Give it up and use a real weapon. Yeah no shit you beat Quelaag with it, its broken and does stupid damage for that early in the game. The sword is carrying you through the game and you aren't learning anything, as soon as the damage stops being op you're going to have trouble because you're still bad.

Drake Sword's damage output starts getting pathetic once you start dealing with enemies past the 2 bells of awakening. I guarantee you will not survive the rest of the game with it.

I havent used drake sword since my first ever play through the memories. Currently I like to make a low level run through the catacombs and get Nitos sword (cant remeber its name) love its moveset.

When you're rich enough, you can ditch the drake sword, upgrade zweihander or claymore and turn yourself into a melee god.

Katanas are the disease feasting upon the healthy organism of Dark Souls, why would you stoop so low. Silver Knight Spear all the way, it's beautiful, strong and keeps slain skeletons from rising again with it's holy power.

Do you guys find these games oddly relaxing? For some reason I do.

Its relaxing until pvp at which point my heart starts beating 500 mph every time even if its not all that intense
