Finally was able to pick up DS1 since it was on sale, I think I'm going to go into it completely blind. Wish me luck. [editline]28th December 2015[/editline] Does the game still need that unofficial patch (dsfix, right?), or did it end up being patched officially?
Logarius is so easy goddamn. I think people consider him really difficult because they're trying to stunlock him. His flying phase is so easy, he just flies at you and you dodge then whack him a few times when he lands. He's giving you free hits

Could be halfway could be 3/4ths of the way.
I'd say don't start the DLC 'till you're around level 60-80. The Old Hunters was clearly meant for endgame despite it unlocking as soon as Amelia's defeat. [editline]28th December 2015[/editline] also rip venus djinni avatar :v:
the worst part about BB is the fact the the thumb sticks on the Playstation controller aren't good. they're way too slick and because of the placement of the left thumb stick, if I move in any one direction for too long my thumb starts to slip off. I was fighting the last hunter for Eileen's quest (I can't remember his name) and I had to keep reaching over with my right thumb to keep me moving so I could get my thumb back on the stick. It's a problem that I never had playing DkS1 or 2 on my pc with a 360 gamepad.

That's how I always used my sticks and why I always wondered why the fuck people have so many issues using the sticks. I'm saying instead of doing this [t]http://cdn.makeuseof.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/xbox-360-controller-with-super-hexagon-on-android.jpg?eb142b[/t] Do this [editline]29th December 2015[/editline] Replace the 360 controller with the DS4.
It's funny that those both show xbox controllers because thats how I use those controllers, but on a playstation controller, the positioning of the stick throws me off. Even if I tried, I would subconsciously start to end up resting my thumb on the top. Its weird because I never remember having this issue on PS1 or 2 controllers. The tumbsticks were convex but they had grippier material. [editline]29th December 2015[/editline] because instead of hitting the left tumbstick vertically with the bottom of my thumb, I'm hitting it horizontally with the bottom of my thumb. I also have massive hands so that might have a factor as well.
I think you should be able to buff Simon's Bowblade with BMA. It'd be wasted on a regular shot, forcing you to go for a charged shot for the extra damage, and with as long as it takes to charge and as hard as it is to hit a moving target, landing that slegdehammer hit would be absolutely worth it and would be fairly balanced, except against bosses i guess but even then, ones like Gascan, German and Maria would be able to dodge no problem. But nooooo, it can't be buffed with anything. [editline] aksdbv [/editline] I really think i've kinda nailed my personal Old Hunter look [IMG_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/f7Sl51v.jpg[/IMG_thumb] Pardon the shitty picture, still haven't figured out if there's a way to upload properly directly from the PS4.

Went through my first invasion ever. Some laggy shit attacked me in the middle of a fight. Needless to say, I lost :v:

Man wish me good luck since [sp] i'll bother getting all the endings in 1 characters[/sp] It's the only thing that is stopping me since i don't want to miss anything good each playthrough and playing Old Hunters DLC give you an absurd amount of materials.

My soul is ready for DS3 Bloodborne made me a man. In DS1 I was a heavy chunk of iron golem armor 2-handing priscilla scythe, hacking people bleeding them to death without care. But in Bloodborne I learned the art of light-rolling, unique to the first hunters. Thanks Bloodborne.
So now that I've actually given Dark Souls a serious chance, I have to say that I absolutely fucking love it. It's a shame I won't ever be able to play Bloodborne though, watching gameplay of that makes me want to play it so badly
Preordered Dark Souls 3 Collectors Edition on Amazon. I need that statue! I hope the game looks as good as Bloodborne.
Should I wait pre ordering DS3?
Preordered Dark Souls 3 Collectors Edition on Amazon. I need that statue! I hope the game looks as good as Bloodborne.
Can't see why it wouldn't. Part of Bloodbourne looking so good is the visual style is just so fucking tight and consistent. They really nailed the Victorian-Gothic look with it, and even the more surreal places are still totally consistent. Graphics technology wise it's nothing mindblowing, but good artistic direction changes that significantly. FromSoft seem good at this shit, DaS, despite looking ancient, still looks pretty good due to the artistic direction. I just hope they really learned from BB and make the combat options more varied. I quite like trying to run around a mach-3 in DaS, but it just doesn't feel right and your evasive options don't really play into aggressive combat too much.
after finishing bloodborne, i think i prefer the souls games. i'm not a huge fan of the ranged spammable parry, among other things. still very fun though
Don't have PS+ so no co-oping for me, unfortunately.
That shit is absolutely heinous. I can't imagine playing a From game without online. Can't imagine having to pay for it like online play is some kind of privilege or something. That's IMO the only reason people should need to get From's games on PC if they're ported there atleast half decently. You don't gotta pay like 5 bucks per month, and I've played DS1 for over a year now.
Try gaining another 42 levels :v: My merge
Woooop i beat him by myself at level 60! Feelsgoodman
after finishing bloodborne, i think i prefer the souls games. i'm not a huge fan of the ranged spammable parry, among other things. still very fun though
Not sure what's wrong with it, or how its spammy since you have an ammo counter whereas dark souls 2 for a time was just monastery scimitar parry spamming and a ranged parry means you cant get a counter attack in.

I'm in constant overstock in terms of vials and bullets. And i think you're misunderstanding the spam term. Gun spam parry is a thing.
restarted my bloodborne playthrough after experimenting for 8 hours, still managing to get absolutely fucked by gascoine jesus christ man for a second boss he is difficult
restarted my bloodborne playthrough after experimenting for 8 hours, still managing to get absolutely fucked by gascoine jesus christ man for a second boss he is difficult
He gets much easier once you learn to parry his attacks and know when to use the music box. My preferred formula: -Start the fight, use the music box immediately/after dodging an attack or two -Immediately go for the backstab, visceral, then hit him with another charged R2 as he's getting up -Bait out another parry or two and he should begin transforming -Start using the music box a second or two before the animation ends, he should stagger immediately -Backstab again and then throw a molotov or two and he'll go down Works every time for me, doubt it takes much longer than 30 seconds. If you're bad at parrying, try your best to relax and focus on his attack animations. Don't worry about getting hit once or twice, just back off to pop a vial and then try again. Good practice for the later bosses as well.
restarted my bloodborne playthrough after experimenting for 8 hours, still managing to get absolutely fucked by gascoine jesus christ man for a second boss he is difficult
I know that everyone have their opinions about difficulty of that boss, but i'm not so sure why is he so difficult for some others, expect for his aggressiveness, but that did not make it much harder for me. On my first playthrough i managed to beat him on first try "accidentally". I say "accidentally" because i just wondered in that place without knowing that there is a boss there and i had no intention of beating him and tried to flee multiple times and his aggressiveness didn't let me and he basically forced me to fight him, and if i remember it right, i didn't use parries much on him and used most of the molotovs.

Sure you can spam them, but unless you die or warp back to the dream you won't get a refill other than whatever the enemies happen to drop.
