Can't, I have to keep my manners. Proper bow, give humanity, prepare to fight, fight. After that is all fun and games.
I never bother fighting honorably unless I'm doing fight club or dragonbros. I find invaders aren't there for a fair fight most of the time, so I just don't take the chance anymore.
I like it when I get invaded by some guy who thinks he's hot shit because he has the chikage or BoM. One shotting me with a chikage doesn't mean shit when the attacks are heavily telegraphed and the BoM's speed doesn't mean anything when you can't get close.
I really don't get the politeness vibe people have playing this game. There's really no reason to invade people apart from wanting to troll them.
idk when you get to a build you want, pvp is pretty fun
I always try to fight people near the spawn so dying doesn't cost them their blood echoes and they get to fight a tough enemy. I think most people enjoy PvP except for when there's a chance they could lose their blood echoes or they're planning to go do something else like fight the boss or exit via lamp
Wasn't there an arena for fighting in Dark Souls? I also noticed people generally invade in shitty areas to get through. The game really seems to encourage it though. You can go smash in some faces with a chaos fireball at level one.
Oh no Demon's Soul is five bucks on the Playstation Store The issue I have is that I'm not sure if I like Dark Souls the first, let alone is much less polished spiritual prequel and its sequel
Honestly, if you think DS1 is unfair in any way at all, you're going to think Demon's Souls is the worst game ever made.
Well, it's still sold at five bucks I mean, it's not like I'd loose a huge investment
It's still a great game. It has some of my favorite moments of any of the Souls series.

Can't fuckin do fume knight. [editline]25th January 2016[/editline] Literally spent 20 effigies.
Got Scholar of the First Sin, against my better judgment Something I'm sure about is that I'm going to be a dual wielding knight or something there because, as I'm writing this, being a dex/int hybrid in Dark Souls isn't exactly doing wonders for me, to the point I never use sorceries period
your first mistake was attempting to use intelligence on your first playthrough
FUCK the elevator in blighttown
Dual wielding still stays my personal build, fully offensive with a few throwing knifes if necessary.
New Game+ is progressing nicely. I just finished getting every pyromancy, and now I'm stompin' through the catacombs. Thanks for posting this!
FUCK the elevator in blighttown
What's wrong with it?
What's wrong with it?
With DSFix, for me, sometimes I'll clip through the platforms. It can be a little annoying.
your first mistake was attempting to use intelligence on your first playthrough
Honestly, it's not a matter of picking up an unusual build or something that requires more focus than a simple strenght or dexterity build in a game I'm playing for the first time First of all, if Bloodborne and the hours I've invested in Dark Souls this far are anything to go by, in the Souls game I like to defeat enemies by either outmanuvering them and backstab them, going in fast and hard or parry and then counterattacking them for massive damage. As such, I tend to completely forget I have spells or enchantments at all Second, at the point I am in the game (level 63, 25 int AND dexterity, 30-ish vitality and endurance) and with the catalyst and spells I have at my disposal, hacking everything to pieces with Queelag's Furysword (which inflicts fire damage and seems to have a larger hitbox than what I always presume it has) prooves to be the fastest and easiest way to deal with pretty much everything, with the spells I have (homing soulmass and greater enchanted weapon) providing little benefit Again, I'm not blaming the game itself: maybe I'm increasing my stats poorly, spells become useful only if you pump far more intelligence into them or a magic knight build needs far more to be viable than what I expected The only reason I pump arcane in my Bloodborne's pure skill build is that I can use the Mergo's Loft: Middle mooks to increase my level at a LUDICROUS pace, so I have points to spare after getting my vitality to 50, my endurance to 40 (maybe too much) and my skill to 50
I always felt a spellsword type character should use magic for things other than damage. Fall Control, Cast Light, Magic Shield, all good options to have that make magic a worthwhile investment.
Endurance to 40? I never even see people recommend going over 20 unless they want to use Blades of Mercy.
I always get my endurance up as high as I can in From's games. With 40 endurance you can get a 7 hit combo using the saw cleaver and still have stamina left for a dodge. I don't really see the point in putting your health up seeing as you can dodge 99% of the attacks that come at you.
High vitality is so you survive when you don't. Dodging 99% is all well and good but it's the 1% that'll matter in a boss fight. I usually put high endurance in DS1 & 2 but in BB it seems considerably less necessary. The stamina cost for dodging is so much lower and there isn't equipment load. I find that unless there's some sort of reason I need a huge amount of stamina (blades of mercy, bowblade cheesing, w/e) then there's not much benefit going higher than about 20.

I suppose if you've played the game a lot and know what you're doing, a high endurance will probably be more your thing. I wouldn't recommend prioritising endurance over vitality to a new player, though. Especially in BB, a high vitality goes a long way in avoiding one-shots. I prefer it because I know I won't be able to dodge things like Ludwig's grand slam every time, so it would be nice to survive it when I don't.
Is the lost izalith part of siegmeyer's quest even possible to do without cheesing it in some way? like weakening the monsters before you talk to him I thought I could do it normally but when we dropped down into the swamp he instantly died.
