[sp]Orphan of Kos[/sp]is starting to piss me off. [sp]especially his second phase where some of his attacks do such obscene damage. Tried the blunderbuss and the pistol to parry some of his moves but I can't do it reliably at all so it's back to just chipping him down and praying I don't make a mistake. I'm trying that Loch shield now as well[/sp] edit: nope, didn't help one fucking bit. That move where he flies and throws shit hits me every damn time. This boss is un fun as fuck. It's official, I've lost my patience completely and now can't get past his first phase edit: got stuck on a twig. FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK THIS GAME edit: I GOT HIM HAHAHA. fifth try [sp]stupidest boss I've ever seen. The way he mashes his weapon into the ground in his second phase, I've never seen anything so retarded. Did his health really have to be so high as well? It's sad since his intro was so cool and his moves look great, but some of the hitboxes (like that single projectile move) were some real bullshit sometimes. I feel like I killed him out of sheer luck rather than any actual skill (see: Lady Maria) seeing as he was attacking so frantically he completely missed me[/sp]
Loch Shield is really only useful in that fight when he summons the ridiculous lightning AoE. The shield blocks like 90% of the damage.
Haha yeah no, I've just reached an all new level of rage with this cunt[sp]Laurence[/sp] [sp]How are you even meant to respond to his second phase? He travels so fucking far with his giant arm swings. Second try summoning Valtr and miraculously I get him down to 20%, so I play it super safe and do hit and run tactics. I get caught out in a corner as he begins his clawing forwards move and it annihilates me inescapably after the first one connects[/sp] edit: can anyone explain to me why a boss needs a 6-hit combo with AOE that reaches halfway across the room and hits for insane damage even though the boss looks like it's lying on the ground? Also two moves where he uses his left arm only one time it's fast and one time it's slow so if you dodge correctly it's like 50/50 chance you'll get hit anyway? edit: Victory. I get fucking angry almost instantaneously if I feel I've lost unfairly. Why, after[sp]his legs pop off, does his overhead slam track so insanely? Why does his crawling move hit if you're under his chin? Again, I feel unsatisfied with this boss, which is a shame, since I enjoyed all of them apart from the orphan of kos[/sp]
Exactly why majority of Bloodborne enemies need something dumb to instant kill you.
You know who [sp]Ludwig[/sp] reminds me of? You guessed it. :v:
One thing I figured out while trying out the DLC is that the Wolf-beasts that reside in the nightmare don't attack you at all. Even without a torch, they will react to you by backing away covering their faces or crouch on the ground making whimpering noises. They will only attack you once you back them into a corner. The hunters absolutely slaughter them, with the occasional rebel. It's fucked up, like you're killing innocent...wait a minute...
There's nothing more horrific than a hunt. In case you've failed to realize...The things you hunt, they're not beasts. They're people. One day, you will see...

You know who [sp]Ludwig[/sp] reminds me of? I'm still in the Band of Hawks arc, but I already know what happens.
berserk is the best so probably
So I have the moonlight greatsword at +5, but I wanna get that beutiful fucker up to +10 I have pretty much no upgrade items cuz I used them up on other stuff like a moron. I'm about half way through in ng+ and have done a ton of chalice dungeon stuff. What's the best way to get the items I need to upgrade my weapon?

I keep deciding that I want a different weapon after the fact that i've upgraded one to nearly +10 and eventually reroll a character. I keep my characters around level 43 and do depth 5 dungeons for the gems then do some low level pvp
I've never seen anyone praise Bloodborne for this but I really love the art for items [editline]30th November 2015[/editline] What is up with all their games being so bleak and hopeless? It's more grimdark than 40k and on par with Soma
Bloodborne is the only one actively making every single thing grim and miserable. in dark souls everyone is chipper and in a good mood despite it all
berserk is the best so probably
Someone needs to make a Bloodborne version of this. :v: I'd do it myself if I had time.
Bloodborne is the only one actively making every single thing grim and miserable. in dark souls everyone is chipper and in a good mood despite it all
That's because you haven't played Armored Core. in FA you get 3 endings: 1)You billions of people for no reason 2) You kill billions of people but now corporations don't control the path to outer space 3) the only hope for a humanity free from the control of corporations is destroyed by you and you killed millions of people to get there anyway. 4 ends with your colony destroyed by the closest thing you had to a friend because he wanted to see once and for all who the strongest pilot is. in 2 and Silent Line all you do is strengthen the control of the corporations that rule mankind. Their games are bleak and hopeless as fuck but in a way where it's not depressing but they only know how to write grimdark(not that it's a bad thing)
That sounds hardcore. I might have to play AC.
Play Armored Core and you'll be amazed at your own ability to survive hose bullet hell, while instictively fighting a whole mecha army, not to mention op alien technology tested againts your measly robot. You'll not even notice the dump that is AC world
Hopefully another Armored Core is in the cards at From Soft after DkS3. Bought Old Hunters, now i need to go through the game to get to that point.

The last thing I want to do in Bloodborne (there aren't any more DLCs planned, am I right?) is to waltz through NG+ as quickly as possible to face the DLC in the new mode I'm currently level 150, do I stand a chance? I'd really like to get in as soon as I defeat Amelia
I bought myself the upgrade Scholar of the first sin for 2.50 on Steam and want to restart after playing through the game as Bandit(?) or Warrior. Don't remember anymore but used greatswords all the time. Is Sorcerer or Dual Swordsman any fun?

What is that closed door in the left segment of the cathedral ward? Yknow, the one that is next to a treasure chest. I'm at the endgame, but that door can never seems to be opened. When interacted with it says 'closed'

It connects to the Cleric Beast bridge but never opens for whatever reason.
I have to say, [sp]Yamamura[/sp] from the Old Hunters DLC may be the saddest part of Bloodborne for me This hunter from a far eastern land came to Yharnam to reclaim his honor by hunting a powerful beast and joined the League However, by the time you find him, he has gone completely mad and has been locked in a cell, reciting a madness mantra endlessly. Even when you get the proper key the only way your character can interact with him is killing him and get his stuff
I forgot the Augur of Ebrietas is now a thing thanks to the patch :v:
Did they do anything to A Call Beyond?

If you have the patience to get one of those to a high level and optimal equipment, it'll be an amazing glass cannon. Yes, I know, offensive miracles did get nerfed into the ground for some reason, but it does still work. I'll post my build when I get home from work if you want. Other option is 40/40 with an estoc. That is also beastly, and will give you much more up front than a cleric.
I like going for a spellsword build myself. Ultra GS with Magic Weapon for mobs, Great Magic for bosses and Soul Greatsword for a bit of extra damage. You could also apply it to a Dex build with Magic Shield if you wanna go for parrying with some blocking potential. Also helps buff damage with weapons like Longswords.

You could purchase some shards or chunks in the insight shop if need be if you don't want to put the effort into grinding for more of them.
Did they do anything to A Call Beyond?
Nothing changed since 1.04 for what i see.
