Izalith wouldn't be as bad if they hadn't pasted 500 dragon butts all over the place
The worst cut content is where they remove something but not the buildup to it, like with shiva being untrustworthy
That's how I thought of Nashandra. A lot of people said she was too easy to be the end boss but when you think about it, Nashandra's strength isn't her ability to fight, it's her ability to control and manipulate others. The entire game up till that point was a part of her boss fight since you were fighting past the the things she put in the way to stop you getting to her.
I'd say most of what you fight is for stopping her rather than her being behind it. You're basically the one being manipulated since you end up doing pretty much everything she asks, though its kinda badly implemented since you have to go out of your way to hear her tell you to do what you already were going to do anyways.
First playthrough of DaS, I put in the time to [sp]farm humanity, and got the sunlight maggot before getting to Izalith.[/sp] Praise the sun!
So I was dicking around with my [del]nuclear missile launcher[/del] magic build earlier in Dark Souls 1, when this dude invades me in the Painted World. I don't usually trust invaders, and nor do I have much shame, so I was prepared to spam [del]nuclear missiles[/del] spells and be done with it, when this dude in full elite knight gear, a claymore, and a knight shield comes fat rolling in. I give him a bow, and he bows back. I decided to give him a chance and I took it to pure melee. I won easily enough, it's not hard to aggressively poke someone who fat rolls.
But later he popped up again in Darkroot, as a blue phantom. To my surprise, this time he popped up in new gear, sporting some combination of Wanderer gear and Kirk's armor, and wielding a Balder side sword. He was fast rolling now, as well. He actually won by a hair.
I felt pretty good for that guy. It's refreshing to see someone adapt and try new things, and have it pay off for him.

I'm disappointed in how little blood echoes the player is earning through killing the enemies. I was hoping it would be a high level endgame area. And damn, this guy is fucking garbage. He's so bad it's making me angry and he leaves the messages up for too long, press X already motherfucker
Which weapon does more damage at 40 bloodtinge? Evelyn or Repeater Pistol?
Which weapon does more damage at 40 bloodtinge? Evelyn or Repeater Pistol?
I think even at 40 the RP out damages Eve. Besides it also costing 2 bullets, I'm not sure if there's any other differences.
Which weapon does more damage at 40 bloodtinge? Evelyn or Repeater Pistol?
Apparently the repeater pistol according to a stats calculator I just used.
I should have guessed since the Crow of Cainhurst is a fucking ridiculous bloodtinge build
Now I'm kicking myself for upgrading my Evelyn to max instead of the Repeater Pistol. So many valuable stones wasted. Chunks and Rocks are a bitch to get.
I ended up getting a lot of chunks my first run through the game. I don't even know why, I pretty much played it the same way the 2nd and 3rd time only my first run through, I went to hemwick charnel lane before I killed Amelia.
It's weird how much of the game is completely optional or hidden. Bloodborne really was at it's best when it just came out and nobody knew what the fuck was going on, what insight did, or what the hell any of the strange items did.
By the way, has anybody tried using beast roar to reflect the crow of cainhurst's bullets back at him? I want to know how much damage they do to him
I always have to resort to farming chunks in the Upper Cathedral Ward or through Chalice Dungeons because of how damn scarce they are. Though it's not as bad as only getting 4 Blood Rocks per playthrough, THAT's some bullshit right there.

[sp]Ludwig[/sp] is gonna give me nightmares holy SHIT! Like something out of John Carpenter's "The Thing".
Also, apologizes if I've seem like I never visit. I've hardly touched Bloodborne in preparation for the DLC and writing my Bloodborne short story for college. It's mostly done, with the last chapter on the way. The next short story assignment will be a continuation of the current story, with more emphasis on action and the death mechanic ala Groundhog Day or Edge of Tomorrow.
Man, just ONE desire for DS3.
Please. For the love of god. Do NOT.
Do fucking not.
Have Valley of Defilement Part 4. (Or Part 5 if Bloodborne did it AGAIN)
If that shit is in again, I'm officially concluding FROM's ran out of ideas. It was clever the first two times, now it's just a stupid gimmick level.

...So apparently the Planks,Poison&Fog thing has been going on since King's Field throughout its entire series and similar games and not just Miyazaki's games.
Fuck. That seals it.
I'm not an expert on the other Souls Games, but if this Valley of Defilement you speak of is a huge area with several poison-inducing enemies and some narrow passages thrown in the mix, Bloodborne got you covered with the Forbidden Woods, which is arguably the worst level of the entire game
I actually really like blighttown and valley of defilement, but I'd prefer a different style for a decrepit town other than just lots of poison and sludge.
I really hope that the expansion has a proper Moonlight Blade

I do kinda agree with not wanting a poison level.
For the most part they wind up being tedious as fuck since you've got to slow down even if you're a skilled player due to the sheer amount of stuff being thrown at you. There's no real clear cut strategy to get over those areas and even if you have a decent amount of experience with the area and know what's what, there's still a very good chance you'll wind up dying atleast once to something.
In a primarily skill based game, an area that makes things feel like you need luck to get through it is just awful.
As long as it's not that poison area like in Demon Souls, that's fair game. Fuck that place.
Bring back the Rusted Iron Ring while your at it.
I'm doing a first run through Bloodborne, and I've killed the Cleric Beast, the Father Concwhatever guy, and the Blood Beast thing in the big church hall. I know the first and last are optional, but after killing the church beast I'm stumped for where to go to progress. The one place I've been able to access is the Unseen Village, Yahar'gul, by being killed by a dude carrying a sack. Once there, I can't go anywhere except down a few steps and through a hole in the wall to some weird lightning boss that kills me instantly.
Save me.

Lets defeat the darkbeast.
Just extend your saw roll under the beast and start hacking. Chances are you're going to hit him where its hurt, and his lightning will be dowsed down.
Now, when he's no more sparky, he'll try to charge his battery. He will take a few jump back and start to charge. Just dash toward him at that time and wail on him, and his charging attempt will get cancelled.
He'll try again to charge his electric. And you're going to stop him again. Repeat that and he wont get the chance to be agressive.
Or you can find a lamp on third level, return to hunters dream, and go cry to your doll
I'm doing a DS2 sl1 run and it's suprisingly easy. Once you get the work hook you can wield any weapon below 12 str and 11 dex if you two hand it. Funny thing is the work hook stat requirements are too high, but its own +5 dex bonus makes it wieldable :v:
[editline]asdasdf[/editline]
Oh shit sl1 caestus run is possible. Do I dare?
how does having a hook for a hand make you more dexterous anyway
how does having a hook for a hand make you more dexterous anyway
because man door hand hook car door
Oh, speaking of the new DLC... few leaked shots from a magazine make me really happy.
