I really like the look of the new covenant dude (Linked for spoilers)
He looks like the Bloodborne's version of Solaire It's my understanding you'll be able to use his covenant to summon friendly NPCs to help you out even if you don't have an internet connection? It would be really useful I haven't much interest in the leaderboards, honestly
Okay something weird happened. I defeated Rom vaacuous spider. On the way back to cathedral ward, i talked to eileen at the grand cathedral entrance. She looks hurt, but game me something, and said she wanted to rest for awhile. So i went in to fight the chikage hunter, but he's nowhere to be seen. Theres only blood rapture rune on the floor. I never seen him in that playthrough. Wtf happened? Where is he? I got all eileen gesture, defeated henryk and everything. Not to mention henryk gear does not appear in the shop after i defeated him.

Though it's weird that he would die on his own without you initiating the fight first.
I need that. and this
That looks like something out of monster hunter.
A Dark Souls 3 with the level/art/gameplay designs and PvE experience of Dark Souls with the multiplayer and UI elements of Dark Souls 2 would easily be GOTY. I'm really hoping that's what we'll get.
DArk Souls 3 combining all the previous games including Demon's Souls is what kept me interested. Granted, i haven't enjoyed Dark Souls 1 gameplay, but playing the 3 really shows how little improvements can alter your whole experience.
He's basically one of those bosses where you get your ass handled to you even when you know precisely what to do Aside from that, he's a nice boss ... yes
I didn't have that problem at all, it felt like a fair boss fight to me. Maybe I was overleveled or something, because I only lost once to him because I fell off the roof.
So i've been playing BB again after binging Destiny and i've been through and killed Amelia, the Hemwick Witches and i think another one and i'm not really sure to go from here. It's really a problem i've been having with this so far, i've no real sense of direction. Everything is so jumbled and pretty samey imo. Dark Souls had a pretty logical sense of progression and i just don't feel that with Bloodborne, maybe it's just me.

Like that's thr most incredibly vague thing :v:
What man at which window. Like that's thr most incredibly vague thing :v:
Apparently it's a FEATURE!
What man at which window. Like that's thr most incredibly vague thing :v:
Y-you're kidding...right? [editline]6th November 2015[/editline] The very first lamp you ever light after starting the game (or second if you died to the werewolf :v: ), there is an NPC at the window right next to it. You even hear him coughing when you walk up to the lamp.
To be honest there's 2 men at windows (Gilbert and the Narrow Minded Man) plus that weirdo that is able to teleport between all windows in order to give you the Tonsil stone
Yes, but the man at the Central Yharnam lamp is the only one who ever talks about going to the Healing Church, so I figured that would have been specific enough. [editline]6th November 2015[/editline] Yeah, Gilbert. I forgot his name lol
So, is saw cleaver worth enough to upgrade all the way? Its damage seems to be larger than its stats, and its one of the fastest. Will it be enough for bigger bosses and NG+ later? I do have Ludwig sword ready for emergencies.
Serrated weapons really destroy beasts so do it.
You guys should really check this article out, it's pretty fucking good. Explains how every area in DS1 is interconnected and how incredibly accurate all their positions are. [editline]6th November 2015[/editline] I never realized the abyss stays in the same area
you can talk to the demon who carried you up there and he and his buddies bring you back down to the ring of light
Are there other examples of game worlds connected like that?
Are there other examples of game worlds connected like that?
Mario Sunshine.

The extended mode lets you hit the weak points of amygdala and ebrietas with the overhead swing and if you tap R2 after a charge attack, you do a downward smash that will floor humanoid enemies(haven't tried it on anything bigger). It got me through NG+ with an arcane build. It's a very versatile weapon but you have to know all its tricks to use it effectively to make up for some of its shortcomings
Aggression mod and Anor Londo never stops being amusing
So I will be fighting Micolash. But before that, should I go after Ebrietas, or something other than him first? Amydala is out, paarl is dead
So I will be fighting Micolash. But before that, should I go after Ebrietas, or something other than him first? Amydala is out, paarl is dead
I'd advise to save Ebrietas for last, as to say facing her after Micolash and immediately before the next progression boss, who, depending on a last minute choice of yours, could be the proper final boss fight of the game
I see. If I wanted to fight all the bosses, what is the preferred steps. Don't worry about spoilers. Correct me, not sure if I get this right Micolash --> Ebrietas --> Mergo wet nurse --> ????
I see. If I wanted to fight all the bosses, what is the preferred steps. Don't worry about spoilers. Correct me, not sure if I get this right Micolash --> Ebrietas --> Mergo wet nurse --> ????
Right before Ebrietas there is another boss that is so pathetic it makes me sick, just so you know After fighting Micolash, you are basically at the end of the last area of the game, given that reaching Mergo's Wet Nurse from your last lamp takes ten minutes at worst After fighting MWN, you have to return to the Hunter's Dream and it's time to talk to a NPC and trigger the endgame. You want to clean up all the unfinished business (including visiting Ebrietas' place, [sp]Upper Cathedral Ward[/sp] and the other optional areas) as after all of this you are transported into NG+ (althought you can use NG+ to clear things you may have missed) The conversation with the NPC can end in three different ways for three different endings: - You can end the game on the spot without any last boss fight(s). There is a cutscene and then you'll find yourself on the bed of Iosefka's Clinic again and it's time for NG+ - By selecting the other option, you trigger the final boss fight. After defeating that boss, depending on a certain set of McGuffins you may or may have not consumed, the finale goes as following: A) If you consumed them, you trigger the very final boss fight of the game and then the game ends B) If you didn't, a cutscene kicks in and the game ends
So there's no way to explore the open world after defeating MWN? Damn If I want to go helping people fighting bosses, is it possible if I already defeat those particular bosses? Or do I need to spare the bosses life, like in Dark Souls? If the multiplayer is accessible enough, I might start subscribing to PSN plus

But it becomes immediately obvious what it is right after you beat her so the game won't end right when you kill her or if you choose to fight the NPC. You can choose to fight, die, then go on exploring and fighting the rest of the bosses then come back to fight when you feel ready. If you choose not to fight, the game will end immediately and put you in NG+
Streaming some Bloodborne on my BL90 NG+ character 'cuz why not. :B http://www.twitch.tv/nidbutt
So i have 30 strength and ~20 skill, 12 arcane, 13 bloodtinge. Saw cleaver seems to be plowing through everything. But people said that Chikage with 40 bloodtinge = ridiculous damage. But thats only on L1 trick mode. How about normal mode (which scale with skill)? Anybody tried it? How would it compare to saw cleaver with 40 strength?
