Dark Souls + Demon's Souls + Bloodborne Megathread VII. Now Only Embers Remain

I only found out a few weeks ago that you can open the door leading toward Priscilla. Every time I've ever gone through that area i thought the legit way to get to her was to do the jump attack on the dragon butt and let it do that awkward standing up thing. Even after 550+ hours I'm finding new things.
Killing Priscilla? What is this crazy talk I am hearing? Next thing you are telling me you like killing Sif.

Darkbeast Paarl aka "Mad as Fuck Wank-Demon"
Apparently Demon's Soul is ten bucks on the Playstation Store
I wonder ...
It's a shame he was a 'sad as fuck piss-demon' because he wasn't very hard...
Now whoever designed Blood-starved Beast can go fuck themselves.

???????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Blood-starved Beast is easy, you can avoid almost all of his attacks just by staying behind him the whole time. Paarl, on the other hand, swipes and stomps so much I always have a hard time avoiding everything, not to mention a majority of my attacks always miss him because his twiggy limbs are so damn skinny I just keep hitting nothing but air.
I'm talking about chalice dungeon Paarl, though. Regular Paarl is pretty easy, I'll admit.
any boss who has big lunges forward is easy because all you need to do is circle them and attack up their ass every time they lunge
Paarl may be easy, but he's still one of my favorite bosses cuz he looks cool as hell. It's kinda similar to the Gaping Dragon. Looks great and has great music.
First time I fought Paarl I had no idea what was going on, there was so much flailing and electricity and gangly limbs flying around, and my framerate seemed to average about 10. I dunno how I beat him really.

Yeah, I was talking vanilla Paarl since he constantly falls over.
I just have the hardest time again Blood-starved Beast for whatever reason. I always panic and do dumb shit then get scooped for the slow-poison death chompies. I guess I'll just try spanking its rear the next time I have to fight one.
Soooooo
I need help with the bloodletting beast in Pthumeru Ihyll. This guy's a monster.

How about "gnash"? Named after what he's making me do to my teeth.
Updating though, give me a minute.

Does trying to coop via the Short Ritual Chalice not work with passwords? It says it's looking for a Beckoning Bell with matching password, but I don't seem to be getting anything.

I managed to earlier today. Have you got the right password and such? No capitals, just lower-case: gnash

Yup. Guess this isn't going to work out. Unless you have Worldwide disabled or something.

I've got worldwide enabled. What else could it be? Is your system version 3.15 as well?

Mine is 3.11 but I don't think that would matter since I've been playing with other people online all day today. Besides the PS4 doesn't say there's an system update available.

Mine updated when I turned it on just now. Perhaps go into the chalice itself and ring the bell.

Well, for me it's quick. I usually die in about 5 seconds.

Unlike Dark Souls, Demon's Soul has quite a bit of straight up unfair bullshit moments
It's still a good game so go for it

That and apparently healing is done by looting herbs from enemies and, unlinke in Bloodborne, looting an herb with enough potency to restore a fair amount of health is a matter of luck
I don't know.

Farming healing items is pretty easy though, enemies always have the same loot so if you just go to an area with a lot of weak enemies that drop good grass (like 1-3 or 1-4) it's easy as all hell to cap those.

Less that it's luck, more that it's about progression. Later game areas have better healing items.
Also, once I finish eating this sandwich I might stream a bit of Dark Souls. Been having an itch to play it, may as well share it. Any build ideas? Nothing crazy, just looking to go back and have some fun with it for a while.
shieldless polearm run
witches of hemwick might be the easiest bossfight in the entire game, seriously. i didnt even sprint at all this second time i do them and was hit once, by one of the adds. for like 5% of my hp too.
first time i did them on my other character it was tense but i one-shotted them then as well.

Start the fight, BHM out, spend all of your insight and come back. The adds won't even spawn then. Earlier game they can be a threat since their grab can kill you outright, but even then they aren't a hugely difficult boss.
