Dark Souls + Demon's Souls + Bloodborne Megathread VII. Now Only Embers Remain

Be a man and punch him to death naked and NG+7
On the topic of Dark Souls world design, I've only recently realized that the valley of drakes and the bridge to the New Londo floodgate are directly below you in the pit of Darkroot Basin if you look off the edge.
Wait, you can parry WITH YOUR BARE HAND?!
Left Hand L2 / whatever strong attack the button is. (I use a PS3 controller)

ya dude
Any of you well versed in Dark Souls 2 PvP, what are some breakpoints I should be looking out for?
Like the target HP (which was 1800 in DS1), Soul level, Soul Memory, Agility etc...
oh shit we're almost out of thread
I've defeated the Pursuer by memorizing his patterns and dodging almost perfectly everything
On to the next level, which is ... another ruined castle
Wow.
And 3 is wherever the hell the Kiln of the First Flame is (the final level, place covered in ash, you traverse a weird-ass hall of light to reach it.)
Yo I realize this was a page ago, but this bit was so perplexing I had to comment on it. The Kiln of the First Flame is like a prison for Gwyn and his knights. It's nowhere near as ridiculous or convoluted as going UP from the top of a windmill and appearing in a lava castle surrounded by mountains.

I've got the next thread covered that's going up pretty soon.
The end boss of the Bloodborne DLC is ridiculous.
OoK is one of my favorite bosses in Bloodborne. It was intense and kinda terrifying at the same time.
it's kind of difficult to take a screaming naked man swinging a chicken wing around too seriously
He's just so relentless and it doesnt help that he hits like a fucking truck.
[sp]It also doesnt help that he suddenly grows wings and becomes even more relentless.[/sp]
He's not so difficult once you've died to him 50 times and learned all his moves and parry timings
Also, how does the Old Iron King DLC have two of the best "people' bosses in the entire series, but overall be a gigantic shitty gauntlet that is also ugly.
It feels like "Ok we have to put something -good- in too guys".

Sir Alone and Fumy Knight are highlights of DS2.
Speaking of which, I know the Sir Alonne theme composer is gonna be featured in DS2, she did the main menu theme and you can see the similarities. My friend told me that her & Motoi Sakuraba, the guy who did themes for DS1, are gonna be the two main composers for DS2. Can anyone confirm?
Its a shame that Alonnes fantastic boss fight is basically ruined by the awful and tedious boss run it takes to get to him

She already is in DS2 and her name is Yuka Kitamura. I assume you mean DS3.
The main menu theme in DS3 (as well as the trailer theme) were both composed by her. She also composed some things for Bloodborne, such as Lady Maria's theme.
I want whoever composed Ludwigs theme to compose everything for every game for the rest of eternity
The single best track from a game OST since Gwyns theme
I really have no idea how no one went and told them that it was pointless and atrociously hard

Lady Maria's theme was great, but it got completely overshadowed by Ludwig's.
I liked OoK's theme. It was sad since OoK really is a tragic boss and it's a shame you have to put it down since it committed no crime other than existing
[editline]1st February 2016[/editline]
But still, he was fucking gross
the greatest crime of all
I still think my favorite boss theme in Bloodborne is Father Gascoigne's. I kinda wish that fight came later in the game.

Nobuyoshi Suzuki. He only made a single track from the base game, which was The One Reborn, but you can tell he wrote it.

Nah. His placement in the game was very deliberate and would not have worked at all if it were anywhere else.
There's actually quite a bit of evidence in the level design (and that perpetually locked door) that From intended the player to be able to access Cathedral Ward from Cleric Beast's arena. They most likely got rid of it to force the player to fight Gascoigne.

Yeah that whole area is weird, I don't know why they didn't make it open when the moon changes but even then it doesn't function like much of a shortcut.
One of the notes said it was blocked by the church when they burned down Old Yharnam.
Old Yharnam is strange because it's hinted that the burning happened before the events of the game but it seems like it recently happened since there are burning corpses everywhere

The only reason why I think it should have come later is because it's a very big oh shit moment. I feel like it would have had more weight if we had a few more beast boss fights before it, because it's then you find out that some of the bigger, tougher beasts are former hunters.

Didn't really have to make one right away. We still got a full page left and this isn't that fast of a thread.
