Not a fan of this Final DLC boss.
No I mean I assumed it was a nightmare of a previous hunt. Like it's someone's recurring dream of what happened in the past, only it's not a 100% recreation like how the dreams in Inception were based off real places but all woven together into something new
It's a nightmare, as in something Hunters would be horrified by. Beasts out during the day, hunters fighting each other, the Church's insanity in full view, a literal river of blood being sucked up by bloodlickers, and hunters killing each other. And that's just the first area. The nightmares aren't based on the past, they're an alternate realm where the fears of those who dreamed them are realised. Assuming Bloodborne goes by H.P. Lovecraft's thing of dreams being physical places you go when you sleep, which I think is a safe assumption based on all the other Lovecraftian shit that happens.

The real one would have waited until morning to meet you but NOooo, she had go turn into ET. Plus [sp] she's about to give birth in that pose until you kill her for a cord. BLARGH![/sp]

Although you're probably right. In the regular game, the church already fucked up or they succeeded if you believe that the celestial larvae in the upper cathedral ward are ascended members of the choir. Also Ludwig is now a fucked up monster so it makes sense that the strongest hunter becoming one of the monsters would be one of the worst things that a hunter could imagine since it means that not even the strongest of them could succeed. Yharnam has been in an apocalypse for a while when you show up as evidenced by many enemies being rotten corpses but things aren't over yet. It's hard to see how Yharnam would recover from rivers of blood and thousands of corpses everywhere since things didn't get that bad in the game or they learned how to deal with hunts since there are chained up coffins everywhere to keep the dead from coming back and I don't recall seeing any in the hunters nightmare(although I wasn't looking).
While it's fresh on my mind, here's something interesting about the League Staff item (spoilers just in case).
"The League staff is the sign of a confederate. A directory within the hilt lists the names of fellow confederates. Members of the League brandish this staff to indicate themselves to fellow members of the League. [sp]There shall be no sympathy for those engaged in the bloody mission of the League. No matter that an oath must be taken to uphold the illusion. "[/sp]
Does this mean that [sp]The "Vermin" we kill are merely illusions that "The League" members only see, and that Valtr is really bat-shit insane like Corporal Stars and Stripes from Kick Ass 2?[/sp]

Vigor is a pretty good one to focus on :v:
So yersterday a friend came over to my house and witnessed my female Bloodborne character He then offered to make one for me, in his own words "something presentable" Here is the result [t]http://i.imgur.com/YSnovH6.jpg[/t]
Eh, think I'm done with Bloodborne for quite a while. This game has no replayability since the botchy PvP isn't worth the time in this one. Back to Dark Souls II for me. :v:
Turns out the best way to beat Micolash is to play the Benny Hill theme the whole chase.
Apparently you can parry the Transformed Beast Claw (With Best rune in) L2 attack which is a roar.

I've started navigating the Old Hunters as a level 140 skill/arcane character. This may be the reason I've been finding my enemies a bit underwhelming Till I met [sp]Ludwig[/sp], that is I have to say, maybe it's due to my high level and NG+ will give me a run for my money, but I found him a bit easier than expected His first phase is basically Dark Beast Paarl attack patterns along with Ebrietas' infamous charges His second phase is actually far easier than the first save for that fucking huge AoE attack I'm also considering using his weapon, but I wouldn't like to become SCUM.
140 is way overleveled if you're not in NG+ i think.
Farmed enough Cursed Nourishing Damp Blood Gems in chalice dungeons that I managed to boost the AR of my Amygdala Arm from 470 to 564. Damage is still kinda underwhelming against real players but at least it's a little better than before. Man that took like 3 hours of work.
What's a good level to enter NG+
Its funny how bloodlickers are a nightmare for the hunters :v: And dogs
So how are you supposed to use the amygdalan arm? Un-transformed it's just a club that smashes downward and my kirkhammer does that better
So how are you supposed to use the amygdalan arm? Un-transformed it's just a club that smashes downward and my kirkhammer does that better
The club version is a much faster attack though.
So far I've only used the boom hammer and amygdalan arm and while really cool weapons, I'm not a fan of their movesets.
Fuck me, everyone on the fextralife wiki are commenting that From Software should "nerf" ALL of the DLC bosses because apparently it's too hard on NG+. The salt is everlasting.
I've only fought ludwig but IMO the only boss that is seriously bullshit is Ebrietas and that's only because of her nearly impossible to dodge charge attack
Right, I hit the lever in the[sp]Research labs to move the staircases and I've defeated the Failures and Maria, but now I can't for the life of me figure out to get back up to the rafters, I know I left some items up there[/sp] edit: specifically from floor 5 to floor 6 it seems edit2: scratch that, I'm a moron. You can literally walk around the side on floor 5. Oh wow, looks like I've never been here before
I lost 3 summoned buddies to ludwig(and $8 buying PS+ for 3 months) and the other 2 Ludwig killed me in one hit. Does Ludwigs semen kill you or does it just knock away health? He knocked me a pixel away from death with it like moon presence
In the end today I kinda tried to sith through the whole DLC and finished it The Old Hunters is a bit more straightforward than the base game, so I was able to interact with all the NPCs and got all the weapons and (I believe) nearly all the stuff too The three new areas you get to visit are incredibly nice, with my honorable mention going to the last one, [sp]Fishing Hamlet[/sp], because I always believed this game could had used far more "The shadow over Insmouth" references As far as new weapons and tools are concerned, there is something for everyone and every build. As a skill/arcane character, the Blacksky Eye is a charming new spell that can make enemies stop in their tracks, but the weapon you can get after the Clocktower, the Rakuyo really means business, because it's basically the Blade of Mercy with superior range and damage output, and unlike the former can be enchanted The quality of the new boss fights is a bit inconsistent, though [sp]Ludwig[/sp] and [sp]Orphan of Kos[/sp] are legitimately hard fights, with the former having two phases and being overall really aggressive and the latter having nasty counterattacks all around and being extremely hard to parry The other bosses, though? Not so much [sp]Laurence, the first vicar[/sp] is basically the Cleric Beast ... on fire, only a bit more aggressive and with an annoying tendency to spray fire all over the place [sp]Living Failures[/sp] are basically the Celestial Emissary, only there are few of them and they can pull off a new magical attack (it's very easy to dodge, though) [sp]Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower[/sp] would be a nasty boss if you wouldn't be allowed to parry all [sp]her[/sp] attacks in any of the three phases
oh man, Dark Souls is pretty fun After I gave up on setting up my old controller and purchasing an Xbox360 gamepad, I finally took a stab at the game. I cheesed the Taurus Demon, I can't wait to see what else is in store
After 10 tries and gripping my controller tight, I beat the Bloody Crow of Cainhurst. (the Cathedral Chikage Hunter) No poison knifes, no cheese, just timed visceral attacks+Vis. attack Rune and careful use of the Beast Roar and Old Hunters Bone. I need a freaking chill pill. Off-topic Head-Canon: Am I the only one who thinks that if the Cainhurst Hunter was unmasked, he'd have a face similar to Sir Chirstopher Lee? We already have [sp]aliens[/sp] and werewolfs, why not throw in Dracula into the mix?
The buffed Auger of Ebrietas is hilarious. Backstabbing with tentacles all day.
