PvP characters.
Also goes in hand with the HP mechanic, where it's not actually your wounds, but your desire and will to persevere
God did they really just put [sp]Rom[/sp] at layer 3 in the lower phtumerian labyrinth as a boss. A fight so terrible it shouldn't have been in the game even once, why put it in twice
I thought the wounds were real to show just how crazy blood ministration is when you pop blood vials.
Same with hitting a monster. When you hit the monster you're getting blood straight from the source and it only works then because it gets directly in your fresh wounds.
And in turns of the Hunters Dream etc. It just plays off H.P.Lovecrafts idea that dreaming isn't imagination it's a way to traverse other worlds. So the Hunters Dream is real, just on an entirely different plane of reality that you travel to in dreams. The reason you meet true death is because your form is tied between both worlds.
I'm thinking about leaving Dark Souls for good because, honestly, I'll never manage to be as good at the game as Iron Tarkus
That fucking walking fortress basically soloed the Iron Golem
Anor Londo is really gorgeous and the first time since I've started the game I like the setting and design
Can someone tell me where I need to go after defeating the gargoyle mini-boss after the first elevator?
It appears there is no way out and no means to proceed in the level
look for parts of a building you can walk on
I really really hope we get better fist weapons in DS3, oh man dual caestus\bone fists were the most fun.
look for parts of a building you can walk on
Specifically in the area you fought the gargoyle, just to narrow down the search
I missed it completely as well when I first went to anal rodeo
Tbh i only knew on my first run through because Yahtzee mentioned it on Zero Punctuation.

Hint 1 : need bravery
Hint 2 : it's not as slippery as it seems
Hint 3 : a thief's favourite
:v:
Yo fuck Heide Knights. Motherfuckers follow you to the ends of the earth then just look at you funny for a bit before spazzing out.
Any tips for getting blood chunks in bloodborne? I have like 100 insight and would really appreciate it if I could start buying them from the insight shop at some point.

I think you still unlock them by getting the iron door key from Nightmare of Mensis.

It's over Oliver, I have the high ground!
So I got invaded by Oliver the Collector and I decided to run away all the way back to the first Iron Keep bonfire since my attacks and magic weren't doing much to him and the Alonne knights were making me nervous.
So I after running past a lot of Alonne Knights and only dealing with the one at the start, Oliver had made his way towards me, but he decided to stand too close to that broken part of the bridge, so I whacked him a couple of times and he got stuck there so I magic'd him to death.
Finally got to defeat Lady Maria after 20 or so attempts, I'd say she is the second most difficult encounter I've had after Martyr Logarius [sp],though I haven't encountered Kos yet.[/sp]
I'm also glad that her outfit becomes available in the Insight shop after defeating her, probably the best looking attire set in the game. Onto getting my ass kicked in the Fishing Hamlet...
"Man I'm playing so good with my Lancer build, I should start recording and make a new compilation for fun."
*turns on Fraps, starts playing like shit*
WHY. I do this every fucking time.
I'm replaying Dark Souls (the first), and the first time I died was in Blight Town.
[sp]and then I died 25 more times getting to the bonfire at the bottom[/sp]
It's very strange going back to this game after playing a lot of the second.
I really love/hate the blades of mercy.
They're really cool, flashy and melt some enemies.
But the range/tracking can be real ass most of the time. I am stuck in front of Cainhurst as the bloodbellies keep mauling my face in because I'm too busy zooming 6 feet in the opposite direction with a dodge-attack or sometimes 6 inches and completely miss before they twitch-slap off another fourth of my health... or 3/4ths. Sometimes they just feel like doing triple damage. I just keeping whiffing in their face because it doesn't move you forward barely and inch sometimes. I am quickly losing my patience.
edit: now the little worms here are even kicking my ass. Fuck this silly butter knives.
Is a bloodtinge build viable for pve or is it mostly for pvp?
Is a bloodtinge build viable for pve or is it mostly for pvp?
It can work for both no problem.
I just have the 4 kings and Gwyn left before I can begin my NG+7, all bosses, perma-gravelord, weapon swap run. This playthrough may ruin Dark Souls for me, since I absolutely suck at the game. But at the same time, it might just be enough to make me "get gud".
I tried to do a funny :v:

That mocking tho. Tempted to bequeath thy post a box
Anyways, what's a good Curved Sword for Dark Souls 2 PvP? I'm absolutely loving the Gold Tracer in DaS (as it causes bleeding and well, t's a curved swod) so I wonder if there's anything similiar to it?
The warped sword and a Falchion w/ bleeding serum seem to be what I'm looking for
A thing I've noticed is that my scimitar and Uchigatana (both +3 at the moment) do surprisingly good damage against the enemies in Anor Londo, which leads me to believe that the snake men inside Sen's Fortress came packed with some kind of melee resistance

They do indeed.
They're also quite weak to lightning, so that lightning spear you get actually packs quite a punch on them.

The demons and guards in Anor Londo take surprisingly high Slash damage
Physical is split in 3 categories, Slash is usually the least effective one

I'm amazed that they're still +3. Why aren't you rolling with at least +5 weapons by now?

There is this small issue of me dying now and then
That and apparently I lack the materials
[editline]Today[/editline]
No, it's totally the lack of materials
