Let's all be level 1 twink characters instead. Yeah, that totally sounds like fun.
That's like 3 different weapons tho
So I finally beat [sp]Maria[/sp] with very few parries only to replenish health. After beating her and using the [sp]Dial to the Hamlet,[/sp] I found something unique on a side table by her chair,
A bit of spoilers for lore-people:

[sp]Judging by the picture, I think Maria did know about Gherman's love for her, but never returned it because of the Hunter's Nightmare, being separated from him, and Gherman already being too invested in the Doll for him to notice anyway. Think they had some Belligerent Sexual Tension in their younger years?[/sp]
Some insight from a guy not Vaati. It's still theory, but pretty good since it delves on the hidden touches in the game. Though the last few minutes were made for the sake of lewd.

Speaking of hidden touches:
Here's what I found when just entering [sp]the fishing hamlet.[/sp] Remember the ship masts in the Nightmare Frontier? Someone here mentioned it before here, but I got some pics on it:

[sp]It's the Nightmare Yharnam underneath the water! The ship masts also start here. Not only that, but that's why the creatures in the Research Hall go "Splish, splash. Splish, splash," they're underwater! This is also why the seashell girl by the Whirligig Saw loot falls from the sky.[/sp]
Bonus Pic for Wallpapers: Now THIS is how you do Treasure and loot in RPG Dungeons. Scatter it full of gold and valuables and have the treasure in a large chest, coffin, or a special pedestal.

If my strength is 14 and I have a black knight greatsword, would it be worth it to just b-line towards the required 32 strength and disregard all other stats?
Why would 32-bit or 64-bit matter? Unless you're talking about vanilla DS2 and SotFS.
[editline]19th December 2015[/editline]
So are we doing this or what? We need to decide on a time.
DX9 and DX11. Different servers, the two versions cannot interact between each other
If my strength is 14 and I have a black knight greatsword, would it be worth it to just b-line towards the required 32 strength and disregard all other stats?
Get 16 strength and two hand it. Unless you're in DS2, then get 24 strength and two hand it.
If my strength is 14 and I have a black knight greatsword, would it be worth it to just b-line towards the required 32 strength and disregard all other stats?
Kind of. You can two hand to multiply your strength by I dunno how much, either 50% or 100%, so you could get the dex requirement and then two hand it without having all of the required strength.

If you're going towards 32 you might as well spend 2 more points and stop at 34 strength so you can two-hand everything short of smoughs and one-hand possibly the best shield in the game
balder shield only needs 12 str though?
I've never had Balder's in my life rip in pace me
uuugh
I had dropped Knight Artorias down to his last sliver of health, and then he proceeded to touch me with the very tip of his greatsword and slain me
Can't seem to kill him now. I need to try again later
Would putting points in arcane really increases saw cleaver power?
I had no idea. The stats for damage havent increased much even after leveling up arcane. Is it a hidden damage or something?

Saw weapons do serrated damage which is hidden damage but only against beasts and really gross monsters. If it doesn't look human, you'll do bonus damage

If a weapon doesn't actually deal arcane damage, the arcane scaling is useless.

So arcane only increases the hidden damage?
But strenght and skill increases all damage?
I was thinking of using saw cleaver in conjunction with kos parasite, by leveling up only arcane, but now damn
I suppose holy moonligth sword transformed mode only scales with arcane? Maybe can ditch saw cleaver for holy sword

No, arcane increases arcane, fire, and bolt damage. Serrated is like 10% extra damage that is only there when you're hitting with the saw side of it and against really ugly enemies
I see. I guess by leveling up arcane, the character would be more versatile, due to the ability to infuse different element to the cleaver effectively. Not to mention the ability to use magic tools.
Or is arcane not as wonderful as i thought it is?

Many people will tell you arcane is useless but my first character is a skill/arcane build with a saw cleaver that deals only fire damage or bolt depending on which blood gems I use and it is very good at killing werewolves, kin, and it does decent damage against regular enemies and crap damage to church giants but that's where my burial blade gets used.

Arcane is great if you're planning on doing a lot of arcane, fire, or bolt damage. If you rely primarily on physical damage then it's much less effective. The scaling bonus to molotovs isn't very high and paper doesn't scale.
I hope enemies in DS3 have less insane combo chains. Or atleast wind up the insane combo chains a little bit more, it's kinda tiring to have practically every humanoid enemy do a crazy 3+ hit combo.
Some enemies, like the Pursuer's, have ok crazy combos since they line up decently with your recovery times but others that just freak the fuck out on you are seriously tiring, specially when poise in DS2 is so damn weak.
is it bad that im about to buy a ps4 just to play bloodborne
is it bad that im about to buy a ps4 just to play bloodborne

That's what i did, the other games i have were just a bonus really.

I defeated [sp]Brador on all of his invasions and killed him in his cell,[/sp] so I took a look at [sp]his[/sp] gear and this was what I found:
[sp]Beast Hide Garb: "The bloodied hide of a horrible Cleric Beast, pulled over the back. Without the attacked beast hide this foreigner garb wouldn't raise anyone's eyebrows.
Brador donned a compatriot's beastly scalp and hide while still moist with blood. Most of the blood stains on this hide were from that day"
Brador's Testimony: "The scalp of a horrid Cleric Beast, indicating that hunter Brador, a Healing Church assassin, had killed a compatriot.
Afterward, he wore his ally's own scalp, and hid himself away, deep below in a cell. The Church provided him with a single, soundless bell of death to ensure their secrets would be kept."
From what we can gather, Brador was a foreigner that worked with the Healing Church. Doesn't Yharnam hate outsiders? And it seems that since he killed his partner, he willingly went to the Hunter's Nightmare and locked himself away. The Church found him and gave him a bell that allows him to invade anyone trying to venture forth to Kos' corpse, trying to keep the church's secrets safe. He killed Simon because he knew too much about the experiments that the horrible things scholars did in the Hamlet.[/sp]
This is the only game where I can fail 28+ times at a boss fight, start it up the next day and ace it in one go.

THANK THE KOSMOS.
Insight is not even a problem if you just play chalices or do co-op so it's great.
Hopefully the moonlight greatsword won't eat my stamina like a bitch in the coming update.
