wow dasii is really yellow
What's the SM ranges like for the DLC in the upgraded version? I'm at 1.44m and haven't really been seeing any summon signs for a while, should I use the Agape Ring before I hit the DLCs?
Most people new to the game reach around 1.5-2mil by the end of the game, excluding DLCs. I think you're in the right range, but if you're still unsure you could try bumping up your SM to around 2mil or less.
I tried out the new DSMODT, and replaced the claymore and zweihander meshes with a couple of unused ones. Oh, and ignore the weird nvidia watermark, had no idea it was on when I recorded. The potential of these tools is pretty amazing. And apparently replacing meshes for armor is on its way too. Finally we'll be able to actually use the Bear and Undead King set.

[editline]20th September 2015[/editline] ds1 is severely deserted

Thread almost reaching page 2? Can't let that happen! Deploying emergency content.

Dark Souls is 4 years old today, woo
:toot:
EDIT: DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVENT BEATEN DS2, spoiler tag won't work :( [s]Didn't realize I was killing the final boss in the throne of want, I thought the whole point of the game was to kill the king lol. Boss went down in like 30 seconds because I had 3 sunbros helping out. Thought I could skip the credits by alt-f4ing. DO NOT try that. [/s] [editline]22nd September 2015[/editline] Also I'm kinda sad in ds3 it doesn't really look like the spear has any other attacks besides stabbing :( I know that's what a spear is for but a little variety would be nice

That model swapping thing has me real excited. Can't wait to use the Fluted Armor and do other model swaps and turn Dark Souls into the poor man's Demon's Souls
You know after the final boss you can keep playing before ng+
Dark Souls is 4 years old today, woo
Why does it feel much older?
You know after the final boss you can keep playing before ng+
Yes but right from the start again. If you had other stuff you still needed to do like the DLCs you have to get all the way up to that point again.
Yes but right from the start again. Once you done with Nashandra you get warped back to Majula and have to manually start new game.
While Bloodborne isn't as replayable as Dark souls coming back to it after a couple months and starting another play through is still great.
While Bloodborne isn't as replayable as Dark souls coming back to it after a couple months and starting another play through is still great.
What makes Bloodborne not as replayable?
What makes Bloodborne not as replayable?
The fact that it has less stuff in it.
What makes Bloodborne not as replayable?
Fewer weapons and very little "magic" means there's less build diversity.
What makes Bloodborne not as replayable?
Until you get to the later stages of the game there really isn't much diversity to how you build your character, the dlc is adding a ton of weapons so hopefully that will help.
I'm surprised that lately I've had actually good experiences with being invaded in DaS2. Although it could be that I have spent a lot of time watching videos on DaS2 PvP and listening to tips on combat and also trying to make my own conclusions on the psychology behind the combat in Dark Soul's. Or maybe I have just been invaded by crappy players as I have won the majority of my recent PvP fights in DaS2. As the only player whom really handed my ass over to me was one using very sweeping hexes. But at least it reminded me of this golden oldie: Watching videos on Bloodborne's PvP; I'll have to say that it looks pretty bad. It seems like it's too fast and frantic for players to employ strategy in combat. So every PvP fight appears to consists out of both parties dodging around, flailing and shooting at each others and then having a little breather for injecting blood and then keeping up that cycle til either one dies.
What makes Bloodborne not as replayable?
Like the others said there's relatively few weapons compared to Souls, and you're also locked into the fast and dodgy playstyle, as there's no heavy/medium armor. It's much closer to an action game than Souls.
after 400 hours you kind of realise that nothing really gets better than what you can get from lenigrast
after 400 hours you kind of realise that nothing really gets better than what you can get from lenigrast
I hope DaS3 will have Estoc. Also hope for it to stay a STR thrusting sword.
i'm fighting my way through dark souls 2 and iron keep as truly fucked me not only do the archers have arrows that can curve but they decimate half my health in one blow and they've got good timing since it's exactly when I'm trying to parry one of the alonne knights is the longsword a viable weapon for most of the game or should I actually try and use other weapons beside the longsword and mace

Try to snipe them using a bow yourself once you've pulled the first Alonne knight and killed him. If you use the walls as cover you should be able to do it.
So my favorite Demon's Souls build is probably my current one. A heavy armored mage build who uses the Flamberge and heater shield. Mainly that build is my favorite because of the armor I have: It just looks fucking awesome all together [editline]23rd September 2015[/editline] Man Demon's Souls is just like my favorite game ever I don't even know why, the later games expand on it's mechanics and are arguably far better. Something about Demon's Souls's charm and atmosphere just get me and makes me want to play it again and again
Its the atmosphere and level design, and the fact that it contains the most nods to Berserk of all the souls games.
Its the atmosphere and level design, and the fact that it contains the most nods to Berserk of all the souls games.
Eh I don't really care about Berserk so
