depends on your left weapon moveset really. Some shields can't parry afaik
After beating a huge ass, pathetic wolf, I'm currently trying to defeat the Four Kings (rather cool, by the way)
Isn't there a single bonfire in Anor Londo? Because having to make the long slog between Firelink Shrine and the Abyss is becoming TEDIOUS real, real FAST

that "pathetic" wolf has a cool ass story behind it being there as it is; some of my favorite lore in Dark Souls

Confirmed, EliaMoroes has no soul

New Londo Ruins is a fucking pain in the ass. But it's one of the areas you just learn to speedrun. Firelink -> Valley of Drakes (run past those cunts, they're slow) -> The Spookiest waterpark ever -> Boss fight. Should only take a few attempts to get the run down.
Yo the final boss in the bloodborne dlc is gross as shit.
Honestly From software are getting really good at designed freakass monsters. Kind of makes me sad we probably won't see another dlc for BB.

Honestly Bloodborne feels just right with the inclusion of that expansion; on par with Artorias DLC for DS1. But I can't deny I want to see more of that world
Just beat DS2 SotfS for the first time, SL 238 and SM 10m. I grind a lot.
Might do new game+ but I basically fucked myself with the SM

You can still link to people in higher NG iterations. I haven't actually done either game in NG+ so there's probably a good handful of changes that await you.

Once you drain the water there's a safe spot to drop down after the first ghosts I think that saves a lot of time
It's a dangerous adventure back, couldn't sit at a bonfire aswell so i could homeworld bone back

that wolf is pathetic because youre supposed to fight him earlier on in the game
I've defeated the Four Kings and now I'm navigating the Duke's Archives
This is the first area of the game I can say I really like, as far as design is concerned
The same can be said for Seath the Scaleless, who is a strange mixture between a dragon, a butterfly and a snail and, apparently, moonlights as a mad scientist who likes to put crystals in everyone
that wolf is pathetic because youre supposed to fight him earlier on in the game
Althought he can be excused on the virtue of him being, well, a fucking huge wolf swinging a sword with his mouth, his attacks are highly telegraphed, has only three of them and leaves himself open to attack during them if you dodge the first time (moreso if you can get right under him, which is incredibly easy)
God, I always loved that Sif had a different cutscene play when you approach him for the first time with the Cleansing Greatshield and Sif realizes the implications. Gave me chills
and then you still thrash him in <10 hits
and then you still thrash him in <10 hits
but then it's like fuck I don't wanna kill him; he's only fighting because he has to
he's like artorias in that he's not particularly difficult, just a really memorable and emotional boss fight
he's like artorias in that he's not particularly difficult, just a really memorable and emotional boss fight
artorias wooped my ass for like 20+ deaths but then the +10 great scythe showed me the way to salvation
he's like artorias in that he's not particularly difficult, just a really memorable and emotional boss fight
fook off m8
Artorias is one of the most annoying boss fights, in a good way
Either you learn or you get whacked

His thrusts are too fucking accurate though. Also his bullshit powerup after you dance for a while.
artorias always felt super fair to me, part of why hes my favorite boss in any game
artorias always felt super fair to me, part of why hes my favorite boss in any game
It's fair bordering on bullshit. The tricky balance is what made defeating him so satisfying
Certainly the extreme damage output doesn't help
artorias got a lot easier once i just used a greatshield
Everything got a lot easier when I started using just about any shield,so used to dual wielding.
I kind of feel like I need help keeping Bloodborne's story straight. I think I've got a general idea of it, but I feel like I could be wrong. big-ass summary incoming.
[sp]So it starts waaay back with the Pthumerians, who discovered "the Eldritch Truth", making them super powerful and able to communicate with the Great Ones. The price of this communication was that some of their children would be offered up as surrogates to the Great Ones. Queen Yharnum was one such woman selected to have a Great One-baby thing (Mergo), but something went wrong, possibly a miscarriage. Mergo is stuck between worlds as a result, and eventually the Pthumerians decline and retreat to the Labyrinth.
Much later, tomb prospectors go prancing about the Labyrinth and begin finding artifacts and clues to the existence of the Great Ones. Willem, Laurence, and Co at Bergenwyrth think this is the hottest shit to happen to mankind since sliced bread, and decide mankind needs to evolve. Right off the bat, they disagree about how to do this. Willem wants to do it through research and arcane rituals, while Laurence wants to rely on using the blood of the Great Ones. Laurence bails on Willem and establishes the Healing Church. This goes fine for a while, until the Healing Church itself starts fracturing into factions like the School of Mensis. Mensis wanted their evolution now, dammit, and decided to conduct twisted rituals to go to the Nightmare realm and contact the Great Ones themselves. Well, they did, but they contacted Mergo, who accidentally fried all of their brains and created the Nightmare of Mensis. Oh shit.
Now, the Great Ones realize that there are these little buggers from another world trying to reach them, and take a greater interest in mankind, trying to make contact through stable Nightmares, like the Nightmare of Mensis. Having the Great Ones closer to the physical world kinda causes a little bit of a... reaction to any human who has been treated with blood ministration (the entire damn city of Yharnum). The Healing Church goes into panic mode, and start working on rituals to un-screw everything. Rom is created to hide the mess the School of Mensis made and lessen the beast curse, and Gherman turns to the Moon Presence to establish the hunters to deal with the existing beasts, at the cost of him being trapped in the Hunter's dream.
Once again, things are fine and dandy until the hunters kill Kos and/or Kos' followers at the Hamlet. From that point, the hunters are cursed to eventually succumb to bloodlust and aimlessly stalk the Hunter's Nightmare. Without their hunters, the Healing Church is losing a battle of attrition to the beast plague, resulting in the rather bleak state of Yharnum when the game starts.[/sp]
Am I just grasping at straws?
Sounds mostly right
[sp]I am pretty sure Kos was killed earlier than that. Kos herself was killed by the fishers at the hamlet, and then the parasites in her body afflicted all the villagers, who were then killed en masse by Gehrman (including Maria) and his troupe in search of eyes. This happened somewhere when the Healing Church was founded and random people were employed to be hunters.[/sp]
I thought Kos just washed up like that but being a great one, power radiated from her and turned the hamlet into that much like how the dead reaper in ME2 still indoctrinates those around it.
Also I just had the best team for the ludwig fight. One guy had a bow blade and the other had what I think was an electrified pizza cutter and that combination absolutely destroyed ludwig. If it weren't for the cutscene, that fight would have been under a minute. I've never seen such destruction
So I played Demon's Souls for several hours today, beat the first boss (Phlanax). Got some souls, leveled up a bit etc. also died several times and lost 3-4k souls. So, what's a good place to farm some souls to upgrade my weapon and get some more stats up? I went to 4-1 and those skeletons at the start aren't too bad, they give like 300 per kill so I can get 3-4k souls fairly fast. Any other area?

There aren't a lot of amazing farming spots when you're that early into the game. 4-2 as a whole was always pretty good for me and shouldn't be too hard for you to get to. I also liked 1-3 after opening up the big shortcut in the level but you need to beat an archdemon to get there.
76 days left
It'll probably take me that long to beat the NG+7 gravelord all bosses run.
I'm scared.
