I'm trying to 100% Ground Zeroes but the main mission and the Anti-Air one is kicking my fucking ass, both on normal and hard
I'm pissed that I still can't S rank the first normal mission in the game lol
That joke video where he smashes the trucks into the guns is honestly the easiest way to do it. That mission is a speed run.
I haven't 100% GZ because all the normal trials are "mark the 40 guards in the base." Yeah I'm fine doing that once not fucking 5 times.
well anyways, that statue trick did the job and it didn't even take me like 5 minutes to beat mantis, certainly saved a lot of time.
now onto sniper wolf.

One time when I was trying to mark everyone in the Renegade Threat mission I tagged and removed everyone. Big problem though, one guy didn't spawn. I checked every single fucking spot on the map, purposefully went into a camera and still nothing. I was so pissed.
imo the stuff with Psycho Mantis has lost it's edge; a puzzle stops being fun when assistance is mandatory to completion.
I didn't find it fun to have to die repeatedly and call the Colonel repeatedly to find out something that made absolutely no sense but was only ever cool because it acknowledged the PS1 existed.
This is an unpopular opinion but try and be civil

Your opinion is wrong.
I'm hoping that Mantis in Phantom Pain does some really mind blowing shit. Screaming Mantis didn't really do anything that groundbreaking or memorable. You just had to stick yourself with nanomachines, shoot puppets, and follow the on screen instructions to shake your controller up and down.

If only other consoles had TV control like the Wii U so it could literally change the input on your TV, not just a fake "Hideo" screen :v:
I thought it was mindblowing when Psycho Mantis tells you he can move the controller move across the floor without touching it, then he vibrates it and it moves across the floor.

I'm waiting to get a PS4 copy of Ground Zeroes before I try to 100% it, I'm not that crazy.
Also because it's hard. the only S-Rank I have is Ground Zeroes proper.

Are you expecting that a 17 year old game is going to follow modern day game standards for how the controls work? If you're playing an old game you should honestly try to be in the mindset for the time when the game came out. Like you shouldn't go play Syphon Filter and get upset because it doesn't control like Gears of War.

I'm completely aware that the past is the past and I shouldn't expect it to follow modern day standards. I'm not expecting it to. I just found that bit jarring and it didn't really personally add to the experience for me. I'm a fan of fourth-wall breaking humor, but I just thought it wasn't fun for me.
Sorry, if I could enjoy it, trust me, I would :/

The main/Ground Zeroes mission is easy as hell. Just save all the prisoners around Chico, too.
The anti-air is tricky. Try the truck method from the action parody video or try to finish it first with an A which unlock the rocket launcher at the start and cheese it.

This is the easiest strategy to S rank the anti-air mission that I've done. It doesn't get much easier than this.
can you guys honestly say you'd even want more Metal Gear after V?
I'm a die hard fan. It's literally my favorite game series and possibly media series in the world, and I think I'd be full after V. I think every story that needs to be told has been told already, and PW and V are very entertaining fluff that fill in and are going to fill in loads of details but as it stands I think MGS is a bit bloated
V is not supposed to be fluff
Peace Walker was a handheld, coop thing but it does not undermine its importance either, actually its my second favorite MGS
Rising is fluff, by definition, but god damn is it some good fluff

I tried this method few times but I always killed someone at the farthest gun resulting in an A.
If you got an A, shouldn't you have the rocket launcher when you spawn?
Just stay on top of the cliff and pop the AA's.

On the last page I suggested the very thing. I'm just saying I tried the above method (which doesn't require a rocket launcher) and always killed someone by shooting at another AA-gun.

Y'know you could always save those POWs to ensure you get an S

Yeah, either that or this will work:

Make sure to have that slow motion turned off for the big point bonus, too.

That works great, and is hilarious, but on hard the enemies can really fuck up the trucks.
Anywhere I can get the PS4 collectors edition? GamesStop ran out, I was thinking of getting the xbone one and selling the game and buying the ps4 game. I don't really care for the digital stuff I just want the physical stuff.
Since I'm watching MGS4 on Youtube, I don't get to hear a lot of the music in the game clearly. What's the song that plays throughout Mega64's video called? (I'm assuming it's from MGS4)

Went through the MGS streams some time ago on twitch since I enjoy watching uKnighted and had a chat with this guy, he's from the Netherlands and is quite friendly. He streams 3-4 days a week he says and it seems to be going to waste cause he only has like 19 followers.

Also just recently got back into MGS which is nice.
