I was really hoping there would be a way to reset your stats is the DLC
Also the Moonlight Sword's poke is great, the one when it is one handed, does a ton of damage and has almost no recovery time.
oh my god the[sp]Amygdalan arm[/sp]is SO COOL
I had no idea it was a strength weapon, I saw the name mentioned but I assumed it was Arcane due to it's name. So glad to finally have a club based trick weapon, and damn it moves so fucking weird
edit: That r1 r2 combo is so unreal, the animators really went wild with this one
I'm actually pretty annoyed there's no respec function in the dlc. I really don't want to have to create a brand new character for a slightly new playstyle.
I want so many Blood Rocks... why must they limit it to one per playthrough, whyyyyy :why:
I want so many Blood Rocks... why must they limit it to one per playthrough, whyyyyy :why:
It's technically 4 per playthrough if you count chalice dungeons.
I actually never did make any attempt to try the chalice dungeons. I got the impression it didn't really reward the player much, though gaining more Blood Rocks may be enticing on its own rather than having to playthrough the game countless times.
So far my only 10+ weapon is Ludwig's Holy Blade. I really want to go for the Amygdala Arm and the Moonlight Sword.
Ugh, PvP is still fucking unbearable in this game. No amount of patches and DLC's will fix the bullet spam, reduced health, and guaranteed gank spanks. Dark Souls 3's PvP is looking incredibly grim since they're following the same system.
Also, I'm not sure if being level 100 is viable for PvP anymore. Due to how matchmaking works, I'm pretty much always invading people who are at least level 140, and since they're guaranteed ganks I get put at a huge disadvantage right at the start. I don't know if I should level up higher or not. Maybe to at least 120 or something.

Hopefully either A, they required a summon to invade because they wanted to do as much stress testing as possible or B, they realize that that'd suck and make it so you can invade 1 on 1.

i wish chunks and stuff were available outside the insight shop
So yesterday I went to TV Tropes and checked if they added something about the DLC
They did. More precisely, they added some info about the first and the final boss of the Old Hunters in the That One Boss section
[sp]Ludwig[/sp] from the DLC is QUICKLY shaping up to be this among the players. Not only does he relentlessly pummel you with attacks that have huge hitboxes, prances around the arena escaping your blows, he has not one but THREE different ranged attacks/charges and one jump attack that's nearly impossible to dodge without very careful moving around. And if you think his aggressive moveset it bad enough, halfway through the fight he [sp]takes out the Moonlight Greatsword[/sp] and completely changes his behaviour, requiring you to dodge one onslaught of deadly attacks with different timing after another. Needles to say, he's even worse on NG+ which is when most players who were done with the game and started the DLC came to fight him.

[sp]Orphan of Kos[/sp] is the Final Boss of the DLC. And trust us, you will FEEL it. A Lightning Bruiser with a ton of health, swift and devastating strikes, ranged attacks, occasional Camera Screw, a fondness for mixing up combos to throw players off... It's an appropriately nightmarish fight. [sp]And it has a second form, turning all that aforementioned crap Up to Eleven.[/sp]
I'm officially scared
Lemme put it this way, I can't cheese [sp]Orphan of Kos[/sp] unlike the other bosses with my MLGS. He's just too damn fast and chaotic. :v: I thought having my damage output around 630+ would be enough, but the guy's a goddamn sponge.
Late post probably, but since SotFS upgrade is 90% off, would it be a worthwile purchase now if I've already played DS2 with all the DLCs too?
Yes. Scholar is the definitive DS2 experience. I can't speak for the DLC, since I didn't play them for the original version of the game, but the main game has enough enemy and items changes to make it worthwhile playing through again. A fair bit more challenging too due to increased enemy count and more nefarious placements.
I'm currently getting bodybagged non-stop by the 2nd of the [sp]giant fish men down the well in the fishing hamlet.[/sp]
The diving flail attack is such bullshit

this is fucking retarded

What the fuck kind of unholy abomination have I become
being a cauliflower is nice but the damage is way too low for how slow the attacks are
[t]http://i.imgur.com/1k5tsDU.jpg[/t]
I swear the AR has to be lying, cuz the numbers I get in my stats menu are WAY too low for an S scaling in Arcane. Perhaps it's a multi-hit or something?
[editline]27th November 2015[/editline]
Okay, the stats are definitely lying, 'cuz my Parasite +6 is dealing just slightly less damage than the Amygdala Arm +6 and the difference in stat numbers is like 90 to 260.
Also wow, that explosion L2 has some good reach, it's basically a WotG. It hits multiple times and you get hyper armor while using it so you can't get staggered out of it.

What are these thinga that transforms you beast and/or hentai tentacles?
What are these thinga that transforms you beast and/or hentai tentacles?
Beast's Embrace Caryll Rune transforms you into a beast while the Milkweed Caryll Rune transforms you into a kin. Each one offers special bonuses to certain weapons while providing their own passive rune effect.
For example, Beast's Embrace gives the Beast Claw an entirely new moveset while Milkweed makes the Kos Parasite a functional weapon (can't be used without it).
Are they regular runes or Oaths though? And do the effects stack, even if the transformations don't?
Are they regular runes or Oaths though? And do the effects stack, even if the transformations don't?
They're covenant oaths, so you can only wear one at a time.

Makes sense. Imagine running around as a fuzzy, clawed octopus.
the big fish are dicks

I have to say, if that's all there is to the [sp]Kos Parasite[/sp], I am disappointed
Forgive me because I may be retarded.
So I have a blood gem that gives Phys ATK UP+20%, and ATK vs the kin DOWN-10%
am I crazy or does this have no downside? I'm getting +20% damage on everything except Kin, but wouldn't the 20% make up for the 10% deficit and still give me an overall damage boost against Kin aswell?
So are the kin just all the enemies that aren't hairy?
So are the kin just all the enemies that aren't hairy?
To my knowledge, basically. If it's got more than two eyeballs, it's probably Kin.
Or tentacles.
I had less trouble against [sp]Orphan of Kos[/sp] than fucking Ludwig. This shit makes no sense. Although I'm having a hell of a hard time against [sp]Laurence[/sp]
[editline]27th November 2015[/editline]
Also I probably won't ever get the Rakuyo swords. Having to kill not 1 but 2 of those fish giants? Fuck that.
I'm starting to think that since the Church has been trying to evolve humans, beasts are where they fucked up and made them regress into animals.
