that looks hype, can we get more details?
Actually, looking back at the other alternate 3 covers, it might just be some random warrior. In the other drawn cover the armor is completely different, and then the other 2 covers is just re-used promo art from DS1. There's a lot of inconsistency between these covers.
FS needs to get back to mech games. I always wanted to play Metal Wolf Chaos since from what I read, it has a batshit crazy storyline. All these western devs try to make patriotic american games about fighting the enemies of freedom, but nobody makes patriotic shit like the japanese do. To this day, Heroman is the most american thing I have ever watched and metal wolf is the most american thing I've never played
Friendly reminder that regionally exclusive content is fucking stupid and I want that god damn Lord of Cinder statue
i know thats a joke but im glad they seem to be taking their time with dark souls 3, the last thing i want is for it to be rushed out the door like 75% of AAA games have been for the past 2 years
Haven't the latest DS games also been pretty rushed? I mean there's a lotta cut content and such I specially like how in the Demon's Souls assets you saw the Snakemen used in Sen's, and in DkS1 you found the spiderman assets used in DkS2's Brightstone Cove Tseldora.

Bloodborne to a lesser degree however, I think Sony gave them more lenience than Atlus or Bamco did.
rushed out the gate and still some of the greatest games ever made how embarrassing for other developers I mean why is anyone even trying anymore with ds3 coming out
Hey guys, does having a long name in Dark Souls 1 on PC still cause people to crash if they summon you? If so, what's the max amount of characters you can have in your name without it wrecking people's shit?
rushed out the gate and still some of the greatest games ever made how embarrassing for other developers I mean why is anyone even trying anymore with ds3 coming out
The worst thing about Dark Souls 3 is that it is the last Dark Souls It hasn't come out and I'm sad already

You can also get PvP Watchdog and that fixes the bug.
The worst thing about Dark Souls 3 is that it is the last Dark Souls It hasn't come out and I'm sad already
As long as From has more games in it's future, it's pretty easy for me to live with. Wherever they go afterwards- even if it's not a "souls" game- if they manage to bring the quality of the Dark Souls series into their future projects, we're in for good times to come.
The worst thing about Dark Souls 3 is that it is the last Dark Souls It hasn't come out and I'm sad already
No it isn't! If you read the article Headhopper posted a page or two back, they said that Dark Souls 3 isn't the end, but rather a "turning point" for the series.
Personally I hope they make a cyberpunk souls game after DS3.
I made a new character, made it level 12, grabbed a few things, equipped a pair of Caestus and now I'm in Darkroot Garden boxing people. That is actually fun.
How is The Old Hunters?

I don't see how OoK is suppose to be satisfying to beat. he's so frustrating that you can't even celebrate because you're that frustrated. I still have yet to beat them
Personally I hope they make a cyberpunk souls game after DS3.
The thing I've wondered most about a cyberpunk/space/scifi/whatever Souls game is how they're going to do the combat. The story would be fine because they can just rip off System Shock, but how are you going to translate the very melee-oriented gameplay of the Souls series to a scifi environment? It would have to do a BB-style trick weapon thing, and even then, it still would seem a little disingenuous to have laser katanas or whatever when there's automatic guns and such. [editline]20th January 2016[/editline]
How is The Old Hunters?
I'd argue it's almost necessary for a complete experience playing BB. It adds a lot, especially in regards to weapon variety.
How is The Old Hunters?
It's what Artorias of the abyss is to Dark Souls, a giant ass expansion with a bunch of new toys, enemies, bosses and lore

I just want Alva's armour to be in DS3 because its my favourite armour set.
The thing with scifi is that you can invent reasons why ranged weapons are limited like Dune.
The thing with scifi is that you can invent reasons why ranged weapons are limited like Dune.
Also, with the surrealist tones of every other Soulsborne game, it really isn't that hard to imagine that FromSoft could make the lack of automatic weapons feel natural. I just don't know how they would do weapon variety, or weapons besides beam katanas in general.
they could do something like Dead Space where all the weapons aren't inherently weapons and are just tools or something like that which lets them be more creative
My biggest beef is that this is probably the last From game on PC. I don't have enough money to mantain a PS4 or anything like that, they're insanely pricy, and I'm lucky my PC can actually run things right now. O well, maybe they do wind up porting more in the future if Sony doesn't slam them with contracts.
Well, you need to remember. Bloodborne was a one-off publishing deal with Sony. Most of their games in the future will be published by the Kadokawa Corporation. Which isn't much better, but a decent number of Kadokawa titles have been brought to PC, even if half of them are dating sims or obscure anime tie-ins. Sony doesn't actually own Fromsoft.

Just come up with some super-science armour that just deflects bullets or someting and the only thing that can go through are laser swords and some high frequency blades and all that jazz. Shit could be really cash. Except of course for some railgun cannons, working as hi-tech sorceries and pyromancies, standard assault rifles could just have limited ammo or deal low damage or both, there are many options to do stuff, question is if they will.
