Well they're not excited to be a part of the stress test, they're excited because they get to play the game early.
I never thought people would be excited to be a part of a network stress test. With an expansion and a full game coming up, I thought that would be the focus
Well, we'll get to play a game we're all looking forward to before it's release. Of course we're excited. :v:
I'm gonna start pulling my hair out trying to get my PS4 controller working with Dark Souls. I've tried to outdated X360ce method as well as Imput Mapper. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Funny enough, I did the same thing a couple hours ago. Are you having trouble connecting it through bluetooth/by wire or is it just a mapping issue? I had mine connected to my computer with my phone's charging cable, and input mapper works fine for me. If it's a connection issue try using another cable, I had another cable I tried to connect it with that fit the controller's charging port, but it didn't register that the controller was connected in windows.

Works fine now. :hurr:
Anyone excited to try out Havel's Dark Wood Grain Ring of Favor and Protection?
I never thought people would be excited to be a part of a network stress test. So, I finally opened the door to the final boss in Dark Souls. Do I go in a murder spree and kill all the NPCs and bosses left before going there?

I didn't know the stress test got you access to the game early. I hope FS is done with dark souls for a while after 3, I want another armored core. Souls and Bloodborne may be difficult, by AC is unfair
IIRC, they said DS3 would be the last dark souls game, but they want to keep the formula for future games.
IIRC, they said DS3 would be the last dark souls game, but they want to keep the formula for future games.
Makes me wonder if Bloodborne will be a trilogy as well. Or Demon's Souls.
Makes me wonder if Bloodborne will be a trilogy as well. Or Demon's Souls.
I'm sure Demon's Souls is gone for good since Sony now have Bloodborne to mess around with. Didn't From say that they wanted to make a sort of futuristic souls game with laser swords and shit?

I could see a cyberpunk game like that where your deaths are explained as a copy of your conscious dying. Although SOMA has souls, bloodborne, and AC beat for hopelessness [editline]13th October 2015[/editline] Or a game that takes place in a dying virtual world and killing enemies frees up memory you can take for yourself
where was it that miyazaki stated he was interested in doing a sci fi game in the style of souls?
where was it that miyazaki stated he was interested in doing a sci fi game in the style of souls?
One of the interviews had it.
Predictably he was only talking very vaguely, but speaking to GameSpot he described Dark Souls III as a ‘turning point’ for the franchise. When asked if he’d thought of expanding the Souls series into other genres such as sci-fi, he said that he ‘definitely wants to bring the Miyazaki Touch to those genres, both sci-fi and Japanese mechs’. In fact he hinted at plans for ‘several new projects’ and that he wants ‘to work on something new’. Googled "Miyazaki Sci Fi".
One of the interviews had it. "mechs".
mech souls yes pls could be a new gundam game
I'm still sticking with what I asked for the next souls from before You're a space pirate that boarded a derelict ship to go lootin' and there's a lot of xeno scum so you gotta whip out your lightsaber ugs and get to purgin'
IIRC, they said DS3 would be the last dark souls game, but they want to keep the formula for future games.
I'd be extremely pissed if they don't make more pc though that'd also mean more shitty fps locks, unfortunately [editline]14th October 2015[/editline] I don't care how much I like souls-like games, I'm not paying 400$ to play them, because it's the only game on the ps4 that looks good at all, minus some few others spending that much for like 3 games would be inane (Bloodborne, Last of Us, Infamous)
IIRC, they said DS3 would be the last dark souls game, but they want to keep the formula for future games.
It won't be the last Dark Souls game, just a turning point in the series.

Although I'd still love to see the Souls formula combined with mechs, but with that in mind I dunno how you could keep the creepy atmosphere of Souls while stomping around in a stompy killer robot suit. I think I talked about it before, but perhaps the mechs could be for the "overworld", a form of protection from the titanic horrors stalking the countryside beneath a poisoned sky. The main areas would require you to get out of your mech and walk around in whatever hazard suit you managed to cobble together, dealing with smaller mutants and malfunctioning service robots. Though another thing I'd be all over would be having a Bloodborne game set in the 1930s, where you're a private investigator on the trail of a notorious cultist and you end up in the forsaken city of "Queensport", a version of Yharnam that looks more like an American city during the Great Depression, like New York or Boston or Chicago. With the Lovecraftian nature of Bloodborne, it'd be cool to see it step out of the Victorian gaslight and into the glum streetlights of the interbellum period.
Miyazaki already has done sci-fi. He directed Armored Core 4 and I think FA as well. Bloodborne is actually very similar to them because the combat is heavily dependent on dodging. You could go with a tank build in AC4 but it was a bad idea because eventually you were going to be killed by the enemy zooming around you and dodging your very visible, slower moving projectiles while all they had to was circle around you faster than you could turn(which is very easy since weight distribution matters in this game) and whittle away at your damage reducing shield then finish you off in one or two hits from something stronger if they felt like it since your armor is more of a timer of how long until you die if your shield doesn't recharge

Is SOTFS worth buying?
Is SOTFS worth buying?
if you have the DS2 dlc, your call. If you dont have the dlc, yes. Very Yes.
If you own the original I hear it's alright to upgrade but you don't HAVE to, where as if you haven't played Dark Souls II before, it's the better choice. That's what I've heard anyway, I wouldn't know the difference, only ever played First Sin, and it's fun.
I think SOTFS also has a bigger population. Last I checked base DS2 was completely dead.
