There's a gate ahead.
Oh. I have no idea. I'm playing this blind for the first time after playing Bloodborne so technically I'm still a DkS virgin :v: [sp]Asylum Demon was a cunt. And then I realised I could run to the left. I'm an idiot.[/sp]
As long as Steam co-operates I'll be in Dark Souls 1 again. Not sure what build to go with. Might do a Wall build, or maybe something 2-handed like Halberds.
Hey I think I found the perfect Dark Souls description Edit: Question (BB): Is it just me or does the Cathedral Ward boss [sp]Vicar Amelia not heal anymore? When I fought her she healed everytime she reached 60% and now when I watched my brother fight her she didn't heal once. Picked my lower level character and went to fight her and she didn't heal either. Did they remove it? It was her whole gimmick, the endurance test fight and such.[/sp]
The lower her health is, the more likely she'll heal. You and your friend probably just got lucky.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_gMG1oTusb_djBjY0FVWWJyNEU/view?usp=sharing this is a cheat table that'll let you fuck with which bosses are alive or dead, allowing you to infinitely replay them, taken from a bigger cheat table. Dark souls 1, needs cheat engine. open ds1 and hit "yes to all" when it pops up 0 chance for a ban, from software never has given a shit about cheaters in souls 1, not like you'll be playing it online anyways. [editline]13th September 2015[/editline]
I hope Dark Souls III makes playing lefty more viable. It's a joke in 1 and it's better in 2 but it bugs me how I can't backstab unless I have something in my right hand that isn't a shield.
I hope that they made the left side flawlessly the same as the right side AKA you can make it so you can parry with right or left with certain swords, instead of having no choice [editline]13th September 2015[/editline] 955294 soul memory at level 104 and I'm at brightstone I very rarely find summon signs of any variety these days, and only get summoned in certain areas I take it my SL/SM is WAY too low? :U I use the agape ring to only level in "Risk free" ways. [editline]13th September 2015[/editline] the only people I am summoned as a shade by are gank-tier beastlords but at least it doesn't take long.
Glad that Steamworks saves character files. Still had my one before the Londo Archer Bridge. Just got the Lordvessel so wheeeee~
does this give all their drops still? i'd assume so considering the game basically forgets you beat them; i might use this to get all boss weapons before ng+
It will make the game think the boss has not been defeated when you check the box next to it. Seems like bosses are marked as "0" for defeated" and "1" for "Alive, spawn it"
I forgot how atrocious VSync was on DS1. Switching to Windowed and then exiting BSODs on Windows 10's current insider build.
Shit. Didn't know this was here. Might as well copy/paste: Here's something that I found when playing with my second character. There was supposed to be a romantic subplot for the Hunter and the TRUE Iosefka. You only get it by using up 3 of her vials and getting the 4th vial BEFORE killing Gascoigne and/or finding the Cathedral Ward. Calling Doctor Love, I think my heart is broken. :wavey: [T]http://img01.deviantart.net/c936/i/2015/256/b/2/bloodborne_iosefka_romance_by_maddogsamureye-d99h5oy.png[/T]
So, in Bloodborne, the world that you spend all of your time in is not the real world, right? What is the real world like, then?
So, in Bloodborne, the world that you spend all of your time in is not the real world, right? What is the real world like, then?
It is real, but the Hunter's Dream isn't. The real "Hunter's Dream" is the Abandoned Old Workshop where you get the [sp]One third of a Umbilical Cord.[/sp] The dream was created by (not sure to tag spoilers but whatever it's still a few months old)[sp]Gherman with one third of a umbilical cord(where he got it from is unknown) to prolong his life and guide hunters to rid of the Scourge of the Beast in Yharnam created by the infant Mergo in the Nightmare realm. This unfortunately attracted attention of another Great One ie the TRUE final boss as a puppet to be rid of other Great Ones in a bid for power. In the Yharnam Sunrise ending, the town's back to normal with the exception that the Moon Presence is still around to create more Kin for NG+and whoever died during the long night stayed dead. Gherman's still alive too so the hunt continues again for another night. [/sp]
Oh wow that's actually adorable. [editline]13th September 2015[/editline] Why's the picture hosted on deviant art though?
It's my Da account. Didn't want to post on photobucket because I wanted to share what I found. I think more thorough players already know about this, but I just wanted to share. Edit: Got a few others like this. Will post them later. Edit 2: Based on my findings, I think Miyazaki wanted a legit romance for this game with the real doctor, but was cut at the last minute or just changed it to make people think that they could have an actual loving companion.

one of my biggest hopes for ds3: A faction or way to do 3v3 duels, in the same method as blue / red duels. this way you could hyper easily have all 6 players mutually dueling. Also, way more duel areas. Possibly a ring that allows you to set yourself to automatically be summoned to a world where you duel wherever you are located, or to be teleported anywhere else at random. it'd be cool if they made a faction that was even more fightcentric than dragon-bros [editline]13th September 2015[/editline] I hope that if they keep soul memory theres a setting to have it sort you by "Soul memory, soul level, or both" for multiplayer this way you can have either soul level based matching, or 'skill' based (which is the whole point of soul memory) then again, far better SM was totally cut out. It rewards people who plans their characters out with precision and have high skill too much. If you suck at the game you are matched with people who likely are more powerful. at least it does prevent you from being matched with people who have end game instakill gear at level 30, but agape ring lets people do that anyways.
Why not use simple image hosters like Imgur or Cubeupload?
Good question: Why don't I? :why: Turns out I forgot my login, but now I got it. Another pic from my 2nd character. This was taken because this one felt off. Why are there ships in the middle of a [sp]nightmare realm? More specifically, YOUR nightmare realm?[/sp] You can tell by the alofts sticking out of the "clouds". [t]http://i.imgur.com/G23WLYJ.png[/t] While I was exploring the Chalice Dungeons, I came across a familiar figure: Blood Jesus! :joy: [T]http://i.imgur.com/s9Zl41B.png?1[/T]
That is definitely a question, what the ships are meant to be there for. Perhaps they were the residual memory of the hardships the original colonists faced on the voyages over from the old country? Assuming that there ever was an "old country" and Yharnam is meant to be a gothic analogue to Boston or Arkham, but for all we know humanity in Bloodborne could have been in proto-Pthumeria from the beginning, uplifted from the beasts of the continent by some sort of Monolith.
It is all a dream[sp]= time is distorted v2[/sp]
i love it uses so many elements from one of the less well-known Lovecraft stories [sp](the Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath)[/sp], just goes to show how much less derivative it is than other adaptations of his work
Less well-known? I thought [sp]Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath[/sp] was known pretty well, even if not as well as The Call of Cthulhu, but everyone and their dog usually knows about Cthulhu even in they aren't big into Lovecraft. Speaking of [sp]Unknown Kadath[/sp], the "easiest" ending of Bloodborne does draw a few similarities to how the protagonist's adventure ended in that story, with the waking up to the sunlit city and all that jazz, except in Bloodborne the Doll doesn't put you on a byakhee and send it barrelling towards a sentient black hole.

[sp]with how people talk about his writing, you'd never think he'd written a straight-up fantasy story about an ordinary guy going on an allegorical and deeply personal adventure in a weird land, searching for his youth, evading moon beasts, and basically looking for the Wizard of Oz.[/sp]
Sounds like my kind of party.

Oh god, boner imminent Delicious new weapons, and a shield that doesn't suck? Very peculiar.
oh boy boy oh BOY
Knock yourselves out.
I'm heavy sweating, there are so many things that i'm loving in this.
How many new weapons were shown in that? Looking sick as fuck, the wait will be horrible.
I hope that in souls 3 enemies eventually stop spawn to a point when you kill enough, just like in souls 2, but ascetics should be dirt cheap and not level the area again, just cause them to respawn again this way you can also farm bosses as well, possibly. 5000 souls for an ascetic, 7500 for a bigger ascetic that also respawns the boss. Unlimited in shop rather than rare. This would be way better imho, allowing you to still be able to clear areas for pvp and backtracking. its gets dull to backtrack to an area you've been in literally 30 times by now and deal with enemies, or you want to pvp in an are but there are enemies still. It's kind of become natural for me to clear iron keep out for pvp for me. [editline]15th September 2015[/editline] actually, though, what else that maybe could ?work? Something just as rare/slightly rarer than an ascetic, only it works in the opposite way. Infinite by default, but use this in an area and they'll stop spawning after a certain number of deaths that, or it should only happen to really minor enemies like hollows, humans etc, and nothing else.
I think it was already confirmed that ascetics wouldn't be coming back, which would mean that enemies also have infinite spawns. Thank god.

Fuck limited spawns. And the biggest one - fuck once-per-playthrough enemies with unique drops.
