How can there be pre-order keys already selling for Steam if it's not even in the store yet?
That's what I was wondering, but if you give a starving college student the opportunity to save twenty bucks off one of his favorite series while he still has some semblance of money, I'm going to take it. Hopefully DS3's dlc is more like ds1's.
Odds are you're reserving a key and they'll send it once they have it. They're probably doing it to snatch some early sales since official pre-orders aren't a thing yet. Kind of shady, and you're honestly better off just paying full price for the game from a legit retailer if you can.
DS2 spoiled everyone with frequent bonfires. Bloodborne is more like DS1 where lamps are very scarce. Central Yharnam only has 2 lamps. Well, 3 if you count the starting lamp at the Clinic. [editline]derp[/editline] Also we should engage in some jolly co-op some time. :v: Trying to get back into Bloodborne lately so I can be ready for the DLC next month.
It's not so much that i'm spoiled by frequent bonfires but i can only really think of a couple of areas in DS1 that had this wide-spread of bonfires. And yeah, i'd totally be down for some co-op later :v:

There's only a couple lamps in Central Yharnam, but there are several paths that loop back to the main lamp.
And I thought the Old Iron King guy would be a dude
Well I suppose its pretty masculine.
I love ds2 but fuck me if I feel like the bosses ate a tiny bit too easy, the challenge can be solid at some but I dropkicked the shot out of fire demon guy. Maybe it's experience from demons souls and dark but the bosses feel less unpredictable. Still awesome design though and maybe the difficulty will spike up soon

Bloodborne - If you use a short root chalice bell and manage to coop with someone and they're in a chalice you haven't unlocked yet, you unlock that chalice right? I'm using password Fextra for unlimited level range (is there a bigger userbase password?) but still not getting any hits [editline]25th October 2015[/editline] Apparently it got patched. Fucks sake It would just be too easy and fun to make a new character and not have to go through all the premade chalices instead of the interesting ones now wouldn't it?
So how's the modding scene for Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition? I saw an HD texture pack and flora overhaul and that might be just what the doctor ordered for another excuse to play through Ds1 again.
Question about Souls 3. I've heard conflicting reports about the PC port being locked at 30FPS. Will it, or won't it? Because that's fucking inexcusable if so.
I got stuck. Thanks Bloodborne. :v: [editline]25th October 2015[/editline]
Question about Souls 3. I've heard conflicting reports about the PC port being locked at 30FPS. So yeah, it probably will be.
So Gascoigne has phantom range, can hit immediately during my wakeup and can stunlock me to death. Great. Amazing.
So Gascoigne has phantom range, can hit immediately during my wakeup and can stunlock me to death. Great. Amazing.
Better get used to it, 'cuz that's pretty much the whole game. Bloodborne doesn't play the same way as Dark Souls, gotta' learn to side step a lot. Gascoigne's just the first of many hunter's you're gonna' have to fight, and you'll soon learn he's actually the easiest of them.
So Gascoigne has phantom range, can hit immediately during my wakeup and can stunlock me to death. Great. Amazing.
Something that took me a bit to notice in Bloodborne: You can roll out of the prone position. A lot of bosses will punish you if you wait to stand up since you're vulnerable as soon as you can roll. [editline]25th October 2015[/editline] Bloodborne is certainly more OK with sending damage at you very fast. Between the faster pace and the regain mechanic, I think it balances out though.

I wonder if they intentionally made him ~edgy~ looking. Blood katana, pistol that shoots TWO bullets, and literally teleports behind you. These are all the things that make me think, "pssh, nothing personal kid."
So how's the modding scene for Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition? I saw an HD texture pack and flora overhaul and that might be just what the doctor ordered for another excuse to play through Ds1 again.
Aggressive enemies gogo
The console versions are indeed locked at 30fps and I believe they said they are planning to make it the same across all platforms. So yeah, it probably will be.
Please, sweet Jesus, no.
So Gascoigne has phantom range, can hit immediately during my wakeup and can stunlock me to death. Great. Amazing.
You aren't dodging enough, do it more. It seems like its unfair at first but you just need to get used to the fact that the game plays roughly 3x faster than souls.
Please, sweet Jesus, no.
DS2 was locked to 60 on PC, don't see why they'd lock DS3 to 30 after what happened with the port of the original Dark Souls.
DS2 was locked to 60 on PC, don't see why they'd lock DS3 to 30 after what happened with the port of the original Dark Souls.
Not the same devs, though, is it?
DS2 was locked to 60 on PC, don't see why they'd lock DS3 to 30 after what happened with the port of the original Dark Souls.
There were a bunch of issues due to some aspects of the engine being tied to framerate (the most noticeable issue were parry frames and durability). They might decide that fixing it at 30 is easier than addressing these issues. I'm hoping that's not the case though, 60fps souls feels so smooth and responsive.
Not the same devs, though, is it?
It's still made by From Soft and published by Namco. [editline]25th October 2015[/editline]
There were a bunch of issues due to some aspects of the engine being tied to framerate (the most noticeable issue were parry frames and durability). If the fps lock is as easy to fix for DKS3 as it was for the original than I don't really mind that much.
It's still made by From Soft and published by Namco.
I was under the impression that Dark Souls 2 was made by the B team of From, while the people under Miyazaki made Bloodborne.
I was under the impression that Dark Souls 2 was made by the B team of From, while the people under Miyazaki made Bloodborne.
There's two teams, but it's not like one is going to make a great port and the other is just going to ignore that and shit out another DaS PC port. That port was so bad because it was their first port, plus it only existed because of fan demand. Odds are DS3 is being made by the same team as DS2, in any case. It was in development before Bloodborne released, so even if staff came from the BB team along with Miyazaki when he took over the director role, it's got some of the same staff as DS2.
Aggressive enemies gogo
I'm not sure if I can beat the game if the enemies are singing hits from Wham. In all seriousness though I'm a tiny bit sad about the 30 FPS lock, but I don't think it'll affect my enjoyment of the game all that much.
i have to say, it really feels like the game is chugging on the ps4. ds3 i mean. when i played it, it was almost painful to deal with target acquisition and refocussing my vision after rotating the screen. it didn't feel like constant 30
