Dark Souls + Demon's Souls + Bloodborne Megathread VII. Now Only Embers Remain

I found that after my first try, Father Gascoigne to be probably the easiest boss just from how hard he can be cheesed. First form, just get him stuck on the tombstones between you him and hit him with long ranged attacks like transformed hunter's axe, saw spear or threaded cane. When he transforms his weapon, he's super easy to parry. I get him to about 25% before he beast modes then you music box and backstab. Done deal.
I know it's not impressive to hear about it since he is the first mandatory boss, but I know that he was a real hurdle for new players (like on my first file, yikes)
Getting ready to boot it up, www.twitch.tv/dogmachines if you wanna watch.
Does trying to coop via the Short Ritual Chalice not work with passwords? It says it's looking for a Beckoning Bell with matching password, but I don't seem to be getting anything.
A little late, but password matching with the short ritual chalice has never ever worked for me. I found this thread on reddit where somebody supposedly found a way to make it work, but I haven't tested it out myself because it's kind of a huge hassle and I don't really want to bother with it.

I remember there was Forlorn in the middle of this clusterfuck
I plan on doing a complete Arcane build in Bloodborne, unfortunately I do not know how to go about this. On my earlier playthroughs, I did one but it was quite weak. Now with the patches and dlc, arcane became more viable. Are there any good guides or ways to create such a character?
I finally decided to do a Moonlight Greatsword run of SotFS and holy shit this thing is a beast. What's a good Fashion Souls to go with it? I've been wearing the Astrologist set sans the hat, but I feel like there must be better options.
Start the fight, BHM out, spend all of your insight and come back. The adds won't even spawn then. Earlier game they can be a threat since their grab can kill you outright, but even then they aren't a hugely difficult boss.
the adds are literally worthless and only attack and follow you if youre one pixel away from them, otherwise they ignore you which is also what makes the fight so easy
The only time i've died during that fight barring the first time aroune is getting grabbed by one of them and all the adds swarming around me, already swinging by the time i get up.

I was asking about the same thing on the last page. Good idea to pair arcane with strength, probably. You could use the tonitrus or something like that. Skimping on health is a bad idea no matter what build you are.

So I just got SotFS and is it just me or does it only push Dark Souls II further in the direction it got so criticized for taking? Like it only makes it -more- Dark Souls II.

I really like SotFS. I think it's a superior version in terms of lore and gameplay. Although it rather enforces some of the awful aspects like spamming enemies and having some absurdly frustrating parts. Heide's tower comes to mind.
I like SotFS because if you're going to be unfair you might aswell fully embrace it and go full on unfair. The game always has a relatively consistent difficulty level now and you can pretty much expect to be swarmed everywhere at anytime since it never lets up, so you're always ready to the point where it's not really a problem anymore.
My first tour through Scholar's Iron Keep wasn't even remotely close to being an issue since I was already piped the fuck up from the relentless spider spam in Brightstone, the nonstop Old-Heideknighting, the crazy pirate spam from Wharf, etc so I oneshotted the area.
Lame bosses are still very lame which is something I'm sad about, but they were only going for minor improvements and tweaks, oh well.

My friend and I accidentally stumbled into that area when we started playing this, essentially fucking ourselves over a bit as it's most certainly not the first place we should have checked out, especially in SotFS. So many Heide knights just fucking sitting there, so God help you if you clip one.

God help you passing back through after killing the Dragon Rider.

I'll never not be disappointed that we never got to see or fight a Dragon Rider actually riding a Dragon.

Brightstone with torch was probably one of the best experiences i got.

I will never understand this gluttony for unfair, over the top punishment, but to each his own, I suppose
Anyway, Sen's Fortress is oddly fun, with all that traps evading ans snake men outmanuvering (I'm not being sarcastic)

It's enjoyable but I still think DS2 is the weakest link in the series ( thus far ) and anytime the bullshit actually affects me I let it be known through loud use of voicechat. Granted, I feel like DS2 was meant to be co-oped, specially SotFS, so anytime I play now it's with a friend. Game's ten times more fun was a result.

Far as I can tell, the AI operates much like the NPC red phantoms in Souls II. Comes at you as long as it has stamina. Shouldn't be too hard to bait, right?
How the FUCK do I kill these two big guys in the well at the Fishing Hamlet in Bloodborne?
The first guy has an insane hit box range and then they drop a second one in at half health. I can not deal with this.
