anyone know how long until dark souls 3 comes out?
anyone know how long until dark souls 3 comes out?
April 12th in the west, March 24th for Japan I believe.
I took on Martyr Logarius and something strange happened: basically, he entered in his second phase WITHOUT trying to charge himself up, making parrying him so much easier that I've defeated him on my first try After that I just stood outside Logarius' arena and ring my small bell One player in particular sent me a message where he (she?) was nearly in tears, because he was stuck on Logarius for the whole day and I allegedly "saved" him
There aren't a lot of amazing farming spots when you're that early into the game. 4-2 as a whole was always pretty good for me and shouldn't be too hard for you to get to. I also liked 1-3 after opening up the big shortcut in the level but you need to beat an archdemon to get there.
Thanks.
first time I played sens fortress I played a drinking game with my friend where I had to take a shot anytime I died; I was drunk by the time tarkus killed that boss Can't wait for ds3

I read that if you hit him around the time he starts charging it will cancel it. I fought him myself last night for the first time. It took a cooperator for me to do it as I could not get a hit in on him by myself. Cancelling his buff really helps.
My theory about what happened is that I did so much damage to him in a single row that the boss' AI just kipped right to the second phase or something
That could be what happened since you can do that to Rom if you can make her teleport twice and the second brings her right back to where she just was
So I invaded someone through the fat cat covenant (for the 3rd time ever) and there were two non-summoned guys. Neither of them had any glow or anything. They didn't even fight me (Asides from stabbing me in the back with a bare knuckle) and after a few minutes of goofing around both jumped down a chasm awarding me with half a million souls. Is this how I PVP? :v:

First time against Longarius was a nightmare since it was my first time and I had no idea what to do. 2nd file I beat him of first go cause I found out his second form is parry city, cainhurst. When he runs and catches up with you, 3/4 times he'll do a quick swing and you can just shoot easy peasy. The scythe swings are super telegraphed (sans the first swing variant where he lunged a bit) and his flying attacks are laughable since both can be avoided by dodge forward. Well, he still kinda sucks for arcane builds because of his big resistance numbers.
Dark Souls 1? It's possible to change your appearance with Cheat Engine (you can appear as any type of Phantom, as a hollow and even in human form)
Yep. That explains it. And the goofing around. And the too many souls. I should probably have an "accident" and lose these souls as it doesn't seem legit.

Even when consistently invading you can get that much pretty quickly
Quick question, is DSFix still a requirement (more or less) for Dark Souls, or did the migration to steam fix those/any issues?
Quick question, is DSFix still a requirement (more or less) for Dark Souls, or did the migration to steam fix those/any issues?
You still require DSFix to make the game more playable, PvP Watchdog if you are planning to play online.
After more than 100 hours I've invested in Bloodborne, I still utterly refuse to face any Winter Lantern I come across I stand firm in my opinion that frenzy is an incredibly cheap gameplay mechanic in an otherwise though but fair videogame

Otherwise run past that shit.
it makes sense thematically but its really dumb how you are forced to spend a resource that takes a lot of time to build up just to lighten a dumb, unfair mechanic
the wooden shield blocks frenzy from winter lanterns while you hold it up
Is this true? I thought I remembered hearing it was bullshit. Kinda awesome if true.

If you're going to encounter winter lanterns you should be carrying sedatives.

Man, I might just be the worst at dodging... but Fume Knight and Sir Alonne can go fuck themselves.
Man, I might just be the worst at dodging... but Fume Knight and Sir Alonne can go fuck themselves.
With Alonne it's a bit like PvP, you gotta anticipate his attacks and dodge at the precise moment he swings. Aside from the slog to actually get to him, he's probably one of the fairest/least bullshit bosses in the game. Fume Knight is a bit tougher. I presume it's the big arcing swipe he does with his big sword in the second stage that's killing you? That's what gets most hosts I play with. Stick close to him and either dodge around him to his left, thus avoiding the swing, or under the sword to his right. That is much harder to pull off but it gives you an opening for an attack or two of your own. Honestly for both of them I'd suggest dropping your sign and fighting them as a phantom with someone else. It'll be harder with Alonne, but definitely do it with the Fume Knight. Lots of people have trouble with him and you might either pick up some tricks, or just learn his moves better.

I just don't even go near them or I try to spend my insight on chunks or a blood rock so I don't go into frenzy right after I got frenzied. With very low insight, I was able to use the bloodletter's L2 without popping a sedative
Man, I might just be the worst at dodging... but Fume Knight and Sir Alonne can go fuck themselves.
Fume knights hitboxes are really bizarre. It makes his weapon like twice as wide and adds an extra two feet to the length.

it's ranged bleed
I hope we get more big thing bossfights. Kalameet is easily one of the most memorable bosses in the games, not only is it a cool ass dragon, the human vs. massive fucking thing aspect comes through really clearly and actually makes for a very fun fight. I'd honestly really like a non-shitty version of Dragon God or Old Iron King or even Bed of Chaos. Platform oriented, slightly puzzley, you vs. giant dude/beast.
God, no. I have learned from Bloodborne that From's attempts at making a huge boss for the player to fight end up either being too easy (MP, Amelia, CB) or end up being unfun garbage (Laurence, Darkbeast, defiled Amygdala) The best boss fights are also pretty much always against humanoid enemies that aren't that much bigger than the player, like Gascoigne, Maria, and OoK.
