Ok so in Dark Souls 2 I[sp]killed the gutter denizen, an NPC red phantom, but died before I could pick up its precious loot.[/sp] Can I get it back somehow or did I fuck up bigtime?
It's just an effigy, which isn't a big deal in the long run. Unless it dropped an item too, in which case it was a +3 greataxe, which is easy enough to acquire and upgrade yourself. You did lose the stuff, but it wasn't anything irreplaceable.
Should I do Cairnhurst castle and Nigjtmare frontier before Byrgenworth? Any missables if I do Byrgenworth first?
Cainhurst is an entirely optional area away from the main game and is not affected by your main story progress. And it doesn't really matter if you do Nightmare Frontier first or not. By the time you reach Old Yharagul and defeat The One Reborn, the next step in progression is going to the student lecture hall, where you can reach the Nightmare Frontier. So basically by falling for Patch's trick of getting blown the fuck out by Amygdala, you gain access to Nightmare Frontier earlier than usual.
In SOFTS it's the [sp] Black Witches' set. [/sp]
He only drops one random piece from the set, though, so meh. And if you're really that worried, you can just burn a bonfire ascetic and fight him again.
What about Hypogean gaol? Is there anything that I should do before completing Byrgenworth? Also, that elevator in Hypogean gaol, where does it leas to? I can't activate it
What about Hypogean gaol? Is there anything that I should do before completing Byrgenworth? Also, that elevator in Hypogean gaol, where does it leas to? I can't activate it
If you can't activate it, either look around for a shortcut that's on the other side or come back later. If you want to actually know where it is(kinda major story stuff), [sp]it's a shortcut only accessible once the Blood Moon comes about and the area ties into the rest of Yahargul.[/sp]
better image the writing translates to "moonlight holy blade"
I need that. and this
In regards to Dark Souls lore discussion, why is it that everyone says Humanity and Manus and such are fragments of the Dark Soul and the Furtive Pygmy? Was it a bit of lore discussed in Dark Souls 2?
Darkstalker Kaathe [editline]5th November 2015[/editline]
He only drops one random piece from the set, though, so meh.
What about Hypogean gaol? Is there anything that I should do before completing Byrgenworth? Also, that elevator in Hypogean gaol, where does it leas to? I can't activate it
Don't worry about that elevator, you'll find out where it goes to later but you should complete Hypogean Gaol before you go off to kill Rom because the whole area changes when you kill him. And go to Nightmare Frontier before Cainhurst Castle. Cainhurst is a higher level because you get a lot more bloodchunks there but you can do them out of order, it's just my preference
I have now progressed to the Forbidden Woods place and have to beat those three ring wraiths. I am really enjoying Bloodborne.
I picked up bloodborne, never played a souls like game before, im in fucking love. Killed rom yesterday and now i'm at the martyr boss. It's so satisfying [editline]5th November 2015[/editline] The environments are amazing as well, really gorgeous.
now i'm at the martyr boss
My condolences
My condolences
? I thought it was a great boss, I had a lot of fun fighting him.
? I thought it was a great boss, I had a lot of fun fighting him.
He's basically one of those bosses where you get your ass handled to you even when you know precisely what to do Aside from that, he's a nice boss ... yes
All the bosses are incredibly easy once you know exactly how to fight them. I only get trouble from Rom(because a mistake can kill you) and the second to last boss if you ate the 3 cords because there is no strategy to beat him, just be a better fighter. The bosses aren't the hard part of the bloodborne, it's the bloodlickers and maggots also some bloodborne news
Hello, Bloodborne fans. The brand new nightmare, The Old Hunters expansion (which requires the full game), will be unleashed on November 24th. It brings with it a host of new content and improvements, but it’s not the only exciting news for Bloodborne. An upcoming patch will offer all players exciting new features in the original game, including The League, additional co-op NPC hunters, and more. The League is a band of Hunters who have taken an oath and are bound by a single purpose. By aligning yourself to The League, led by a mysterious figure in a constable’s garb and bucket helmet, you can assist other players online in the game and compete in The League’s online rankings leaderboard. In addition to The League, players will also be able to use The League cane and summon co-op NPCs within the game, perfect for tackling challenging areas and bosses.
I really like the look of the new covenant dude (Linked for spoilers)
You guys should really check this article out, it's pretty fucking good. Explains how every area in DS1 is interconnected and how incredibly accurate all their positions are. Watchdog of the Old Lords holy FUCK.

From the locations, to the way every item in every location means something to the lore of the game, enemy placements, etc, it's so perfect. It's so rare that a video game have the concepts of gameplay and story so flawlessly integrated.

I'm really hoping that's what we'll get.

It was more like Bloodborne, clean and accurate.

I'm playing through DS2 and I'm having fun but it just irks me that they didn't even attempt this sorta thing. Honestly it's my favourite part of DS1 is just how interconnected everything is. It also gives you a hint of where to go next, in DS1 I never felt like I didn't know what to do next, there was always someplace I hadn't fully explored yet, DS2 I'm continually lost and have no idea where the fuck to go.
Again, when will be getting an "remastered" version of Dark Souls? With a beautiful optimization and many videos options, the most perfect netcode, cut content restored and full mod support. I'm not asking much, right... Right? I want more Dark Souls in my life, Dark Souls II doesn't seem to feel like a good game with all those changes, I see more negatives things than positive. Also both Demon's Souls and Bloodborne aren't on PC to try them. So all I have is my precious and flawed but perfect Dark Souls.
so i finally beat bloodborne [sp] i guess i forgot to eat one of the umbilical cords, and i beat gehrman, so i got the wrong ending even though i had all the umbilical cords. just forgot to eat one. [/sp] i was banking on grinding AFTER [sp] gehrman [/sp], so now i dont even have a +10 weapon for ng+! the burial blade is pretty cool but i could only get it to +7, and i don't have any really cool gems. gonna be a tough run.

I don't think they realize the flood of dosh they'd get if they did a remaster of Demon's on PS4.
