Dark Souls + Demon's Souls + Bloodborne Megathread VII. Now Only Embers Remain

The grey lands were pretty much the inbetween, essentially a Purgatory of sorts, hardly connected to either Light or Dark. Just kinda there, consistently.
You know after listening Hail The Nightmare, i sort of wish a piece of soundtrack that plays in a DS3 area, not like this but that gives some feels into it, hearing the Dancer's theme gives me hope.

Man,[sp]Lady Maria's[/sp]soundtrack was simply great, just behind[sp]Ebrietas's[/sp]theme in being the best track.
Hey guys, few quick questions:
Does DS 1 have a conclusive story?
Any of you use keyboard+mouse? Is it really that bad?

I play with keyboard and mouse. It doesn't feel that bad as long you use DSMfix of course.

DS1 has its own story, so to speak. There is a definitive ending, but nothing is set in stone (other than what you already know)
Keyboard + mouse is ABYSMAL unless you use DSMfix
So I beat Bloodborne again on a new character heading to NG+. Will probably use him to complete the Chalice Dungeons. I think 25 VIT, and END with 30 STR and 27 Arcane is mediocre unless I have some good rallying potential.
For the sake of my Bloodborne story, I'm making another character to work off my original hunter, but this time on a Skill build. What are the good "Backstory Stats"(from the character creation screen) for having good Skill, END, and VIT to keep hacking away and what is a good NG build for weapons like the Chikage, the Rakuyo, and the Stake Driver?

Just get a generic gamepad or something don't struggle with this shit. It's better, but it still isn't great.

I've finally started a second run of DS1, moving away from my horrendously managed quality build my first run used (taking out Gwyn with a +11 Longsword and a shitload of chip damage because I can't level for shit isn't fun). Trying my hand at a dex build, and so far just being able to swing fast things is giving me a good time.
Just bought DS2, SOTFS edition
It'll be my first time playing 2, I'm thinking it would be fun to play a magic build
Is [sp]Orphan of Kos[/sp] the last boss of the dlc? can't really find any new locations.
You didn't actually finish the DLC if I understand what you're saying or maybe you just didn't mention it. Attack the black plume of smoke coming out from the corpse.
I must be the only one in the universe who has no problems using KBM without the mouse fix
like without the mouse fix, smaller mouse movements give you more responsive camera motions so my mouse barely leaves the middle of my mousepad at all when I play
Between DS1 and 2, which one would be preferred for someone who barely touched the Souls series and wants to play one before firing up DS3 in the near future?
Or should I just wait for DS3 to start from there?
I'd suggest you play 1, if you intend to play 3. It'll be easier to get familiar with the series.

I'd say play DS1 since it'd be more familiar to go from that to 3 than 2 would be.
dark souls 2 is a shitty dark souls fanfic p much
ds1 is also a lot better IMO, its a better game in just about every aspect, but i'd bet if you play through 1 it'll definitely be worth your time to play 2

Ya I did that. Didn't really get what happened.
and then play bloodborne this might honestly be my new favorite souls game holy shit its good
Thanks a lot.
I'll try my best not to die a lot.

Or man, I wish Bloodborne was on PC. I love the idea behind the trick weapons and everything about the game visually is eye candy. Tried it out at a friend's house and the little I played would make me buy the port day one, if it ever comes out.
I've never played Bloodborne myself, but I've watched a lot of Lets Plays and such, and I'm curious- how late can you leave it to fight the Cleric Beast? I mean, can you still go and fight it even when [sp]the blood moon manifests?[/sp] I've seen videos of people fighting it [sp]after Vicar Amelia, once the night has descended proper, but not after Rom.[/sp] Is that possible?

I've never heard of it ever expiring. Even after you kill it, nothing happens at the lamp like what happens at tomb oedon and grand cathedral. Everyone just fights it immediately because it's there and it gives you a lot of blood echoes you can use to level up for the gascoine fight
Really wish Demon's Souls was accessible on PS4. Or better yet, not have some shitty HDCP lock prevent me from recording via HDMI on the PS3. It's bad enough I would have to pull out an entirely different console just to play one game, but then I would have to entirely change my recording set up too.
i legit have no idea how to beat [sp]gehrman. hes absolutely destroying me[/sp]

1 because 2 is basically, "Hey, remember Dark Souls 1?"

[sp]He's pretty easy to parry if you're having trouble dodging his attacks.[/sp]
holy shit, i did it.
now WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON WHAT IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW
Played Bloodborne for the first time today.
T'was amazing.
And it was fun to see how my experience with DS1&2 carried over as that werewolf from the beginning got a serious serving of whoop-ass.

The Orphan returned to the sea, the origin of the kin? The moon + the sea go hand in hand, you know tides and all that.

Hunter's axe halberd mode charged R2 has a knockdown effect on man-sized enemies and hyper armor; you just need to time it correctly and it'll wreck anything since it got me to the last boss in pthumeru ihyll.
Is the Saw Cleaver a good Skill weapon for a Skill/STR build? I know it's beginning scale for Skill is E, but is it a good substitute for better skill weapons like the Rakuyo and the Chikage?
