Is the lost izalith part of siegmeyer's quest even possible to do without cheesing it in some way? like weakening the monsters before you talk to him
I thought I could do it normally but when we dropped down into the swamp he instantly died.
well yes, you can weaken the mobs. Could even leave a single one alive for him to fight
Scholar of the First Sin really doesn't feel as good as the original Dark Souls. I haven't played DS2 since its launch, and honestly I'm not impressed so far.
I'm gonna start Demon's Souls on the PS3, never played it before, I only tried Dark Souls 1 and 2 but I wanna get into the games cuz they seem really good. Any tips for a newbie for Demon's Souls? :v:

Uh don't die because it makes the game fucking annoying, have fun.
Genuinely, though, just take it slow and explore.
I'll do my best :v:

Also, are people still playing Demon's on the PS3? I'm seeing some white ghosts running about, are those other players? I'm in the Tutorial now.

Yep! Those are phantoms of other players. You can see brief glimpses into what other people in the world are doing.
I like to be generous with Endurance but thats coz i never really do hybrid builds :v:
Save for my DS2 PVP build but thats level 200 so :v:

I think the ones in the tutorial are pre-recorded ghosts by the devs though.

I remember the first time i started playing dark souls 2 and saw those, was a bit freaked.

DS2 on launch wasn't very good. The good thing is the DLCs which add a lot to DS2. DS2 is still the weakest game in the series.

Alright, thanks. :D

The Souls series at it's weakest is still stronger than a lot of franchises at their strongest IMO.
Dark Souls 2's parry system is also pretty fucking frustrating.
I still prefer DS2 over DS1, mainly because I can dual wield ultra greatswords.
heide knight cosplay with 2 swords that can shoot lighting and sunlight blade, a match made in heaven.
fun to mess around with powerstance attacks
I really need to get around to finishing Demon's Souls.

Despite the majority of the soundtrack being a mess of low quality MIDI synths, there are a few gems like this one.
It's still a great game. It has some of my favorite moments of any of the Souls series.
Maiden Astraea was a surprise.
Great game, Demon's Souls. Even though it has some clunky shit that was fixed in Dark Souls.
I really hope that Dark Souls 3's movement feels more like Dark Souls than 2, because actually moving around at a pace slower than the glide-walk maximum speed feels really shitty, imo.
hey also FUCK the anor londo snipers
So what are everybody's plans for going into DS3? I'm probably going to go as high as I can with a quality/faith build just so I cant try everything out.
composite builds are what i go for on my first character in every souls game so i can find what playstyle i like
Dual wielding in Dark Souls 2 doesn't prevent one from parrying, right?
STR / DEX / END / VIT
Fuck everything else

When dual wielding you cannot parry

Unless you're not powerstancing

I was going to try and get all the demon's soul's achievements today
But
Yeah fuck that shit I thought there wasn't this many "upgrade weapon" ones
starting to realize how stupid bonfire teleportation is. gotta walk from anor londo to firelink shrine and that adds ALOT to the game
Wellp I got a long journey ahead of me.
Wish me fuckin' luck
theres a reason you only get bonfire teleportation after anor londo and thats because of how far apart the upcoming areas are to each other
if there was no teleportation it would just be a hell of a lot of artificial game lengtheners
yeah, a lot of tedium.
It's a dangerous adventure back, couldn't sit at a bonfire aswell so i could homeworld bone back

You can parry if you're wielding a rapier or falchion in your offhand I think.
