It's half the size of their previous model, not of the actual Rex. or was that a joke i cant tell
A bad joke :(
these voice actors just wrapped up TPP, and they're joining a metal gear fan site for an interview. i dont think they mind and if they do, they should've figured. thats like when someone interviews ben affleck because he's in the batman vs superman movie and ask him questions about only batman superman stuff. that's not rude.
I was talking about David Hayter.
I don't mind all the MGS related questions, just stuff specifically about TPP. It's like, dude, just wait till you play the game, then all of your questions will be answered. How about you use this rare opportunity to ask the guy about things that can bring aspiring voice actors some great advice. Instead of "Hey! Is Huey a BAD GUY in the Phantom Pain?? Can you answer that question without spoilers plz thnx! :B" It's really dumb.
Do the people you've killed "carry over" if you die? I accidently killed a guy a couple times practicing CQC but then I jumped off the cliff and carried on without killing anyone else. But then Snake told Zero he killed some sentries when I hadn't killed anyone.
I still wonder how the saves are going to transfer over. If I saved all the prisoners, does the game always register that I saved them or am I going to have to save them all again if I decide to replay it.

There's a reason why the stats at the end count for how many times you continued if I remember right. So yeah, kills probably do count if you continue, so reloading saves on a pacifist run is required to truly reset the matter.
Apparently some journalist contacted Dr. Canavero about the whole TPP doctor thing, and this was his response: Uh ooooh...

Man fuck this guy.
Man that journalist fucked up.
Man that journalist fucked up.
Doesn't matter. The character is face scanned from an actual person so there's no way he'd be able to sue.
Man fuck this guy.
He shouldn't be suing but "fuck this guy?" It says on the name of the video the money would go to head transplant research, something that could be very huge in the future.
How do I kill the retarded singing robot in peace walker? I've been targeting it's Ai box or whatever, it just won't die.
How do I kill the retarded singing robot in peace walker? I've been targeting it's Ai box or whatever, it just won't die.
Which one?
He shouldn't be suing but "fuck this guy?" It says on the name of the video the money would go to head transplant research, something that could be very huge in the future.
An operation that Dr. Canavero would get paid for. Heck he gets money for not doing one; he's doing "research". Also he's implying he owns the rights to the procedures when he implies he can sue because the game might use head transplants. He's an idiot. Most people who are going to sue don't: - Go on a media spree about how they're going to sue - Are confident they're going to get literally every time that the product they are suing makes - File a lawsuit AND at the same time file for compensation - Talk to the police about this matter (it is literally a private court thing) He's a fucking idiot that thinks he is on top of the world because he did some media tours recently. I'm willing to bet his research is probably paper thing and most peers laugh it.
The lawsuit won't get anywhere
So they're getting hit legal issues and may have to make changes just because some retards take the KOJIMA RUSE CRUISE too seriously. This is why we can't have nice things. The MGSV doctor is based on an actual actor who lent his likeness and does the motion capture/voice for that character so I have hope that this won't go anywhere since it's merely a coincidence that they look alike. Last time Russians were involved in a lawsuit with the MGS series, Kojima decided to stop using the iconic main theme because the melody was somewhat similar to that of an old Russian composer.

He's just going to be wasting money on his lawyers that could be used for going towards his research. Hes' just screwing himself over if he follows through.
Man fuck this guy.
God, it just oozes sleaziness. "How much will this cost? Oh wow! That'd cover the surgery and more!" I'm sure Kojima wanted a similar looking individual, because both are performing crazy surgeries. But to sue? That's silly. They have full right to use a similar looking actor, and there isn't anything he can do to stop it. I also must mention the fact that there are people thinking Kojima did this on purpose to get the guy to sue Konami, but that's crazier than the theory that the doc is in on a marketing campaign.
I doubt Kojima even knew about the doctor. MGSV has been in development for maybe over 5 years and Canavero didn't announce his transplant research 'til 2013.
I just hope konami doesn't cave, either by giving him money or by changing the game (even if it is just a model swap)
I doubt Kojima even knew about the doctor. MGSV has been in development for maybe over 5 years and Canavero didn't announce his transplant research 'til 2013.
Well, when did the MGSV doctor first appear? It easily could have been a random doctor chosen in the beginning, and after the doc announced the transplant research they used an actor similar to him. I'd say it's a little past a coincidence.
I just hope konami doesn't cave, either by giving him money or by changing the game (even if it is just a model swap)
They wont have to. They face scanned an actual person/actor so he's got no right to sue at all.

This is also discounting the fact that Ian Moore aside, not only is the doctor possibly just a one-off character with no plot importance (although we don't know for sure obviously), it's a very generic doctor appearance all things considered. Bald man with slight fuzz and trace amounts of hair on the head, rounded spectacles - it's the sort of stereotypical doctor appearance. I'm pretty sure the entire surgery thing was coincidences, but people blow everything out of proportion.
They wont have to. They face scanned an actual person/actor so he's got no right to sue at all.
That's why I said cave. Not forced to, they just do [editline]22nd April 2015[/editline] Also that rex figure is sick but 230? :( Maybe I should sell my dk2 for it
That's why I said cave. Not forced to, they just do [editline]22nd April 2015[/editline] Also that rex figure is sick but 230? :( Maybe I should sell my dk2 for it
There's nothing to cave into if they're not actually using his likeness though.
This guy needs a head transplant to remove his head from his ass.
There's nothing to cave into if they're not actually using his likeness though.
There was nothing to cave into with the MGS theme either, but they changed it.
There was nothing to cave into with the MGS theme either, but they changed it.
There was concrete proof it sounded exactly the same as another song which is most definitely grounds for a lawsuit. This isn't comparable.
There was concrete proof it sounded exactly the same as another song which is most definitely grounds for a lawsuit. This isn't comparable.
Yeah, it is. A character in a multi-million dollar video game that looks almost exactly the same as a doctor about to go through a major operation. Not saying that this is grounds for a lawsuit, but it's stupid to say that the situation with the main theme "isn't comparable".
