Because he's a serious action film actor. MGSV at least has him getting somewhat physically involved in the game. Smash Bros. is just voice acting, and Kiefer is not a voice actor, especially not for incredibly light-hearted things like Smash Bros.
sure.

Yet he did voice acting for the 24 game, land before time, call of duty, monsters vs aliens and fucking marmaduke. So yeah he's not above anything.

One of the main problems is that MGSV is a super dark game, and it would just be more fitting to have the Peace Walker version of Snake.
Ah, who am I kidding, I just want David Hayter back.

so I bought like this 10 year old MGS3 strategy guide.
I didn't need it at all but it was like 3 bucks and had all the pages, so why the fuck not.

Also screws through ankles and rape.

That's a good guide, I have it too.
Also screws through ankles and rape.
Screwed ankles and rape that were done by a blue skeleton cowboy that yells one liners like "TIME FOR A TASTE TEST".
Also screws through ankles and rape.
Through the achilles tendon to be precise. Which makes it even worse.

A Hungarian blue skeleton cowboy hellbent on killing a one eyed James bond fan by manipulating a one eyed manchild.

Said rape was also done by 13 year old boy.
MGS has done some pretty fucked up stuff in the past, but it's never gotten on this level.

We're talking about [sp]Paz and Chico right? Technically wasn't it Chico getting raped? I still haven't played GZ so correct me if I'm wrong.[/sp]

[sp]Chico didn't rape Paz. Skullface told him to and he refused, so Skullface had Paz and Chico beaten instead. It was later when Chico and Paz were in their cages that Paz made Chico have sex with her.
I don't get how people interpreted that as Paz getting raped. Though I also don't get how people though there was a bomb in Paz's vagina. Did anyone see the size of the bomb in her guts? Do they know where a vagina is? It sounded to me that they took out one of her lungs and put the second bomb in her chest, seeing as they only left enough organs to keep her alive for 24 hours.[/sp]

yeah, that's the one. It is pretty good.

First of all, we can stop spoiler-tagging Ground Zeroes. It's been over a year since it came out, and the already short piece of the story it had was pretty highly publicized on release.
Anyways, Chico DID rape Paz. He was forced to. He tried to refuse, but Skullface beat and made him do it. Paz was already being regularly raped and beaten by XOF, and it was implied that Skullface was directly participating. Literally all of this happens in the forth tape.
As for the bomb, it's implied that it's in her womb. Not her vaginal passage, her womb. Besides, who said that bomb was the same size and shape as the first one?
yeah, that's the one. It is pretty good.
You're pretty good.
Spoiler tag that. One year is nothing, doesn't make it open season for spoilers for new players to the series and such.

The plot for Ground Zeroes, specifically that scene, was plastered all over gaming news sites the week it was released. Plot details in 4 and Peace Walker, those matter. Highly publicized 30 minute stories, those don't matter. Just about everyone knows about it, and it's technically the beginning of TPP. That's like still wanting to spoiler-tag The Boss's defection at the beginning of 3, or hell, the death of Ben Kenobi in Star Wars. It seriously doesn't matter at this point, everyone knows about it.
Yeah, I'd agree. We know about the fucking shrapnel and how he wants to avenge his brothers because they're both plastered fucking everywhere in TPP trailers. The events of GZ aren't much of a secret.
I really would have liked the story of Ground Zeroes to have been a better kept secret, but it was just so controversial when it was released, and it was actually accidentally released like, a week early, so it's ending was all over the place. I got the ending and Paz's ultimate fate spoiled for me too, but even then it's not a huge event that really mattered. From certain trailers with the bomb extraction scene, it kind of seemed like that was coming, and Kojima himself made most of GZ's plot points known when it was revealed.
Like I said, it would have been great if certain events in the game were kept a bit more secret, but it's a prologue anyways, not too much is being ruined.
That's the problem I had with GZ being released as a standalone product
TPP trailers were based on GZ being released alongside TPP so scenes like the mother base destruction, which were kind of minor in the larger scale of the game, ended up being completely ruined in GZ because now it turned into an actual ending rather than the game's intro.
It didn't have the same effect it was supposed to that way
can you imagine going into Ground Zeroes totally blind and coming home and seeing Mother Base completely on fire
I mean granted, even when you're expecting it's still rough but just imagine if you had no idea that was coming

I did that, but I hadn't played MGS3/peacewalker beforehand
can you imagine if returning to Mother Base actually had you touch down in a small mission of its own and fight your way across at least one of the struts to get to Miller and extract him before everything utterly collapses
Like, I don't really like how fast the whole thing goes. The attack was happening shortly before Big Boss gets there, but he's only down for two minutes and nearly everything is already collapsing, blowing up and sinking into the ocean. It probably wouldn't of benefited much from being playable, but I would've liked the option at least.

they probably made the first bomb much bigger than it needed to be anyway since it was part of the plan that they find it
The only thing that wasn't spoiled by the trailers was the second bomb, which sites like IGN and Kotaku ruined on the spot.
The only surprise in GZ was finding Kojima, I already knew he was in the game but I completely forgot and I didn't know where he would appear. Just like how I knew the big twist in Bioshock before I ever played the game but I completely forgot what it was so I was surprised when it happened.
IMO a good story is one that isn't ruined by being spoiled, or one that when it is spoiled, it fills you with suspense knowing that something is going to happen and there's nothing you can do to stop it so it becomes even better

Going to try not killing anyone in MGS3 this playthrough. Oh boy, oh and getting all the kerotans (thank god for this strategy guide)

When I first heard shooting all the kerotans was an alternate way of unlocking the stealth camouflage I tried to do it. I didn't realise at the time that beating the game without an alert was the easy option.
Hey guys.
Theoriticaly, how much would I be missing by playing TPP on a PS3?
I can't buy a PS4 because its too expensive for someone who doesn't works yet, and a new PC (which I kind of need since this one takes 10 to 30 mins, if not 1 hour of resets to actually boot, excluding extremely old hardware that can barely handle dota 2 on max steadily) is even more out of my league for now. I don't care about modability either, but I feel like I might get a bad experience like bad performance (a dip here and there doesn't really shits on it to me imo) or truly bad graphics in comparison. On the other hand, I don't want to wait beyond september to play it...
What should I do? Straight to PS3 or PS4/PC?

I'd recomend PC mainly since the port is well done(GZ is at least), if PC isn't an option go for a current gen console(PS4/XBONE)
I seriously believe that going last gen should be a last option, I own GZ on both PC and PS3, and even though PS3 is playable, it's still an inferior experience.
Graphics aside, there are some framerate issue, also character and objects fade-in is kind of absurd at times, so I had enemies that I couldn't spot unless I had max zoom on the binoculars even though I wasn't that far away.
If you can afford GZ on steam I'd recommend getting that to see if you can run the game at low settings if you seriously don't care for graphics.
