Should I really unlock the FPS? Those side effects sound scary and I am more than ok with a solid 30. It's the dipping and slowdown that's the issue.
There isn't any issue that I've seen aside from that 1 ladder under the dragon bridge. Aside from the FPS Unlock, the rest depends on your system. Keep in mind that Dark Souls 1 isn't optimized that well (Blight Town is best town) compared to DS2. [editline]26th October 2015[/editline] And I have over 200 hours into DS1.
Pressing backspace toggles a 30fps lock if you need to make a jump or something. [editline]26th October 2015[/editline] afaik gravity is heavily affected by fps

I guess I'll try that then, and tweak the options themselves more.
Well I fixed it, decided to keep it at a constant 30 FPS. 60 FPS made the game feel so sharp it was actually a little jarring. Thanks for the help all, now I can replay it with ease after I finish Dark Souls 2. [editline]26th October 2015[/editline] Say.. I was watching someone play Dark Souls 2 earlier and it's so different than the Scholar I'm playing. The Pursuer guy seems to be dropped off by a bird in a earlier area... keeping this in mind, which of the two versions of the game is more cannon than the other? Like, enemy placement is so important in DS1 it's hard to believe that the two games differ so much, seemingly haphazardly so.

The game was outsourced so that the original Dark Souls team could work on Bloodborne. You can consider them both like a fan-fiction since the original director wasn't involved.
The Pursuer guy seems to be dropped off by a bird in a earlier area...
If you're first entering the Cardinal Tower, there's an open area where the Pursuer is dropped off by a bird, as you've seen. This happens in both versions of the game, but only as long as you haven't faced The Pursuer on the roof / top of the area.

Literally made my many of the same people who worked on DS1 but in higher positions. It wouldn't surprise me if DS2, DS3, and Bloodborne had many of the same people working on them simultaneously, From Software isn't exactly a huge company.

A little more attention is paid to lore, and enemy placement in SotFS actually makes sense.
I honestly have no idea if infusing your weapons makes them better or worse
I honestly have no idea if infusing your weapons makes them better or worse
tbh I've used infusions on a character without INT and EVEN THEN it improves it (souls 2) if you have a firestone or faint stone, absolutely use it, it also goes through most shields / armor pretty alright magic stone / echanted is worthless in souls 2, but OP as hell in souls 1 if I did a STR build in souls 1, I absolutely would have at LEAST 20 INT and then just use a maxed out enchanted sword. [editline]26th October 2015[/editline] it depends heavily on scaling as well though you're scaling with three seperate things on most infused weapons. But if it already has S scaling it's not worth it. [editline]26th October 2015[/editline]
Should I really unlock the FPS? It's the dipping and slowdown that's the issue.
unlocking your FPS effects sprinting speed is a really dumb way at 15 fps you'll ACTUALLY run faster, 60 fps is barely slower, but at 144 fps you run slower than when you don't sprint at all I'd lock at like 45 or so [editline]26th October 2015[/editline]
Well I fixed it, decided to keep it at a constant 30 FPS. 60 FPS made the game feel so sharp it was actually a little jarring. [t]http://i.imgur.com/tPS0ICn.png[/t] I drew Maneater Mildred.
I still regret the day I laughed at her because I defeated her easily... Only to be carried by her in the boss battle.
My waifu is better than yours
Wait, what chest is that? If that's the Yharnam Hunter chest piece, then the difference in gear appearence between characters' sex is deeper than I thought
Wait, what chest is that? Its not your fault that you didnt notice. Its my hunter that makes it shine.
i was looking at some screenshots and was wondering what type of zones i can see. so far it looks like we got the castle that's been shown a lot, a giant cave, and a swamp area. [t]http://dengekionline.com/elem/000/001/100/1100866/darksouls3_004_cs1w1_1280x720.jpg[/t][t]http://dengekionline.com/elem/000/001/100/1100867/darksouls3_005_cs1w1_1280x720.jpg[/t][t]http://dengekionline.com/elem/000/001/100/1100868/darksouls3_006_cs1w1_1280x720.jpg[/t] and in some concept art there seems to be a ruined city with very different architecture and a giant palace in the middle. kinda looks like it's in the middle of a desert with the ground collapsed all around it. Much like optional zone in the third dlc from ds2.
Lets hope the desert zone doesn't have a sandstorm that stops you from looking around you. Much like optional zone in the third dlc from ds2.
It'll be a permanent sandstorm this time with no downtime and instead of ice-deer/horses it'll be sand-deer/horses but even more of them.

Man I hope this gets in.
doesn't look like it connects naturally to the map in any way, but miyazaki stated he wanted to do another 'painted world of ariamis' or 'cainhurst castle' type thing in dark souls 3 so this could be that.
The issue with imbued weapons is that they deal split damage, that means that it deals 2 types of damage with one attack. The downside with split damage is that the game will reduce the damage by both the physical resistance and elemental resistance of the target. So even if an imbued weapon might have a higher attack rating it will often deal less damage than a standard weapon. I made this image to show the difference: [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/34721652/splitdamage.png[/t] as you can see the lightning broadsword to the left deals ~120 damage less while the damage of the broadsword to the right is only reduced by about half of that Imbued weapons should only be used with buffs (buffs increase the elemental damage of the weapon), or if your melee stats are very low and the scaling isn't giving you much bonus damag, because the base damage is increased by a large amount if you imbue the weapon
It's really hit or miss with certain enemies. Like certain enemies could have a good resistance to a certain element, thus infused weapons of that element are naturally going to do less damage than a vanilla weapon, despite the infused weapon having a higher damage output. For example, my Fire-infused Grand Lance just destroys everything in Shulva with ease, but is noticeably way less effective in Brume Tower due to everything having a high fire resistance.
What upgrade system did you guys think was best? I always really liked Dark Soul's system because it let you play into your strengths but also let lower level character get powerful So as to not shit up the thread maybe just rate my post what one you prefer. Agree for Demon's Souls and the billion materials to farm. Disagree for Dark Souls and the OP lightning weapons. Funny for Dark Souls 2 and the ease of enchanting. Winner for Bloodborne and blood gems completely side stepping the system.

Being able to make a low level character using Chaos-ascended weapons is borderline breaking the game in terms of online cooperation.
So the lost sinner is basically locked up for crimes against humanity.. so.. who is the retard that gave her a giant broadsword? THIS IS WHY DRANGLEIC FELL. PEOPLE CAN'T DO ANYTHING RIGHT
