The $500 Miyazaki touch.
oh boy i've been waiting for those CEs
It's the Hunter with the whip in Bygenwerth, she has a big one where she raises her arms over her head and releases a whole ton of homing missiles and yeah you can circle strafe and dodge them but if even one hits me, i'm dead. It doesn't help that it's a small area and the camera works against you.
I just bait her to the balcony that Willem is on, and keeps on hitting her until she falls off into the lake :v:

Best way I could find to avoid being hit by that was to dodge towards her when the missiles release from her.

Are you fucking serious
holy shit
How high are the chances that the Old Hunters will introduce a carnival mask or something as a headgear?
The crow's mask is all good and well, but ...
My hunter is ready for the DLC
In theory, that could mean DS1 canon ending was light the fire and the original DS1 person is the new Lord of Cinder.
That's nice. Always thought the dark ending was kinda selfish but now it looks like the good ending turns you into a big, screaming, no-face burning giant! Great stuff.
The $500 Miyazaki touch.
What the fuck, $500? You get just as much shit in other good collector's editions (Skyrim, Uncharted 3, Dark Souls 2) for way fucking less. I was planning on getting that, but I guess I'll just go with the regular Collector's Edition. [sp]Unless that's also over $200[/sp]

I think the price is inflated by the statue since the bloodborne statues are hundreds of dollars
Jesus christ, the flame salamanders in DaS2 are literally the worst enemies I have encountered in any video game.
Logic would dictate that the enemy that has a high-damage ranged attack with a noticeable interval in volleys would require you to get close to them where they use a slow moveset that doesn't track well but still hits hard, or something along those lines.
Instead, they either rotate with insane speed and either miss their fireball volley, or scrape you off against the geometry and then hit you with the volley.
Then you get to the other ones, and it gets worse.
Instead of having a moveset that would allow you to enjoy fighting them, like a good enemy would, they have a moveset that cannot be blocked and has insane damage and tracking.
Now in normal DaS2, this isn't that big a deal because they're entirely optional.
But in SotFS, they're required to access the Old Iron King DLC. This has honestly made me utterly fucking despise DaS2 all over again, and I geniuinely wish suffering on the fuckstump that designed these fucks.
christ, I thought the heide knights were bad, but at least they have huge gaps where their ai just forgets how to attack.

[/editline]
Oh, apparently there also was a bug where their fireballs could clip through walls, but I don't know if that's been fixed or not.

are you dropping down into their area? I believe its easier if you take the door thats right before the last giant room

Done it from both directions, the only change is the ones behind the door before the last giant have less busted AI, because they actually use their melee attacks at all.

Went through the hole near the fire longsword and got it, killed the one there with throwing knives.
Is there only one way to get the drakekeeper's ultra greatsword? I've gone through 14 bonfire ascetics and the drakekeeper in the dragon shrine hasn't dropped anything. The other 2 drop at least something every time I kill one, but the ultra greatsword guy has dropped literally nothing.
joining the covenant of champions stops despawning you know
I didn't know that, neat.
I don't know if it'll matter though. Just burned 5 more ascetics and he still has never dropped a thing. I have all this item find gear on and I'm using rusted coins but haven't gotten anything.
[editline]11th November 2015[/editline]
Not even armor or dragon charms.
I'm using rusted coins but haven't gotten anything.
You poor soul. Rusted coins null all other item finding effects last I heard.
Well I only started using them. Only used 3. 18 of the bonfire ascetics were without the rusted coins.
This shit just seems bugged.
rusted coins completely override all item find so
don't do it
Rusted coins only increase your chance by 1% anyways, so they're effectively worthless.
So what's the best way to get black character tendency in Demon Souls nowadays? The game is pretty much dead from what I've gathered, but killing NPC's isn't really my thing, especially since you'll need them later anyways for Mephistopheles (which is why I want Black Tendency to begin with). Any place where invading is slightly viable or will I just have to kill some useless NPCs beforehand?

I believe if you kill yourself over and over again, it'll drop the world to black.

Yeah but that's the World Tendency, not the Character Tendency. World Tendency determines world events, while character tendency determines max HP in Soul Form and some other shit and is consistent across all worlds.

Oh I misread your post. I'm not sure about character tendency though.

Just kill the merchant NPCs in each world after buying what you want. Killing the crestfallen phantom in the nexus also moves you towards black if you still have him around.
What are the good spots for ganking in Bloodborne?
I was just got invaded in Byrgenworth, but I just 2-3 shotting him. Need more invaders

Nightmare Frontier and Mensis are nothing but constant invasions.

Isn't it funny how someone has to actually ask this because of how dead pvp is in that game? If it weren't for the bell maidens invasions wouldn't be stuck to only 2 locations in the whole game.
I don't think i really liked the Rom fight. Constant magic barrages while being bombarded by tons of small spiders and both the small spiders and the boss are effectively invulnerable on their heads? Seems a bit much.

Apparently Old Yharnam is the PvP zone

Yeah it is a pain in the ass since even when everything goes well, it's still not a fun fight even though the arena is pretty cool.
If you could make Rom kill her own spiderlings, then you at least get the satisfaction of watching her squash her underlings
My least favorite would have to be Micolash just because of how annoying it is to chase him around and if you die, you have to repeat the chase all over again with the constant AWOOOOOOOO
