Not when you have 1800+ HP like me. :v: Worth it when I can slap people's shit silly in like 3 hits. Not like he can avoid it anyways since he's gonna' have no choice but to put on these kind of blood gems if he really wants to maximize damage.
Yeah and three hits is pretty much all you'll get with that hella durability debuff.

He can farm for the +27% gems that give -10 or 11% to kin/beasts and there's runes that are very similar to the damage bonuses on those runes you showed but without the horrible drawbacks.
Beasthunter saif is ridiculous in pvp. I invaded some guy and used the messengers gift and 2 guys just walk by me while one of them looks right at me and he stunlocks me to death

Swings slightly faster than the saw cleaver and has those gap closers.
So me and a kind co-operator named Zelda finally beat the Orphan, on our second try together. We cheesed the second phase with me using the Bowblade and him/her using the ranged MLGS attacks. Oh i'm all shaky now. If i kill this shadowy macguffin and finish the DLC, will i be able to come back? [editline]12th December 2015[/editline] Now that i can actually analyse Kos [sp]or as some say, Kosm[/sp], i can see that she's basically a mermaid. Humanish face and upper body with wibbly slug bottom bits. [editline]12th December 2015[/editline] Welp, i killed Sweet Child of Mine by accident.
You can slay the nightmare and stay in the DLC, it won't end it like the final boss of the base game does.
Cheers, the DLC areas are pretty decent for co-op, so i'm glad. Also holy shit i just cheesed Gerhman so hard with the Bowblade. He only dodged maybe five times so i melee'd through most of his first phase and just stayed on the other side of the arena from him, pelting him with charged shots, easy as pie.
Yeah and three hits is pretty much all you'll get with that hella durability debuff.
The durability doesn't even wear down that fast when it's at 250. Not to mention I warp back to the Hunter's Dream to restock after every 3-4 invasions or so, so I never run into a weapon breaking issue. I'll need to take a look at him again.

Y'know i've been thinking. Miyazaki handles the eldritch horror and despair really well, and Warhammer 40,000 is all about eldritch horror and despair. So like, i really don't think i'd mind a Soulsborne styled Warhammer game at all. In fact i think it'd work really well.
a soulsborne style Warhammer game would probably involve you playing as a IG and dying over and over again.
Not playing an Aspect Warrior combating the horrors of Slaanesh and Commorragh in an attempt to preserve your Soulstone? Also, Watchdog of the Last Lords is an awesome fight but damn if it isn't hard. I keep falling for his attack where he bites his side, always dive the wrong way and get a face full of eldritch lava-crocodile head.
a soulsborne style Warhammer game would probably involve you playing as a IG and dying over and over again.
I was thinking Guardsman could act as the Deprived class. Marine as Knight, Assault Marine or Eversor as Warrior, Psyker as Sorceror, it'd all fit fine and with Dark Souls 3 going for the speed of BB with the methodical weight of Souls, it'd be perfect.
I don't think warhammer souls would work very well since warhammer is about massive armies. The closest we'd get would be like Space Marine, but that's more similar to a character action game.
so I've been (re)playing Dark Souls 2 for a good 55 hours now and I've gotta ask: is armor legitimately useless? I've tested. I put on 100 poise and I still get stunned by pretty much everything and everyone. I put on the Giant's Ring and it makes literally no difference. I put on a set with insane resistances and I still take very significant damage when I get hit. It only seems actually worth wearing when it's got high spell or status resistances, but other than that it seems very, very weak. Armor also reduces how far you can roll due to the equip burden system. You're not taking any significant reduction in damage, you're not gaining any significant increase in poise, you're pretty much handicapping yourself. Even knowing this I still feel like using it 24/7 since the sets look cool, but wow. I really hope we go back to the Dark Souls 1 poise system for PvE atleast. Maybe make it so that all poise damage is doubled in PvP or something. No animation set changes makes it lose a ton of identity, plus how ridiculously weak it feels, atleast AFAIK, makes wearing armor really pointless.
tl;dr yes armour is useless for the most part, play fashion souls and don't get hit
Damn [sp]Lady Maria and Laurence[/sp] are kicking my ass and draining my inventory, and I'm loving it! I actually made it my goal to not visceral attack [sp]Maria[/sp] to up the difficulty, and boy am I half regretting it.
tl;dr yes armour is useless for the most part, play fashion souls and don't get hit
That just sucks so bad man. I mean, I hit 110 agility with every single character I've made thus far because the game is legit bullshit without it, but wow. Not only thinking it but writing it and reading it out now is just wow. It doesn't help that if you try to go for that good ol' knight fashion souls your rolls get cut in like half. I really hope we get our style back for DS1.
sorry but how is the game legit bullshit without 110 agility? 90 agility is plenty and you with a bit of effort you can probably finish the game with base agility
Dunno about you guys, but I manage to get a very nice fashion souls costume and have enough defence to not die in 2 hits. Maybe it doesn't matter if you're going for NG+++++++++++ but at base and NG+ I'd say that armor does help.
wasn't it proven that poise doesn't do anything for you when you're standing still? it only matters when you're in the middle of an action.
NG+ Armor is still viable. But when i fight a damn Fume Knight NG+++++++++(and beyond) not even Saint Havel with might Lame Buff spell can save me. I still remember a friend of mine wanted to beat Fume at NG+6 with all 3 co-op, everybody wearing Havel's armor and getting destroyed either way. 2 hit max is what you can achieve.
wasn't it proven that poise doesn't do anything for you when you're standing still? it only matters when you're in the middle of an action.
Running 1-punch man with some base Poise and I can take at least 1 hit before flinching if I'm in the middle of an attack.
tl;dr yes armour is useless for the most part, play fashion souls and don't get hit
what about ds1 im naked all the time as a side effect from playing 2 but maybe armour does matter in 1? but any armour that's any good slows me down to a fat roll it's bullshit
what about ds1 im naked all the time as a side effect from playing 2 but maybe armour does matter in 1? but any armour that's any good slows me down to a fat roll it's bullshit
what rings u got bithc havel's ring, ring of favor and protection become unstoppable No but really use those rings, then you can wear whatever you want as long as you have the proper amount of endurance.

Or you be a boring twink and only use the best weight/poise gear so you can do both and look like a knob. As far as reducing damage armour in DS1 is good, worth upgrading if you're going to wear it, but not broken like DS2. You can negate all damage of a certain type if you use upgraded Havel gear and rings, it's stupid.
I can never use RoFaP, it feels like I'm permanently abandoning a ring slot. I usually get more utility out of a permanent Havel's and one changeable ring
sorry but how is the game legit bullshit without 110 agility? 90 agility is plenty and you with a bit of effort you can probably finish the game with base agility
It's just my personal preference. I do settle for 90, but if the build I'm running allows it then it's 110, the game's ten times more fun with it. Try playing with 90 agility then 110 or just 100. The game is tons better with your roll timings. Some hitboxes are crazy sometimes and that 110 stat window grants you a basic security that you won't get hit "twice" by the shockwaves i.e roll through someone's sword, you've succesfully dodged but it's like big or something and nets you a delayed hit.

I hope faith doesn't blow ass in Dark Souls 3 like post-nerf Dark Souls 2.
