It's funny because it's the point I'm in the game at the moment

Does anyone have tips for OoK? I'm getting so frustrated with this one
Does anyone have tips for OoK? I'm getting so frustrated with this one
Watch his attacks closely, bring the augur of ebrietas. Use the oedon writhe and blood rapture runes since you gain 4x from them in the first half In his first stage, he has a slow, overhead attack where he smashes down, when he raises his leg, that's when you fire to get the parry. When he brings his weapon to his left to swing it at you, fire right as it begins to twitch to get the parry. When he jumps at you, run into it and use the augur to get a backstab. When he pulls out a ball and puts it into the ground to do his AOE(being in the center where the pink is does not make you immune to the attack as if it were the eye of the storm so don't try it), get behind him but no closer than a quickstep's distance away and backstab with the augur or your weapon if it's fast enough. When he throws the ball at you, dodge into it, do no go back or to the side. When he drags his weapon at you to lunge at you, fire as soon as you can to get the parry. Second stage run back to the entrance when he calls lightning, I noticed that it strikes the corpse of Kos but I'm not sure if it always strikes it. You can backstab him right as he begins the second stage but it's at the very end of the animation. When he brings his weapon to the side, he's going to attack so fire your weapon to parry. Stay out his range when he beings the combo, it always kill me and if you're attacking from behind, make sure he doesn't hit you when his weapon goes to his back after an upward swing, it killed me when I had him a hit away from death. Keeping your camera unlocked also helps in this fight since he likes to fly around and bomb you so keep an eye out so you don't roll into it. There's also an animation where he's angrily running around, that's the beginning of an attack animation. He's also vulnerable to bolt but I didn't need it when I beat him, it's bonus damage but not a lot. You can parry most of his attacks, it's just a lot harder in the 2nd stage
Finally figured out how to cross to Anor Londo's castle. Kinda feel dumb not figuring it out more quickly. Strolled around Anor Londo, open chests, making Silver Knights eat shit, eating shit (thanks headless demon and tiny annoying gargoyles), met Solaire and Onion Head again, talked to a gentle giant and tried talking to other not-so-gentle giants. Dark Souls is teaching me to pace myself with it. An hour, two maybe. I can't play it too long otherwise I'll go nuts trying to force through what seems to be a methodical game and where Karma bites like the bitch she is. Especially when you suicide roll right under a Giant's shield crush attack because you thought it would do a 180 tracking on you. Aside from that, the orb resonated in the great hall. Do I have to be human to invade the murderer's realm?
When fighting OoK make sure you do it in the water. It's a huge area with no obstructions and the lightning is fairly easy to avoid out there. The lightning always hits Kos' corpse and it always spreads out in the same way.

[editline]20th January 2016[/editline] I got so close this time too my mouth was dry from it. I just need to git gud I'm seeing people take care of him no problem. I feel like a chump seeing a guy take him on bare fisted and not get hit
I found this weird Metroid looking blob thing in Blighttown, and killing it caused it to drop humanity? [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/W3ohjkJ.jpg[/img_thumb]
Choice of battle location is really up to you. On land you can easily get your blood echoes back and escape the lightning but the slope might prevent you from getting a visceral. I prefer to fight on the edge of the water but you're going to want to get away from there once the 2nd stage begins

[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/W3ohjkJ.jpg[/img_thumb]
You found a Vagrant. Rare creatures that appear under different circumstances as a result of another player fucking up. That one is an "Evil White Vagrant".
Evil Vagrants are the result of unretrieved humanity being lost. If a bloodstain containing 5 or more soft-humanity isn't picked up by a player before they die, a Vagrant will be sent to another person online.
Vagrants are really cool, only ever seen one (cowardly egg on legs type). Too bad there is nothing like them in DS2, it adds some mystery to the game I feel.
I did!!!!! I got lucky with backstabs!! I'm actually shaking right now it was so intense. Thanks guys you really helped!
So apparently this is a thing. Looks so goddamn ugly. That helmet does not look very well in that style.
it looks stretched
they expect money for that shit?
Is there any way to get a relayable source of light? I can't proceed in the Tomb of the Giants otherwise Also, Pinwheel had a very impressive design (I love masks), but I dealt with him in 40 seconds flat
there's a reliable source of light further inside the tomb of the giants so just deal with it until you find it I guess [editline]20th January 2016[/editline] or just use the cast light sorcery

The concept of a cyberpunk Souls game with characters almost literally giving up their humanity for power is amazing. Especially if the bosses are like RE-Tier techno-organic monstrosities.
I started playing dark souls 2 just over a week ago, first game I've played in the series.. I'm level 132 now and loving it.

Some guys on /tg/ have been brainstorming a scifi campaign setting heavily based on Dark Souls and Bloodborne. It's a pretty neat concept and at least worth a quick read if you're interested. Although it doesn't exactly work completely for a videogame, as it was made as a tabletop setting, some of the concepts explored are pretty cool. https://jii.moe/NkNrxmKOg.pdf
and now this is all ive ever wanted
It breaks my heart every time I get summoned just in time to see my summoner die at the hands of an invader.
I want something to cover for my evelyn's weaknesses. Rosemarinus or Flamesprayer? I previously used ludwig's rifle but I want to try something new
I want something to cover for my evelyn's weaknesses. Rosemarinus or Flamesprayer? I previously used ludwig's rifle but I want to try something new
Flamesprayer. Rosmarinus only matches its damage with high arcane, and even then, fire tends to be more useful than arcane unless you're PvPing.
Even at 40 arcane Rosmarinus does piss poor damage in PvP. Not really worth it imo.
