chew out his elbows and kneecaps bro it'll literally take him down a notch
Am I the only one laughing my ass off when that horse start talking to his shiny sword and stand on his hind legs on 2nd phase?
Should I kill the undead merchant in the Undead Burg just to gain the Uchigatana? I fear I won't be able to repair my weapon for a while if I do so (On a side note, you know what sucks more than a repair mechanic in a RPG? Forcing you to repair your weapon at hidden NPCs between enemy packs)
What? The merchant doesn't repair your weapon, the blacksmith does.
He sells some kind of powder to do the trick and, at the point I'm in the game and given my knowledge of it, it looks like the ONLY way to repair my weapons should they break
He sells some kind of powder to do the trick and, at the point I'm in the game and given my knowledge of it, it looks like the ONLY way to repair my weapons should they break
Oh, then yeah. You can buy the powder from him, but there's blacksmiths that can repair your weapon. One of them is a bit further on where you are, and the other is (slight spoiler) [sp]in a cage underneath firelink shrine, down the elevator, before all the enemies[/sp]
He sells some kind of powder to do the trick and, at the point I'm in the game and given my knowledge of it, it looks like the ONLY way to repair my weapons should they break
unless you're going out of your way to smack every wall you pass with your weapon or are farming enemies for very extended periods for some reason you shouldn't have to worry about your weapons breaking for a long time
Also Andre sells a box so you can repair your stuff at Bonfires, Powder is pretty much for extended PvP sessions with weapons that have specials that burn through durability.
Playing through Dark Souls 1, one last time. What build should I go for? I'll be PvPing in Oolacile with some friends and am looking for something fun, good, but not too dickish.
Holy shit Micolash at NG++ and beyond becomes the worst fight ever. I like the atmosphere of this boss but i'm surprised Fromsoft don't touch or fix any bosses, that guy has the most broken Al ever

I like the atmosphere of this boss but i'm surprised Fromsoft don't touch or fix any bosses, that guy has the most broken Al ever
The first time you meet Micolash on your normal playthrough the boss is genuinely entertaining due to Micolash being a large ham and the whole fight being a sudden and unexpected gameplay change. On following playthroughs and on NG+, however, Micolash really starts to overstay his welcome because: 1) He doesn't go where you'd like him to, resulting in an unnerving, luck-based game of tag that can go on for several minutes 2) The moment you make some small distance between you and him, he casts A Call Beyond, one-shooting you. The same is true if you don't fall right on top of his head when you begin the second phase of the fight

I'm starting to think that I should start over my Dark Souls character and that a pure dexterity or strenght build will be a much safer bet, but I'm not sure
I'm starting to think that I should start over my Dark Souls character and that a pure dexterity or strenght build will be a much safer bet, but I'm not sure
if you can still salvage a quality build I'd say go with that.
Am I the only one laughing my ass off when that horse start talking to his shiny sword and stand on his hind legs on 2nd phase?
I shat my pants because of what the sword is to all fromsoft games and I was on NG+
After discovering that a parry mechanic exists and getting its flow right and realizing that sometimes moving around is enough to dodge an enemy attack instead of rolling, my Dark Souls experience has become much better and I even defeated the Bell Gargoyles easily Care to tell me how the fuck I'm supposed to reach Bligtown?
DSfix 2.4 we should probably update the OP because it still links to version 2.2
Updated.

It's my birthday today and what better way to celebrate than to start a whole new co-op playthrough with my BF in Dark Souls. :3 [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/362903713123219869/66331FA8C5FEFE1E30C058300E0BB740B52865CD/[/t] Of course replaying this game reminded me us how horrendously buggy this game is. Crashes when viewing summon names, getting stuck at bonfires after reverse hollowing, framerate fluctuating between 30 and 60 fps when using the Steam overlay... Not to mention getting invaded by players who are clearly using cheat engine to give themselves lategame armor and weapons and then invading at low levels. :T

The summon name crashes can also be avoided by using pvp watchdog. Never had the steam overlay problem myself, although to be fair i very rarely use it.

Oh man, i was testing some stuff such killing off NPCs etc on a new character and hitting the first time the Oedon Chapel Dweller was heart breaking. He begged and gave me a pebble, goddamn it.
dweller is the best character in the entire game only person who is just straight up nice
