Even at 40 arcane Rosmarinus does piss poor damage in PvP. Not really worth it imo.
It's one of those "yours will never be as good as an NPC's" weapons.
Looks like I'll have to go with something else then. I really want something that complements the evelyn that isn't ludwig's rifle. Piercing rifle seems interesting but I can't think of any instances where the enemies have lined up
The Mask of the Child is far more useful than what I initially thought
The Mask of the Child is far more useful than what I initially thought
it pretty much frees a ring / shield slot if you don't want to use Green Blossom and want some extra stamina regen
they stack tho [editline]21st January 2016[/editline] iirc you can have up to 3 stam buffs at once
they stack tho [editline]21st January 2016[/editline] iirc you can have up to 3 stam buffs at once
Why would I use child's + cloranthy when I can use child's + DWGR
Finally saved up enough to buy the Blades of Mercy on my new character, beating Blood Starved Beast gave me enough to do it and damn if this isn't an awesome set of moves. I feel I need to upgrade it a bit more before I take on Amelia of, but it just seems like Pvp - the Weapon. Even the disengage is an attack!
Bloodborne counter damage is dumb, getting one shot at full health is always frustrating
Bloodborne counter damage is dumb, getting one shot at full health is always frustrating
so they removed the hornet's ring yet replaced it with something else kek
a hornets ring in bloodborne with the saw spear you'd get something akin to dark soul 2's parry but you kick him down onto his back instead and just fucking drive the spear into his chest and just dig it in there with the kirkhammer you'd smash him with the hammer and twirl around a bit with him stuck on it like a piece of old gum and smash him into the ground with the cauliflower tentacles you'd give them a loving embrace with mosiac censorship
Bloodborne counter damage is dumb, getting one shot at full health is always frustrating
the slow parry death animation when it happens to you always hits me with that dark souls-esque dread [editline]21st January 2016[/editline]
a hornets ring in bloodborne with the saw spear you'd get something akin to dark soul 2's parry but you kick him down onto his back instead and just fucking drive the spear into his chest and just dig it in there with the kirkhammer you'd smash him with the hammer and twirl around a bit with him stuck on it like a piece of old gum and smash him into the ground with the cauliflower tentacles you'd give them a loving embrace with mosiac censorship
dude the first time i fought cauliflower tentacles I shat myself (having never touched the weapon or tried it out yet)

When he gets smashed to the ground, he takes another 1600 damage There's nothing as soul crushing as a hornet parry. Guy powerstabs you with a rapier, you lose insignificant health, and then you get 1shot when you're down on the ground

If I ever got ring swap parry killed in Dark souls 1 or 2 PvP I'd probably turn off the game for the day
oh man. If I ever got ring swap parry killed in Dark souls 1 or 2 PvP I'd probably turn off the game for the day
Thankfully it's not a thing in 2
Thankfully it's not a thing in 2
I'll just leave this here... (go to 5:50)
Thankfully it's not a thing in 2
Actually there are plenty of instant kills in 2.
Wouldn't it be neat if, when you had enough STR you could wield great and ultra great weapons semi casually in one hand similar to how certain NPCs do it? Seeing a Steel Knight just run around all chill with his Greatsword makes me sad that I can't do it even if I hit something as high as 50 STR, double the requirements it has and then some. Probably would suck ass for balance reasons, but imagine the aesthetic.
When I fought Rom the other day, I summed Damian of Mensis for assistance since I wanted the fight to end as quickly as possible and I wanted to see what kind of hunter he is. I thought I was going to get my ass beat because he rolled with a loch shield and threaded cane but the guy just started bombarding Rom with blacksky eye and a call beyond and it was glorious. I highly recommend summoning him for the fight. It feels amazing to have artillery backing you up.

whats a weapon in DS2 that has good fire scaling?
whats a weapon in DS2 that has good fire scaling?
Without infusing? Probably the Black Knight Sword.
Without infusing? Probably the Black Knight Sword.
anything really, infused or not. I just need something that hits hard with fire damage
Well there's a lot of weapons that can scale well with fire, it's hard to pick just one. I say figure out what kind of weapon you want to use first. Then pick out the weapon of that type that scales best with fire. http://darksouls2.wikidot.com/weapons
Fuck the iron passage. [editline]22nd January 2016[/editline] Fume knight is hard as shit too.
i think fume knight is the boss i had the most trouble with in dark souls 2 next to darklurker, i dont remember specifically why though
Fume Knight was awesome. I didn't get mad when I died to him, it was just a straight up legit challenge. And beating it, it felt so good.
I liked fighting Samurai Jack and the Ivory King more. [editline]22nd January 2016[/editline] There's no real annoying gimmick to either fight other than fighting off the waves of knights before you can get to the King and I honestly didn't think the Ivory King wasn't gonna go "oh shit i didn't put the duracells in my lightsaber just give me a sec and fix that"
Those four-legged skeletal beasts in the Tomb of Giants, on top of being able to one-shoot me, have such hitboxes that I'm phisically preventing from rolling out of their attacks even if I dodge in their opposite direction I think I'm done for the evening
if you cant beat them then dont fight them
ya you don't have to fight a single one of them
