So Kojima mentioned that TPP was going to be very taboo and we just assumed it was going to be child soldiers, torture, and blood diamonds but what if it includes homosexuality and BB is revealed to be a massive homo and a graphic homo love scene with Kaz or Ocelot comes up and millions of people playing it in their living rooms have the most awkward experience as their parents walk in Turns out Kojima meant that this game would ruin his career if it failed because of how gay it is. Then the media only picks up on the graphic homosexuality and ignores the child soldiers and war crimes
If Snake and Kaz were put into a homosexual relationship and it was treated seriously, I would have no problem with that at all. Actually, I think it might add to the game's "taboo" themes.
It be interesting if he'll reject Liquid at first if they meet [sp]considering his adverse response to Les Enfantes Terribles[/sp] Also content, cause I love this OCRemix:
His sexuality seems irrelevant completely. He's bred for war and we already know that's all he'll ever commit to it one way or another. He's got no space to have emotions for anyone.
When he goes full darkside I'd agree with that statement. But, around Peace Walker for instance, when things are going pretty well for him, I'd say he still has time for that kind of stuff. He slept with EVA in Snake Eater, and let's not forget the Kaz/Boss audio drama
I wonder if GZ spoilers in this thread are even a thing but I'll spoiler it just to be sure. [sp]Man, that opening scene is so cool, I especially love the moment where Skull Face and XOF soldiers approach the choppers. BUT. I find the amount of troops going to attack Mother Base pretty small. I guess more choppers might have been already in the air and some inside help allowed XOF to fuck MSF's shit up.[/sp]
[sp]I think they also had boat teams to blow up the struts from below.[/sp]

A dud!?
I just saw the twin snakes version of Ocelot's introduction in mgs1 what the hell is this shit
I have been following up (as I could) the MGS storyline from the outside, as I never got a console to play their games (this, together with the Zelda games are the two videogame series that I desire to play and can't). When MGS V: GZ appeared on PC, I felt great, although I ran out of money and had to wait to the special offer of the past week to get it. Is amazing. Even if is just "a demo", is really impressive and deep. I can't wait for the "full game".
I miss Kojima's burger tweets :(

Just did the first mission in Peace Walker's chapter one. I'm getting flashbacks to MGSV (as one should), and I'm definitely getting a Monster Hunter vibe in the way it does areas (as in, have a bunch of small sections connected by one large map). Messed up in the final area with 5 guards patrolling an area, but CQC took all 5 of them down quick. The storybook parts are pretty interesting, though it's strange to be thrown into a "combat" section inbetween. (Which seems to have little consequences, unless Chico isn't taken away if you hit them all correctly) The biggest worry I have is the multiplayer aspect- clearly it was built with it in mind, but I'm afraid that there'll be some missions in the future that're impossible to do solo. Has anyone experienced this, or am I overreacting?
Its all canon.
Arguable. And since they're optional audio tapes they aren't integral story elements.

The audio drama on it's own which was on a CD separate from the game would have been of dubious canonicity were it not for that.
Metal Gear, at least in Solid Snake's case, doesn't need this huge multitude of guns. The series is very anti-war, and Solid Snake doesn't even really like guns that much, at least not nearly as much as Big Boss did. Besides, a lot of the guns in MGS4 functioned pretty much the same as other guns in the same category. Did anyone really even use half of the pistols that were available? Besides, the entire reason the series exists is because the MSX2 had a lot of technical limitations, and Kojima also wanted to make a stealth game, with emphasis on getting by and avoiding the enemy over fighting.
Metal Gear Solid would be a pretty lame series if it didn't have all the fun extra content that it had. The whole idea is that you play through the campaign properly once, then go through it again on subsequent playthroughs and fuck around with your arsenal.

It's just that the later games have been emphasizing combat a little too much, and giving you a ridiculous amount of guns and ammunition. Seriously, did we really need 15 handguns in MGS4?
I feel like the excess of weapons in MGS4 was a leftover from when the game was planned to be more open-ended with its warfare and the PMC faction combat. I don't remember all the development details so I could be wrong there, but maybe they decided to keep them even when the game was made more linear and the warfare focus was basically reserved for two chapters.
The movie's got a new screenwriter. http://deadline.com/2015/03/sony-playstation-jay-basu-metal-gear-solid-leviathan-fox-x-men-1201400987/
Why the fuck are they making a movie again?
Why the fuck are they making a movie again?
cos they want some moneybucks
Why the fuck are they making a movie again?
Because Hollywood's all out of ideas.
Why the fuck are they making a movie again?
They've been "making" the MGS movie for years. I doubt it'll get out of development hell.
"In-demand writer" he has 4 projects to his name. One I actually know of and it's not even out yet. This will never get off the ground with names like these unless they slash the budget to hell and make it Uwe Boll-tier.
They've been "making" the MGS movie for years. I doubt it'll get out of development hell.
And it better not. There's no reason for a movie adaptation to exist.
