Although I'm a newcomer to the series I have to agree with the opinion the Big Boss should have never been voiced by Hayter.
He also probably shouldn't of looked exactly like an even-less shaven Solid Snake. I get that the clones looked alike to a degree and shared the same facial structure, but Naked Snake basically being not-Solid Snake in the 60's, combined with him not accepting his title of Big Boss for two games in a row and still reverting his codename back to Snake for MGS5, really makes it feel like after Raiden, they just can't trust a mainline game to go without a requisite Snake. Big Boss broke out of the irony of being a backwards not-Solid in time, mostly thanks to Peace Walker, some moments in 3, and his overall quirkiness in both games plus POOPS, but still.
bought the Legacy Collection today, It'll be here by Friday.
Mine got here 2 days ago, 30€! [t]http://i.imgur.com/abZ62fa.jpg[/t]
Big Boss should have always looked more like Solidus. It just makes more sense.
Big Boss should have always looked more like Solidus. It just makes more sense.
they all have the same face
The models for Snake and Solidus in MGS2 are the exact same aside from the hair.
Theory time children. GZ SPOLIERS What if, Morpho was a cypher spy/ Bonus reason for MSF attack So, lets get started. When Morpho starts flying to the base, he doesn't comment on how the base is ablaze until the boss himself notices, only saying " Can't get radio contact." But at the end, where it says the " Smoke was visiable from the shoreline", How did he not notice MSF on fire? I mean the heli that their flying, a Superhind has a 42x gunner zoom, with thermal cameras and shit, you would of expected him to say something about it. But thats not enough to base this on alone. The fact that he flys up to the base, lands next to miller without firing the cannon on the heli is a bit confusing to say the least. The 30MM cannon on the superhind could of easily killed all those XOF units, allowing all those MSF units to get onboard without any injury. But he didnt, all he did is land, let miller get onboard before taking off due to too many XOF units surrounding them,So the additional MSF units cannot get aboard, so they won't slow down the take off. So he flys off as fast as he can, obviously so the bomb can blow up yadayadayada, vagina bomb plane crash. So he failed at his mission right? Because the boss survived? But what if that Wasnt his mission? What if his mission is to get the boss out of MSF as fast as he could? Like, XOF doesn't kill / Such as an easily placed grenade or that RPG guy could of just aimed at morpho instead of at the MSF Units, because he knows the boss will have to be forced to retreat, and theirs nothing more dangerous to the XOF units then big boss himself. So get him out of there, you've got most of the threat gone. The vagina bomb killing snake would of been a bonus, as then you've got nothing to attack you *cough* 9 years later *cough And that brings me to another point, why they attacked MSF. The reason they got Big boss and that off the base and to finish it off was not to send the boss too his grave, but to combat cypher. MSF had hugely advanced technology, such as Stealth camouflage, Railguns, Hell, even a Metal Gear! All this would come handy to kill cypher. But Big boss hates the US. You wouldn't really be able to go up to him and say "hey b0ss can we have some of those prototype secret camoflagues" and expect a yes. The only way they could get their hands on them, is by force. They get big boss off the base and kill off any survivors to steal R&D Personnel, and blueprints. But, since the fact MSF Is a giant barbaque when this happens, alot of the items they get are missing design docs/whatever They attempt to get the stealth camo working for years, along with the Metal gear design. They use the ZEKE blueprints, but their missing pieces. None of it works. They show the boss, to get him to help, but he disagrees/gets pissed off/ steals the metal gear and develops it on his own. The blue prints for the stealth camoflague and Metal gear are passed onto high level engineers in the US, Until it ends up in the hands of a Hal Emmerich, but I'm getting off topic. Pretty much, None of the equipment works. Skullface, on his way to kill zero, destroys MSF to get more stuff to certain items to help him. 9 years later, Skullface is so close to killing zero, but big boss kills skullface out of anger, pretty much meaning Big boss has just allowed the only chance to kill the patriots off and end the whole shit called MGS2/4. Just out of rage. This is what the quotes were about. I'll finsh this off later, but thoughts? ADHD version: Morpho paid to get big boss out of their ASAP so XOF steals MSF designs! Designs incomplete, Dont work, BB kills skullface, allows zero to get his way!t

Atleast, in terms of just comparing models, [t]http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w191/FodderForce/snake.jpg[/t]. in MGS4, Snake and Bosses faces look different.
Same for Liquid. It honestly shocks me people didn't know that anyway. They're supposed to be clones.
Same for Liquid. It honestly shocks me people didn't know that anyway. They're supposed to be clones.
I know that they're all technically different genetically, only a little bit, but yeah. Still clones.
How is it possible that Liquid got all the dominant genes but has blond hair?
How is it possible that Liquid got all the dominant genes but has blond hair?
His hair was bleached.
How is it possible that Liquid got all the dominant genes but has blond hair?
there was that one guy who had a theory that blonde haired people were genetically superior forget his name though, he was austrian I think
New version of my Fox Engine XML tool: https://github.com/Atvaark/FoxTool/releases/tag/v0.1 The first person I have this already made a sanic raiden mod by modding the reflex mode.
The models for Snake and Solidus in MGS2 are the exact same aside from the hair.
Also nostril height and ears. Let's not forget Solidus' genetically perfect ears.
How is it possible that Liquid got all the dominant genes but has blond hair?
Lots of time in the Middle East bleached his hair and gave him darker skin.
Also nostril height and ears. Let's not forget Solidus' genetically perfect ears.
-actually you're right-
Lots of time in the Middle East bleached his hair and gave him darker skin.
I have no clue how this makes any sense. No one in the Middle East has blond hair. Everyone has black hair.
I have no clue how this makes any sense. No one in the Middle East has blond hair. Everyone has black hair.
nanomachines you knew that
I thought Liquid was the Recessive clone, which led to his inferiority complex in MGS1?
I thought Liquid was the Recessive clone, which led to his inferiority complex in MGS1?
That's the big twist. He thinks that but the reality is the opposite.
I have no clue how this makes any sense. No one in the Middle East has blond hair. Everyone has black hair.
Are you saying that if it made sense then time in the Middle East would make him literally change race? When pasty white guys get exposed to the sun for too long they get a tan and their hair goes lighter, that's what happened with Liquid.
I thought Liquid was the Recessive clone, which led to his inferiority complex in MGS1?
how can you even forget this conversation? it was my favorite part of MGS1
"No one knows that you were the third one...Solidus" "Mr. President" Shit = real.
Mgs lore so far is basically, hi. nanomachines. [editline]20th January 2015[/editline] I don't care much about the story in mgs games, the gameplay is what makes mgs games good
The only MGS that went crazy with nanomachines was MGS4 because Kojima wanted to wrap up that story and tying off all the threads is easy when you have a deus ex (nano)machina. MGS2 mentioned nanomachines a lot but it was more like a story element than MGS4's 75% of the conversations being about nanomachines and their resulting effects on society.
After starting over MGS 1 so many times, now I finally have a ps1 memory card! Now I can save my game!
"You have not saved often. You are somewhat reckless."
Man fuck Liquid, I can get past the first half of the Metal Gear Rex fight but when I get to the second half with Liquid in the open cockpit, it just destroys me
3 subsistence was a huge surprise because it changed everything. 4 expanded on that kind of [editline]20th January 2015[/editline] I played 3 for the first time last year because I stopped playing ps2 before 3 and my sister has had it since, First runs were really painful because being used to mgs2 system of running up to enemy out of their vision cone and pushing a tranq poop down their throat [editline]20th January 2015[/editline] Fuck, I don't even remember the ray fight from mgs. Pretty much everything else I remember. Good job making the "final boss" unmemorable. Not even sarcasm, I remember almost everything else about it
“Kojima plays everything close to the vest.” he explained. “So we get to see a little bit, and a lot of it honestly is revealed in the narrative, because there is a tie-in of course with the narrative and the gameplay. And you’ll be reading this one thing and you’ll be like: ‘holy shit, so this is actually what we are doing’. So that’s one way that I kind of find out about stuff.” It seems like there will be a lot of lines by his character, as well as by Miller, who is played by Robin Atkin Downes. “It’s basically ‘shut up Miller’ and Ocelot is ‘talks-a-lot’.” Troy Baker summarized. “Because we both just talk incessantly through this game. You’re going to get really tired of hearing us.”
http://www.metalgearinformer.com/?p=17542
Man fuck Liquid, I can get past the first half of the Metal Gear Rex fight but when I get to the second half with Liquid in the open cockpit, it just destroys me
I love how ruthless fighting REX and Liquid is. It's still such an epic fight, sparring 3 hair pulling stages. The only flaw though is fucking Cyborg being dramatic every time you die. It takes away from that moment like crazy
