that workshop is essential for small upgrades here and there.

also, how do i access the small door in the oedon chapel?

You may want to postpone the Forbidden Woods as long as possible

out of curiosity, where should i go after i kill the boss of hemwick lane? i killed paarl but i didnt get to explore his full area, can i go back if i get kidnapped again?

Hard to describe. It's before you go out into the street Hemwick lane is a dead end, the next stop is to go back to the plaza with all the church giants roaming around near cathedral ward and head down a side path where you should run into Alfred, then carry on down more stairs (the ability to get past this area is unlocked by defeating Amelia)

If you missed it, I don't think you can go back until the story brings you back there later

i did miss it. unless i can get snatched away again, the only area im aware of is the forbidden woods and thanks for answering all my dumbass questions, guys

I always get lost in the Forbidden Woods every time I play it, no matter how times I've gone through it with the number of characters I have.

as a last resort, is there something i can do to interact with the giant lovecraftian pinecone head in the circular room past the electric mace hunter? i know i can go to the DLC using the one on the chapel, but i got this weird stone that looks like their heads and im wondering if it lets me interact with it when it grabs me

Why am I being summoned to NG+ against [sp]The Orphan[/sp]?! I'm 92 on NG yet every enemy before the boss is KO'ing me in one hit! All I need is one successful fight against it and I should be set on my one.

I've been getting summoned non-stop into NG+ these past few days myself.

If you run past them and don't look back you can usually avoid being frenzied, and if you don't avoid it it probably won't kill you.
