i hope i can power stance some BIG HAMMY BOYS
How did Lautrec turn off the light in Anor Londo anyway. Its understandable if another player killed Gwynevere in his world, amd we went to visit, but isnt Lautrec supposed to be in the same world as us?
he's in his own world, that's why you can invade him. after he kills the firekeeper he returns home.
If I remember correctly, anyone you meet is the protagonist of their own world, therefore Lautrec is the protagonist of his world. Considering what he does to Anastacia, I wouldn't put it behind him to take out Gwenevere for his personal gain as well. [editline]14th December 2015[/editline] Man I should refresh before posting, partial snipe
speaking of Lautrec, how dirfficult is it to kill him in a legitimate fight? I just dropped him off a cliff and stole his iff
I cheesed it with the Drake Sword because of his party, the odds are largely not in your favor it's ridiculous.
It's entirely doable, but the soul arrows from the mage can stun you in melee, so you should rush him first. Then you'll be fighting just two opponents so if you don't want to circlestrafe backstab cheese them just get a weapon that's a bit longer so you can keep them at bay.
Or just kite him up the stairs and around, poking him when his party is stuck on the geometry.
i hope i can power stance some BIG HAMMY BOYS
I doubt you'll be able to powerstance if they made dual wielding as an alternative mode for some weapon.
If I were to kill hm I'd probably do it in Firelink Shrine
I hope faith doesn't blow ass in Dark Souls 3 like post-nerf Dark Souls 2.
I would love that dude. DS nailed the faith mechanics, so I'm not sure why DS2 had to overextend, make them too strong and then in classic game dev fashion make them absolute garbage. I mean, it's not like they were that strong outside of their specific PvE purpose, if you got hit by a lightning spear outside of a lagfest scenario it was pretty much your fault.
I doubt you'll be able to powerstance if they made dual wielding as an alternative mode for some weapon.
What, really? Powerstance is out? That was like a pretty big hype point for DS2 as far as I renember. With the fact that poise is useless and how long some powerstance anims take it's obviously very rare to see someone using it, but it was still neat.
It's not confirmed yet since you couldn't change your weapon placement etc. We only got a weapon based on that. It would be sad and a waste not being able to power stance with different weapons. Unless the devs already said it, that is
I hope Dark Souls 3 had some kind of chalice dungeons
I hate how bonkers grindy this game can be. Chunks in DS1 were easier to get than in BB. Ugh.
I hope Dark Souls 3 had some kind of chalice dungeons
It'd be neat to have some type of dynamic content to keep PvE players coming back even after they finish the game. I've never played BB, but aren't Chalice Dungeons generally awful grindfests?
I've completed chalice dungeons so many times it's not even an annoyance anymore. It's a great time killer to me. And when you have access to the top tier dungeons you can easily farm the best shit there. There's a dungeon with a gargoyle that drops chunks way more often than the werewolves in the Upper Cathedral Ward.
Everyone that kills Lautrec by just kick him is a coward like him. Is easy to defeat him in his own world. You can even use the spells or rings to make you hard to see and don't make any noise. Sneak behind him and fighting him without his companions realizing what is going on.
Or do this

Be a man and fight 3 of them at once.
i fought him legit with my zweihander character i think and let me tell you, slow weapons vs that chucklefuck gank is not fun
I killed him with my shield-less dex/pyromancy-build starting off using Chaos Fireball and all I could say was "oh". The lava got him deep-fried in his suit of armor it seems.
yeah but pyromancy is completely broken in DS1 anyway
yeah but pyromancy is completely broken in DS1 anyway
Let's be real, most things were broken in DS1 if you knew how to fudge them right.
Everyone that kills Lautrec by just kick him is a coward like him. Is easy to defeat him in his own world. So he's got that NPC ultra armor so it is indeed a struggle. It really tests your mettle if its your first souls game and you try to fight him without pushing him off; I loved that struggle for his ring tho
I... parried him and one-shotted him. I was very good at parries in DS1.
Why not just fight him when you first find him? Hit him, lure him out and you've got an arena with 4 pillars(I think) on the same floor of the Parish he's in. I do it everytime and it's really fun since you've gotta 100% your dodges because of his Shovel.
I met him right after defeating the bell gargoyles (had to call a white phantom to do them in for me actually) so of course I wasn't going for a fair fight At that point even the crestfallen knight is fucking annoying
I hope Dark Souls 3 had some kind of chalice dungeons
I wouldn't mind this in an update or something after release, but I'd rather not have them devoting pre-release dev time to something highly repetitive
If anyone here has actually been able to participate in the Souls 3 network test, I've a question - Is parrying more like Dark Souls 1, or Dark Souls 2? 2's parry design was fucking terrible, absolutely irredeemable.
It's pretty much 1.
