Everyone that kills Lautrec by just kick him is a coward like him. Is easy to defeat him in his own world. You can even use the spells or rings to make you hard to see and don't make any noise. Sneak behind him and fighting him without his companions realizing what is going on.
Every souls game has that enemy that is a pain in the ass to fight and can be cheesed, but for some reason even if I am getting my ass handed to me I still find myself fighting them fairly.
yesterday I found out you could get parried by the augur of ebrietas in bloodborne after staying away from the game for quite a long period of time, I should have expected this update
I wouldn't mind this in an update or something after release, but I'd rather not have them devoting pre-release dev time to something highly repetitive
Fair enough, it'd probably be fine as part of an expansion.
If anyone here has actually been able to participate in the Souls 3 network test, I've a question - Is parrying more like Dark Souls 1, or Dark Souls 2? 2's parry design was fucking terrible, absolutely irredeemable.
Parrying and backstabbing are back to DS1 style, except backstabbing doesn't lock you target in place until they get hit and if you whiff you open yourself up for retaliation and look like a dork.
I'd love -good- chalice dungeons, and not the same boring dungeon rooms with ridiculously scaled enemies, especially not hiding top tier runes and gems. Fuck's sake some of the bosses are atrocious and I'm not even talking about the ones that are just powered up regulars.
yesterday I found out you could get parried by the augur of ebrietas in bloodborne after staying away from the game for quite a long period of time, I should have expected this update
Yep, it was updated just before the dlc came out.

That's great. If we keep the mechanics from DS1 ontop of the UI and gameplay QoL tweaks i.e bow handling we'd easily have GOTY.
So far they improved everything from DS1 so it feels smooth and great to play (even though the build started with fast rolls and such) and they added some DS2 positiveness into it. Just hope they don't screw up multiplayer.

I think I've made it clear but I seriously despise PvP and the chance to face up to it only opening up when I'm with a buddy pal friend would be totally diggy with me.
I'm getting seriously interested in Dark Souls 3. Here's hoping it'll be a fun game on PC
DS2 ran really well on PC, atleast for the first few initial patches. Then I had to do a priority switch but with the Speccy pic I posted earlier that's a testament to how optimized the game is. I really hope it runs on my PC. I doubt I'm gonna get an upgrade and being left out of the launch experience would be dick. Simultaneous PC-Console release and maybe multiplat MP would be really nice too.
Invasions shouldn't be a problem since Red Eye Orb is back so you'll invade at hearts' content, hopefully Arenas are still a thing and many good covenants as well.
It's still up in the air whether it'll be locked at 30FPS on PC, though... that'd just be awful.
I finally got the whirligig saw and I feel stupid for never noticing the path to get to it until I got the balcony key for the research hall.
I doubt you'll be able to powerstance if they made dual wielding as an alternative mode for some weapon.
i do not understand please explain
It's still up in the air whether it'll be locked at 30FPS on PC, though... that'd just be awful.
DS2 wasn't. I had a thought. Wouldn't PvP be a lot better if synced animations were removed entirely? I.e you'd still deal bonus damage for hitting someone while you're behind them or parrying->hitting them, but when one guarantee of PvP is that things will never ever be synced, it feels kinda weird to have them in place. For NPCs in co-op or whatever it's fine since those are rock steady for the most part even when summoned to the Congo.
i do not understand please explain
Well, with the Weapon Arts system, weapons have an alternate mode of a sorts with special movies, i.e Greatswords have a Guts-styled counter. So on one hand, we probably won't see the return of Powerstancing. On the other, aren't Arts tied to your shield type? So we might see it. [editline]14th December 2015[/editline]
DS2 wasn't.
Yeah, and look what happened because of it.
Yeah, and look what happened because of it.
Wait, am I missing something? What happened exactly other than the little durability bug? Wasn't that fixed pretty quick?
oh so it's more like bloodborne and each weapon has its alternate mode? [editline]15th December 2015[/editline] i really hope we can powerstance
Same. Man it wasn't really that useful but it was fun. If we get powerstances with DS1's better animation comboing system it could be legit pretty good. Does anyone wanna do a co-op playthrough of SotFS with me by the way? 100%, all possible co-op DLC areas & bosses. I'm from Argentina so the matchmaking might be a bit wonky or just not work at all, but hopefully... On PC
Wait, am I missing something? What happened exactly other than the little durability bug? Wasn't that fixed pretty quick?
To my knowledge it still hasn't been fixed. Point is, them trying to do 60 FPS has always had issues. Trying to pump DS1 to 60 caused physics issues, DS2 had the durability bug, etc. If they can do it right, i'm all for it, but, call me cynical, i don'ttrust them to.
Wait, am I missing something? What happened exactly other than the little durability bug? Wasn't that fixed pretty quick?
It was fixed quite recently, so it took a while, but that's about all the issues it had because of 60 FPS.
durability bug barely even mattered and if that's enough to make you want to not have 60fps I don't even know what to say
durability bug barely even mattered and if that's enough to make you want to not have 60fps I don't even know what to say
Besides I'd say it won't be an issue in Dark Souls III since they will probably be making it for the PS4 and XBONE.
durability bug barely even mattered and if that's enough to make you want to not have 60fps I don't even know what to say
It's not, though it did make some weapons effectively useless. Regardless, it'd be nice to have 60 FPS without any issues, that's all i'm saying.
ds2 made whips entirely useless. youd get 10 good cracks before they broke
ds2 made whips entirely useless. youd get 10 good cracks before they broke
When they weren't broken though they were pretty fun. Powerstanced whips did cool damage.
ds2 made whips entirely useless. youd get 10 good cracks before they broke
Also heavy weapons like the Dragon Tooth. You'd get maybe five to eight hits in before it broke. [editline]15th December 2015[/editline] I really hope that Dark Souls 3 has durability more akin to Souls 1 and Bloodborne than Dark Souls 2. The whole "All weapons break in a few hits" system was just retarded, with or without the 60FPS durability bug.

It also made my no bonfire, no death run quite interesting.
You could get invaded without a summon. It's more like DS1 where you can only be attacked if you use a certain item. In DS1 you used a Humanity to reverse hollowing and look human which allowed all online interaction, in the DS3 network test you used an ember to allow online stuff but it also gave you a 40% health buff (rather than DS2's health penalty for being hollow).
I hope FromSoftware will make a dungeon game where all character across DS and Bloodborne is mixed together to explore dungeons, fight all bosses, complete with arenas, invasions, coop, like a battle royale Total jizzfest

So if I just wanna co-op I'm still kinda deadlocked to getting invaded. That's a bit of a shame, but I guess maybe I can solo the bosses and only be the summon.
