shit i just realized i need to download a new ds3 to xbox controler program to play dark souls on my new computer, anyone got a link to a good one?
I'm super bored so someone pick DS, DS2 or BB and give me a random build for it or something to cosplay as
For my next character in BB, I'm thinking of maybe going to pure skill to make it a completely new experience since all the weapons I use have wide reach so I figure something like a rifle spear or blades of mercy will make fighting amygdala and Paarl way different. The only problem is that the BoM can only be obtained in late game so NG+ will be the definitive experience for using all the new loot and TOH weapons. I really wish BB saved info so you wouldn't have to unlock everything again, like how Mass Effect let you use a bonus type of weapon if you previously completed the game
I'm super bored so someone pick DS, DS2 or BB and give me a random build for it or something to cosplay as
I was planning to go threaded cane and making my character look like Iris Heart from Hyperdimension Neptunia. Maybe pick the rifle spear and play as Green Heart
BoM can be gotten right at the start of the game if you kill Eileen.

[sp]How do you make Djura friendly? On my first playthrough he eventually would let me talk to him. On this playthrough he's barely letting me up the ladder.[/sp]

Boy this DS2 Indiana Jones build is a pain in the ass. Been two hours and i haven't even gotten thr Old Whip to drop :v:
Defeat Darkbeast Paarl and then approach him from behind, don't come up to him from the front where he can see you.
you don't even have to defeat paarl. just walk into the boss arena and get out. spawn at the church of the good chalice and come up to him that way. if you've aggroed him I'm not sure if he can turn friendly again though. but it's worth a try.

I didn't kill Paarl though, but I killed Djura already. Good to know for later playthroughs.
Forgot to mention it in my earlier post about something I encountered. In the Undead Parish church, there is an altar guarded by a huge dude in black armor. I remember fighting him in my first time playing but this time I just ran across the hall, triggered him but kept going towards the bonfire near the Astora blacksmith. I took a detour to talk with the onion head knight (sorry if I don't recall their names...) sitting and sighing about the closed gate and I acquired souls. I wondered if he gave them but I figured later that something happened to the huge knight because he vanished. It was 800 souls iirc. Did he kill himself? Or is it a known bug? I'm curious because I was ready to fight him but he was no where to be found so I just picked up the Fire Keeper Soul and resumed.

Perhaps his tracking got fucked up and he walked off the wooden bridge just outside the church or something? I've collected souls from random deaths across the maps plenty of times. I never got the church knight to do it though. Kinda impressive.
That's what I did, he still attacked me. I didn't kill Paarl though, but I killed Djura already. Good to know for later playthroughs.
The only thing Djura gives you by being nice to him (that you can't get if you kill him) is a gesture. Not worth it, really.

Always assumed it had to be killed. You might as well though since you're already there. Staying on the ladder and not actually stepping up on the roof is fine, though.

The Church of the Good Chalice trick wouldn't work if he stayed hostile.

I always made sure to never step on the platform out of fear that he would permanently stay hostile. Meanwhile [vid]https://vt.tumblr.com/tumblr_o0m1tmChqP1urexxp.mp4[/vid]
Meanwhile i just died to that thing because you literally can't escape the fire anywhere or fast enough if you're too slow to get under it. Pretty bullshit, i tell you.

Since Dark Souls III is coming out the 12nd of April, I'm wondering if I should pay for Playstation Plus and give Bloodborne a final go with multiplayer and maybe, MAYBE the calice dungeons too before everyone and their mamas move to the new game
Disclaimer: This is a bit souls unrelated Since i can't play Bloodborne i brought Lords of the Fallen this last sale, who's obviously based on the Souls core gameplay. Thing is, i'm overhustling my jimmies with the fact that the game feels like fighting Smelter Demon inside Blighttown over and over, it's just constant bullshit... Anyone ever tried this and felt the same? I hope it's me but everytime my character refuses to run with full stamina, i just want to throw the controller at the screen... So many constantly poorly made annoying things
I beat Lord of the Fallen 3 times (at 20 fps no less). It's okay. Sprinting is fucked in that game. The thing about the game is i-frames on rolls and parry windows are HUGE, much more lenient than Dark Souls. For regular enemies you just want to block or parry their attacks and then retaliate or riposte where appropriate. For slower enemies when they attack you should roll into them to end up behind them for a backstab. Finally, fighting bosses is all about avoiding their attacks until they become vulnerable and battering them for a few seconds. I found LotF is much better if you use all light armour and avoid damage while using whatever weapon you like best. [editline]8th January 2016[/editline] For more information on sprinting. From what I remember you have to hold the sprint button for a full second before he actually takes off and he will delay the sprint longer if you have full stamina. Why, I don't know but I just gave up on sprinting after a while.
I gave up on LotF after the second boss tbh.

I alredy ended up holding the button for 8 seconds and it forces me to roll when i release it, or even jump after walking without the damn sprint... Well, i'm on a maze right now, a bloody hellish place, and i've lost my patiance 100%. My greatsword (from the first boss) couldn't do shit anymore and i was pissed off. Gladly i found an greataxe that is way powerfull and another heavy set ("the living legend" i believe). So now i just spam heavy atacks on everyone's shields without giving a fuck. It's working.
The whole thing is not memorable but i sort of enjoy some music tracks and animations. Game isn't a trainwreck but it's just average for me.
It was a good first attempt from a western developer at mimicking the style of the Souls games without just being a ripoff. The fact that they added charged attacks before From did shows they were trying to do their own thing.
I don't know they released Scholars of the First Sins like this, it's worse than vanilla DK2 in a lot of respects. The biggest of which is the enemy placement changes. Why
Some of the changes are much better, some are awful.
I'm thinking about making my Bloodborne character like an ascendant member of the Choir, with a very pale skin, black pupils and scarce hair I'll see if the concept looks good in practice
I started talking about LOTF so i could not remember about DS2... God...
I don't know they released Scholars of the First Sins like this, it's worse than vanilla DK2 in a lot of respects. The re-release of the game with more crap and the removed graphics... The price it costs... I was so hyped for DS2 when it came out... I'm gonna play Crawling in my Skin and crawl on my bed so i can cry for the rest of the day rehashing the memories from it... Thanks plunger435...
