How the FUCK do I kill these two big guys in the well at the Fishing Hamlet in Bloodborne? The first guy has an insane hit box range and then they drop a second one in at half health. I can not deal with this.
The Shaman Bone Blade item, if you can connect with it and get out of your victim's range without dying, will turn them against eachother.
I did it nevermind managed to hit one with the shaman bone blade and they wrecked each other [editline]14th January 2016[/editline]
The Shaman Bone Blade item, if you can connect with it and get out of your victim's range without dying, will turn them against eachother.
NO IT'S TOO LATE I FIGURED IT OUT ON MY OWN

i wish i did that instead of spending 45 painstaking minutes trying to kill them manually
The only weapon I'm missing from the DLC is the moonlight sword, which I think I screwed up on getting. [sp]I didn't kill Ludwig's head, and I accidently killed the other guy in the lighthouse area because I didn't see him on the ground and I was fighting a bad guy. So I don't think there's any way I can get it now.[/sp]
[sp]Can't do that, the one guy already killed him and I progressed too far into the story and accidentally killed the other guy.[/sp]
[sp]Why not just kill Ludwig's head yourself? He'll drop the sword if you do[/sp]
[sp]Why not just kill Ludwig's head yourself? He'll drop the sword if you do[/sp]
[sp]I tried attacking it after the other guy killed it. Nothing happens and it just lays there with an arrow in its eye.[/sp]

I actually didn't know [sp]Simon kills Ludwig himself[/sp] if you don't talk to [sp]Ludwig[/sp] or kill him.
You only need a church chestpiece, you don't need the whole outfit. I wonder how he felt when I changed right back into my cainhurst knight's garb
What's with the hunter at the end of [sp]Eileen's questline?[/sp] It plays almost like that Dark Souls AI video from earlier.
Do you ever notice how NPC hunters always run at you in a zig-zag pattern?
What's with the hunter at the end of [sp]Eileen's questline?[/sp] It plays almost like that Dark Souls AI video from earlier.
The Bloody Crow of Cainhurst, simultaneously the hardest NPC to straight up fight and one of easiest to cheese.
People keep calling him the hardest NPC to fight but I had no problems with him? I beat him on my first try in a legit fight without using the health drain cheese method that I did on my first playthrough.
The Bloody Crow of Cainhurst, simultaneously the hardest NPC to straight up fight and one of easiest to cheese.
Ya I ended up having to cheese him. That fight just isn't fun. [editline]14th January 2016[/editline] Tbh, I'm disappointed in most of the hunter fights. Gascoigne was amazing, but then every hunter after that seems like they just ramped the health up to insane levels.

Notice how your damage is jack shit against the hunters compared to beasts/kin?
The hostile hunters NPCs from Bloodborne have maxed out stats (not one or two, all of them), have an infinite supply of tools and bullets (save for blood vials, I guess for decency's reasons) and aren't bound by the rules of stamina They are basically bosses in mook clothing
They didn't ramp the health up, their defense stat is ridiculously high. I'm doing [sp]Nightmare Frontier[/sp] first so I can clear my head :v:
They didn't ramp the health up, their defense stat is ridiculously high. Notice how your damage is jack shit against the hunters compared to beasts/kin?
The Bloody Crow of Cainhurst has 5,000hp. It's impossible for the player to come close to that.
People keep calling him the hardest NPC to fight but I had no problems with him? Easiest for me were the trio of Yahar'gul with obviously some preparations. Go to the downstairs and backstab the one on right, the moment you succesfully hit, mash r1 and he's done. Good thing they don't roll out out of your R1s and their aggression is really minimal especially the Beast Claw Hunter (since he'll just Roar gesture if you're far enough from him)
So how is respawning explained in Bloodborne, seeing as there is no gimmicks a la DaS / DeS (where you become an infinitely respawning undead or a soul)
So how is respawning explained in Bloodborne, seeing as there is no gimmicks a la DaS / DeS (where you become an infinitely respawning undead or a soul)
You are in a dream world your character cannot escape by his/her own How escape is possible and how worth it is become important plot points in the final sequence of the game
You are in a dream world your character cannot escape by his/her own How escape is possible and how worth it is become important plot points in the final sequence of the game
god damnit FROM That's ingenious

I beat him on my first try in a legit fight without using the health drain cheese method that I did on my first playthrough.
I thought he was really hard too and I always cheesed him but last time I fought him fair and square and he was really easy, so easy that I barely used any vials and he never killed me. His attacks do a lot of damage but they're very telegraphed. He will only shoot after rolling and to interrupt your attacks if you try to stunlock him so don't whack him more than 2 or 3 times in a row. If he hits you with his sword it's your own damn fault, you can see those coming a mile away
god damnit FROM That's ingenious
Also goes in hand with the HP mechanic, where it's not actually your wounds, but your desire and will to persevere God did they really just put [sp]Rom[/sp] at layer 3 in the lower phtumerian labyrinth as a boss. A fight so terrible it shouldn't have been in the game even once, why put it in twice
I had kind of figured the regain system was related to the nature beasthood and the effect blood seems to have. That is to say, the thrill of going in for the kill combined with bathing yourself in blood has an effect on one's inner-beast, similar to how the beast blood pellet allows you to gain a damage boost via attacking. As for the dream bit, I'm not sure Yharnam is a dream. But I'm also not sure it matters a whole lot. The lore is very Lovecraftian, and this includes the idea that dreams are a physical place. So the Hunter's Dream and the various nightmares are all dreams, but they are also real places. Hunters are sustained by the Hunter's Dream, and can't "die" while tied to it. This is why death is a very real prospect for those that say they don't dream anymore, such as Djura and eventually Eileen. Perhaps they don't truly die though, but face something similar to what you do should you submit to Gherman.
